For the price, I feel that I shouldn t leave the hotel more tired than I arrived. The room was just ok, not really any extra amenities, just ok. The bed was the worst bed I ve ever slept on. The trip was planned for a nice, quiet, relaxing weekend to unwind and rest. I ve stayed in way lower quality hotels with beds more comfortable than this bed. It felt like the mattress is over a hundred years old with the springs poking through to my back. The concierge at check in was super helpful but after that my experience with the others was a waste of time. They were no help at all. When we asked about nearby restaurants they spoke to us as if we knew our way around this city which we did not, so we walked around way after dark searching for these places. The restaurant was the best thing about the hotel, the food was great and the staff was friendly and accommodating. I will never ever stay at this hotel again.

Very small room for the price. Room was HOT and not easy to cool down with poor AC unit. Was woken up several times in middle of night from belligerent guests in the hall. Pillows were chunky and my head fell straight through them, bed was ok comfortable. Toilet paper roll was half gone upon entering. Tub is small and had black particles that came off the metal fixture and mixed with the water when attempting to take a bath. View was unimpressive from 9th floor. Valet was terrible and took over 20 minutes, they couldn't find my keys at first and then acted like I never called to get my car back. Internet not included in price. Better off staying somewhere cheaper.

Accommodations were absolutely fantastic... After we got a room. We arrived at check-in time from out of state and were told that we had to be put on a wait list for a room (we had a reservation). The entire lobby was apparently FULL of people waiting for a room. This threw our evening plans off by a few hours which was very disappointing. Instead of having a few hours to to rest and relax before getting ready to head out for the night, we had to change in the restrooms, check our bags, skip the nap, and deal with settling in later that night. Our frustration would perhaps have been alleviated by an apologetic staff. But instead were made to feel like WE were the crazy ones for expecting a room. Unbelievable. There are lots of nice hotels in Atlanta. We'll try another next time.

Luxury hotel right in Midtown Atlanta. The staff is very friendly, great customer service, the lobby is amazing, the bar is beautiful (beers are $7.5 and cocktails/drinks are $10+). I ve stayed here the last two years and my stay has been pleasant.
Rooms are very nice and spacious, I loved the art on them.

The hotel front desk staff, this does not apply to you for stay weekend of June 24, 2017. This hotel has a horrible sales staff that is borderline unethical so beware if booking large parties at this hotel. You will hear "we've met our obligation," even when they have clearly not met terms in the contract such as cutting off your group rate early so when guests call in they are told it's full when it's not. Then not willing to make it right to your satisfaction even with proof guests had to find other accommodations at a higher price due to their error. And then there's the cleaning staff. A hotel employee told me there is not enough staff to clean the rooms which is why the bride has to get dressed in the lobby bathroom and was an hour late for her rehearsal because rooms weren't cleaned two hours after check in time. People were stacked in the lobby waiting for an hour for their rooms to be cleaned before they could check in. If you know you don't have enough staff then don't book the business. Who books four wedding parties at a hotel on the same weekend if you know you can't get the rooms cleaned. Asked for adjoining rooms due to autistic children. Didn't get it but when called the sales/booking group that confirmed the adjoining rooms, they still insisted that we actually had adjoining rooms. Ummm, no they weren't! Wouldn't accept yet another error and repeated "we met our obligation." Wouldn't even try to make it right. And let's not forget the valet shakedown close to midnight outside my room who said he would discount my $32 parking to $25 if I paid him directly IN CASH! Yes he was an employee who came back and stamped my ticket paid once he got the cash. And they are now trying to shakedown my Mom to pay for two nights stay that were already charged to MY credit card, telling her SHE would need to be the one to call around to correct the error. Great rooms, great location, but horrible people experience. Don't say you weren't warned. I have now met My obligation to warn the general public.

The front desk staff members were AMAZING. My sister and I had a weather delay and arrived 6 hours late to check in Miss Monae, Taylor, and Saheed got us checked in and into a room without any problems. I must say this is the only hotel I will stay in when in Atlanta it is in the perfect location and staff is AWESOME!

