SCTIMST, Trivandrum Review

I am one of your millions of beneficiaries. Doctors, paramedics, superintendents, receptionists, staff, labor treats are all very nice. There are some downsides to getting an appointment, waiting in the admission, waiting room, (if that's what I mean) waiting for the pain of illness. nice hospitality. successfully done surgery on c2,c3 avm with brain anuerysm and SAH (Rare and critical condition) on march 2018 . now iam perfectly alright . good doctors and staffs ..
they only acepts patients in critical condition.

to get admissions you have to directly contact doctors with detaild report s of patient.

It's a heart and brain centre. Centre for excellence in services. Insurances and govt health scheme's can be accepted here .

I went to SCT hospital today (16-09-18) to enquire about doctors availability and details of neuro OP. I met a security who was sitting infront of the reception door and he was atyentive. Later went to the neuro dept to know more. Two securities were there at the door and they misbihaved. They behaved like travencotr King, even King will not behave like this. These kind of peopep should understand the situation and emotions who comes to a hospital. I dont understand why the management tolerate them.

It is a big hoapital and doctors are also good. I found a problem that only two vistors are allowed at a time to visit patient.

Medical treatment is wonderful ..Dr. Are very careful..
But some points to be see and watch very carefully
1. If u don't belongs to south don't come here u will be treated horribly.
2. Nursing staff is two bad to care other region's people's.
3.Security never listen anybody they having there own Norms even in emergency
4.No food for attendant even if he couldn't leave patients
5. We have waited almost 7 days to our torn..
And we got appointment of morning 7.am and finally attendant of Dr. Met us at 7.00 PM
6.They had given a letter to contact social worker. And daily to check bed availability
Finally we got bed after 3 days.
We have wonderful feedback for best treatment of in india available in chitra institutes only and I m highly convinced at Dr.Part only ..
All other things are rubbish

Apex institute, good fecilitiea, situated inside medical college campus

We visited the neuro and cardio departments in June 2020. I am not going to write more about the treatment and other details as it is easily available on their website.

For those people who are looking for parking details, there are few free parking slots along the hospital road and there is a paid parking area (Rs 10 i guess) in a nearby plot.

We need a reference letter from any allopathy practioner to get an appointment. Be there by 7 or 8 am to get a token, expect spending a day for any minor check-ups.

Cardio waiting area has a cafeteria. We can take photostats from the cafeteria. Make sure to take ration card and aadhar card copy for appointments. Also get all the previous medical history files when you go to SCT.

Cardio department security may not allow to enter with large bags, specially with food.

The announcements are in Malayalam, so non-native speakers might find it difficult to follow the instructions.

The only hospital where there is a board saying "go somewhere else if you don't like the service provided here " in the world i think . But has the best of the profession . A really good hospital after all .

PG's collecting complete patients history & Doctor giving prescription... It's hard for us to wait & follow their protocols... single visit will not make much difference!!! Securities behaviour at Neuro OPD will screw you & will make us fresdturated before reaching Doctor!!! It's kind request for management to look out the securities Attitudes!!!!

It's one of the best hospital in South India for heart related disease. It's an affordable hospital for all types of people.

A patient is not told about the no of patient before him/her. So, you can plan your time. They will simply ask to wait. Display with numbering system should be available. This will reduce crowd, effectively manage the crowd and patients will be relaxed, can go out for food etc if they need. At cash counter token numbers, digital display is there. Why not at OPD!! Treatment may be better for but management is not proper.

For more than 2 years my son was suffering from epilepsy. The seizures frequency increased a lot. We had tried with lot many doctors in Vadodara and Mumbai, but in vain. We were about to lose our hope when one fine day we came to know about the Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST) in Trivandrum, Kerala.
When we approached them, the Neurologist & Epileptologist department gave a prompt response and appointment. Our experience here was really nice and their hospitality is praiseworthy.
Initial primary evaluation and diagnosis was completed successfully and the treatment was started. Within one and half months of treatment we could notice the improvement in my son. We are at great relief today.

I am delighted and salute to the Doctors and staff working delicately for patient management. I took my daughter their and observed that everything is there is by appointments only and you have to simply wait for your turn, after your turn they will take care absolutely upto patient and their relatives satisfaction. Hats Off to the Institute and their management. I did not find any difficulty, although one must go with sufficient time for treatment accordingly to the individual problem.

In Sri chitra hospital everyone they do work effectively and more patience, I really thank full to each and everyone.

One of the finest super speciality hospital in India. Institute has Cardiology, Neurology and BioMedical Engg departments. As it is an Institution of National Importance they do try to maintain the standards better than private hospitals. I personally feel like the place is quite understaffed. Apart from that front desk staff, security are quite helpful.

Best Central govt hospital, Treatment wise it is the best in south India for Cardiac, Neuro. The problem here is the admission, nurses and other staff behaviour, heavily crowded always, they wont have proper planning for appointments. Waiting area is always full. Still we bear all these we can get BEST TREATMENT. Attaching some images of the crowd inside the hospital outside OPD. More waiting area must be organised or chairs needed for the patients. Hope some authorities who is responsible must check this and help the patients

Five stars for the care and excellent doctors.
I was there for 5 days with my uncle who is a neuro patient. He was rejected by the private hospitals and admitted in sree chitra , they easily rectified the problems in his body with some scans and started treatment the second day and he is now normal.

I can't write a good review on hospitals as i am not a doctor and don't know what's happening inside the icu and operation theatres.
Compared to the nearby medical college hospital sree chitra hospital is much clean and tidy, and the services like labs and scans reports are automated and one can easily generate the copy of reports using kiosk.
