For a Renaissance I was a little disappointed. I travel a lot for work, so if I pay more, I expect more, and a lot of these places are so standard and stock that you start to miss the cheaper places that put out multiple flavors of water and cookies. This place did the things you expect a hotel to do but don't expect to write home about anything special.

The service at this hotel is excellent, however the toilet in our room would not flush properly and by the end of our stay, it wouldn't flush at all. Maintenance came twice, but he was going to have to remove the commode to fix it, and wanted to wait until we left, leaving us with a non functioning toilet. I asked if we could go into anew empty room on the floor to use the restroom...No. IMO This hotel is too expensive for anything not to be functional, especially the toilet.

We were comped our valet charges because of the room issue.

They handled the storm really well. Lights went out but they were really professional and still had backup lights to at least keep it somewhat illuminated. Very clean and beautiful. Highly recommended.

Everything was fantastic except for valet parking! This was the most disorganized valet service I've ever experienced in all of my travels. It's 2018 use a computer system that can integrate to phone apps and your phone system. Stop being cheap trying to use posted notes and a clipboard!!!. I called several times over the span of 30 minutes. Finally decided to walk down gave the attendant my ticket number and of course he forgot to write it down. Another 15 minutes wasted. Then when he asked what kind of car I drove his tune changed! (Expecting a big tip) I don't tip for bad service!

This hotel is extremely mismanaged. Never stay here. We booked a two night stay for a bachelorette weekend, and in between night one and night two, the hotel mysteriously canceled our reservation, saying we had to evacuate and they'd already moved our belongings out of the room. After hours of conversations, they said they "fixed" the issue, but then we were charged $500 each room for incidentals... Which makes no sense.

The beds were horrible, leaning to one side and noisy. Talking about the double beds. The hotel itself was excellent. Got the deluxe room with two double beds, good size rooms with huge bathroom.

Stayed here last night what a mess. We checked into the room to find hair shavings in both sinks, the lights in the sitting area didn t work, and THERE WAS A ROLLED MARIJUANA BLUNT LAYING ON THE FLOOR IN THE BEDROOM. Yes, you read that right. I enjoy staying at Marriott hotels but will NEVER stay here again.

Staff is friendly and extremely assistive, the rooms are clean and well put together. The restaurant that is attached to the lobby is clean and has good food. The location also has good activities for families. The gym is also equiped with good cardio equipment including 2 Pelotons.

I have to say the young lady GIA..was amazing..her customer service was outstanding. She was paitient and multi tasked while giving quick and efficient service. I didn't get the other young lady name who worked alongside her but she was nice as well. Thank you GIA for being amazing.

Let me be clear, I did not stay at this hotel. I attended a corporate work function on 12/12 11-3pm. This was a day event, no alcohol served. Upon leaving the hotel I crossed through the first double glass doors. My heel got caught in a grate or something. I bystander saw and said be careful people are getting their heels caught. I proceeded to get to my car as it was 45 degrees. When arriving home and removing my Valentino Rockstud Heels, the heel has been clearly caught. Additionally the heel tab had come off. I contacted the hotel today on 12/13, after a work commitment. Let's start with the receptionist response. I gave her the short version, she said I can transfer you to a manager but I'm sure they probably aren't going to do anything (bad sign). I'm transferred to Matt who picks up on speaker. "Hello, this is Matt".. "Hi Matt how are you?", "living the dream". I knew with the sarcasm, this wasn't going to go well. I explained to Matt I'm not sure if I should proceed as the front desk said you probably couldn't do anything. He said she just likes to waste my time (again, I'm thinking this isn't going to go well). I proceed to tell Matt-- mind you it was a very large event so they made a lot of money and should have been extremely accommodating. Matt, is baffled and has never heard of such a thing. He differs to his Chief Engineer. Apparently because I left the premises they can't do anything about it. Well considering I was exiting a building with dozens, hundreds of people and trying to get out of the cold it never occurred for me to stop and examine my shoe. Camera's and the person I was with can attest to me getting caught in something. I'm extremely disappointed in the response nor the empathy. Even if I planned to return to this location, its not happening now.

To be fair the lobby and dinning facility was beautiful.

Never got our wakeup call. Thankfully we woke up ten minutes before on our own. Other than that the staff was very accommodating and friendly. The front desk made certain the foam pillows that had to be swapped for the usual feather, because of allergies, arrived. Great room. Only downsides is paying extra for everything: valet parking, wifi in room, local phone calls, etc. Had we received our wakeup call I would gladly give five star rating.

Attended a wedding event and stayed here while looking for places to live in Atlanta. Wedding event was decorated and sleek, but it wasn't clear whether hotel staff were helping directly with the event or not. When I stayed at the hotel, it was very clean and an upper end hotel, but charged for internet (unless you were a Marriott Rewards member) which was a bit of an annoyance after paying a good bit for the room. Regardless, it was a good hotel.

The hotel seems fine... The only problem is a big one if you are a business traveler.... The beds are old and saggy... I'm not a big person and usually don't complain about this stuff but this was embarrassing for a 4-star hotel. I will not stay here again because of it.. It's a shame too. Also it didn't help that I was supposed to have a king but when I arrived the only had full size beds left.