Loved staying here! The staff was SO welcoming and friendly. My wife and I stayed here for our 2nd anniversary. The room was clean upon arrival, and the view was stunning. We had the privilege to stay on the top floor, and had a great view of the city.

Would certainly stay again!

There are no stairs connecting to the lobby, so when large events are in the area there can be lines for the elevators. Other than that, the staff is very professional and the atmosphere is sophisticated.

I have stayed at several hotels in the area, and sadly this one was a disappointment. During our big move with a baby, we realized later in the afternoon that we would have had to stay at a hotel that night. Through a third party I booked Renaissance Atlanta Midtown and felt relieved to know that we would get a good night sleep after a very long heavy day of moving. I called an hour ahead to request a crib in our room for our baby. This is something I do on a regular basis when staying at hotels, and it is never an issue. Even through the pandemia, I have done that and the hotels have been very accommodating and understanding of needing a space for the baby to rest as well. The lady who answered the phone was bothered about my request. She said that she was working alone and had no time to go look for a crib, but that she was going to try before our arrival, or else, I would just have to wait until security arrived, which would have been 11pm. SERIOUSLY?? Am I supposed to wait until 11pm with an already tired baby until you can go find me a crib? I booked a hotel because I wanted to be assured that we had a place to comfortably sleep. That was the whole point, and now I am being told that I might just have to wait until 11pm so I can put my baby down to sleep?
I explained to her that we were in desperate need of rest and a crib for the baby and hoped that she would find it imperative to find us a crib so we could do what we paid for, to rest!
I arrived to the hotel an hour later, and asked if they had been able to arrange the crib. She looked at me like I was crazy and told me that she hadn't had time because she was working by herself and couldn't find me a crib.
My blood boils just to think of the attitude she gave me. Like I was asking for a crazy request. She wasn't apologetic or even concerned with the fact that I had nowhere to put my child to sleep. I was just asking for a bed for my baby. Why would she have an attitude with me and make me feel like I was asking for too much. We were so tired and exhausted from the day. My daughter was half asleep already in my arms.
The crib never came. My baby has never slept in a bed with someone else, so it was an extremely exhausting night and no one got any rest or sleep. Not even an apology for never getting us a crib. Not even an update. Nothing. Absolutely nothing.
This saddens me. My husband has worked in the hotel industry for many years, and he was blown away by the lack of customer service and inconsideration.
What an incredible shame.

For some reason, every time I stay at a Renaissance I get put in an ADA accessible room. In this case, it just meant that the bar in the wardrobe was low so I couldn't hang up my suit pants or dress. However, my main dislike of the room was due to the poor design. There was an outlet in the desk "for convenience" but it was on the side facing the wall. Given that must cell phone plugs are 2 inches, a 2.5 inch clearance between desk and wall doesn't make it easy to plug your phone in to charge. What would have been better is if they included power outlets in the nightstand. My other gripes with the room were the lack of alarm clock and a waste basket. How can a room not have a waste basket? The hotel was otherwise clean and well maintained. I was staying there for business purposes so if I am ever back in Atlanta for personal reasons, I would not pick this hotel.