Hotel in mid town atlanta. Quite central location and a good fall out place for the surroundings. Staff is friendly and very helpfull, the lobby is stylish, i liked the reuse of old item into art, wad one very well. The wall of old casettes the sculptures od cutlery etc etc. Rooms are nice and they follow the feel of the hotel. Food in the restoraunt is ok but nothing more. What i didnt like was the music in the elevator, way to loud.

Beautiful room, wonderful service and the rooftop bar is wonderful. I will stay here again when I am visiting Atlanta. We received a complimentary alcoholic drink voucher which was a great way to start the Memorial Day holiday weekend. The hotel is close/walking distance to many restaurants, coffee shops and near the Georgia Tech campus.

I normally don't care much for large hotels (more of an AirBnb guy) but the Renaissance's unique interior decor really piqued my interest and eventually won me over. The lobby in particular has a disco-pop vibe, but at the same time is very accommodating.

The staff was friendly and helpful when needed. The hotel bar does specials every week night, in case you need to wind down after a long conference or something. And the rooms themselves are artful and clean.

Location-wise, the place is smack dab in the middle of downtown, near some great restaurants and bars in walking distance. Ubers are also easy to get in the area.

Posh room, but WiFi was an expensive extra. A friend delivered tickets for me at the front desk, the desk clerk said she put them in my room, but I was in the room waiting for them. Never did find those tickets.

Came here for a conference. Company reserved rooms and I checked in before noon. They said they would call when my room was ready, nothing. They said rooms would be ready by 430, nothing. Went to my conference, finished and came back to the front desk and, guess what, nothing. It is now 530, and I am sitting in the lobby waiting. No time table, no alternative rooms, no apology, again nothing. Thanks for nothing Renaissance.

Clean, quiet, well decorated rooms, with nice views of the skyline from the upper floors. The lobby is very nice, and the restaurant on the bottom floor is top notch. Don't be deceived by the rooftop bar, it's on the 2nd floor, not the 27th, but the service is great.

My wife and I stayed there last weekend and had a horrible experience. Let's just start with the horrible parking that basically causes a traffic jam along the street. Valet takes forever (15 minutes) to retrieve your vehicle. The beds in the rooms are not comfortable and are very springy and lack comfort. The staff seemed friendly but when asked about changing rooms due to a bad smell, they were unaccommodating. The DJ in the lobby is pointless and it's a very weird scene of an evening. We saw a water beetle in our bathtub and called the front desk, staff wouldn't move rooms because none were available and refused a refund so we could go elsewhere. Just an overall horrible experience and we won't be returning unless things are made right.

Had a nice visit this past week. The lobby is in the middle of a renovation but check-ins still ran smoothly. Used the exercise room and they provide water, towels, apples & ear buds. Everyone i encountered was friendly and smiled. Great service from all, including the valet. I recommend and would return. Hope to see it when all the renovations are complete.

Really nice, spacious rooms, and the whole hotel was clean and updated. Nice staff really topped things off. Rooms had large TVs, a mini fridge, and plenty of storage for our stuff. Hotel is surrounded by lots of restaurants, so plenty of options there. Would definitely stay here again!

First I would like to say I am a Marriott Rewards ...

First I would like to say I am a Marriott Rewards Member so I booked our hotel straight from their website and not through a 3rd party. So I was able to request a high floor, extra towels, early check in, etc. They have a mobile app to help you request those type of things.

1.) Loved that we could inform the hotel that we would be arriving early and was able to request to check in early, we arrived around 10am, and check in was at 4pm so that was great that we were able to go straight to our room, without waiting for hours.

2.) Front desk staff was helpful, even informed me on how I could gain some extra points during our stay. Offered to make dinner reservations for us, very polite, we did order room service a few times it was valentines weekend so me and my husband at times opted to not leave the room. ;-) So room service, breakfast and late night ice cream came quickly and the staff was so nice and polite.

3.) My one complaint is the valet service, we had $40 dollars in our car to be used for tolls. It wasn't just sitting out so whomever took it went looking very hard. Made my husband very angry. But we were already having a good time, I told him it was just $40, hopefully whoever stole it better really be in need because Karma will get them. Plus i don't like the idea of making a scene over that small amount of money their was a bunch of cheerleaders (pre-teens) in the lobby with their mothers. So I figured i'll just write a review later.

4.) Room was wonderful I love how the tv is set up so that you can see a list of the channels instead of having to click through them. The bed was heaven it was hard to get up. Bathroom was clean. Our phone didn't work when we first got there, but the front desk sent someone right up to fix it, then that phone became our best friend when ordering room service. lol

5.) When checking out I couldn't use the app to select check out so the front desk staff was helpful enough to just take my name and room number and let me know they could just email me the bill. Which they did, and it was very helpful, we decided to leave early to miss the Atlanta traffic.

I loved our stay, everything was basically perfect, just if we do come back I will remember that we should empty the toll money out of our car too.