Yes, I would love to give xetails of our wxperiexpe! From the moment we got to check-in desk on the day of our 10 year wedding anniversary until the day we checked out (4 days 3 nights) the customer service was horrible! We are Marriot loyalty members and we were treated like they could care less about our busineeb. We arrived late due to my disablities causing us to have to stop on the way several times, got there & just wanted to use our sip & dine we had picked along with our reservation.
We we're told it wasn't on reservation. No offer of any way to fix it just it's not on here, please give us your credit card. We brought cash to pay and we're ready to give credit card for valet and "just in case" but pay cash for actual stay. We were told they don't accept cash. Please give them a credit card to put the full amount of stay on, plus 150$/night for ''incidentals" & $35 night for valet.weve never been charged that much at Marriot for incidentals deposit nor at cheaper or more expensive places! We talked to the gentleman helping up with luggage and he said new management was there and that he would say something for us, but as far as policies all he knew was new management.
So we had $1100 + change charged to our card on Thursday & didn't get the money back until the following Thursday. One week $1100 was held up for "just in case deposit" & a room we were going to pay cash for! We have been able to pay cash at the Waldorf! The night manager told us they didn't take cash AS SHE WAS COUNTING CASH FOR NIGHT TIME DEPOSIT!.
She said she was management. There was another woman there who wasn't management. When we asked what to do they both stared at us & said find an ATM and come back. This was 8pm on Thursday evening in MIDTOWN Atlanta. We had no clue where a bank of ours was! They didn't offer directions, they didn't offer another solution. We asked what if we weren't prepared to pay $400 extra tonight? She said that she would have to cancel reservation AND still charge us for room that night bc we were cancelling at last moment.
No other options were offered, no extra help was given. We spoke to day manager on Friday, he offered condolences & champagne & strawberries that evening. That was kind of him to do but nothing else was offered.
The Saturday before we left I had a meeting with several women I had to be at. We went down to valet to get our vehicle and we're told they couldn't find our keys
They asked manager. They asked other valet workers. No one knew and no one searched, they stood around or helped other guests. Our vehicle was "valet" parked the entire stay on the street. We could've kept our own keys and NOT PAID VALET, but according toarriot manager, we HAD TO OAY VALET AND USE VALET. No other choices. So, while no one helped us find our keys, an hour passes by. I was late to the meeting up and the women left without me. We we're meeting then going to grab food and meet with some doctors in Atlanta to discuss a chronic illness we all share.. A meet and greet and lecture type event, to clarify. I missed this event that happens once a year bc of the $35 a night valet on the street. That was main reason we went to midtown location!
I could keep going but I am tired of typing.
We have been loyalty members, we were elite members, for 8+ yrs. We always stay at Marriot unless in Washington DC, then we stay at Waldorf or out of country for personal vacation and we stay at Sandals.
We've stayed at Motel 8 before out of emergency. None of these places treated us like this. None have ever refused cash, not charged this much on our credit card for "deposit' None have forced us to use valet service, then made us miss an event, but still make us pay for that day valet! All would have offered ANY SOLUTION! WE were offered 6 strawberries & a twist off top bottle of champagne. We are unhappy beyond words with this hotel staff.
I gave three stars bc the room was nice & the bellhop was nice. Also, be ause bc we like EVERY other marriot we have stayed at, even this one 3 years ago, have had good C.S.& nice rooms.

terrible hotel, where do I even start...

1. Right away I knew I made a mistake when i entered the hotel and they charged my debit card 75 dollars just because it was a debit card.

2. The parking is NOT optional, and they charge you 39 bucks per day for valet, which is absurd.

3. The room was soaked when we walked in, everything felt dirty.

4. We left the room at 7am and did not come back until 4pm, when we entered the room it was still not cleaned, the trash was full and all towels were left on the floor, glad to see all the extra fees this hotel charges is hard at work.

5. area is terrible, the only nice thing was there was a publix right across the street, however I felt like I was going to get mugged any second, had 4 total strangers come up to me and it wasn't in a southern hospitality kind of way at all.

6. Room service and the morning breakfast prices are insulting, its 27 dollars for a steak, 20 dollars for breakfast the restaurant didn't even look that upscale. however my wife was sincerely upset that our vacation was being ruined by these people that I ordered her a nice steak dinner for room service even though I knew the cost. what came next was truly amazing, the steak was only 4 slices of beef, it was no bigger than 3-4 inches, and the rest of the plate was filled with Mc Donalds style fries........

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE, PLEASE, IT IS A TOTAL NIGHTMARE, if you choose to stay here please know that your entire stay in Atlanta will be completely ruined by these people.

Your typical american hotel, bad expensive taste. What I liked most is the long patronising brochures on environment protection, while the elevator was actually covered with 5 tons of marble. The usual US incoherence. Staff was not very friendly, food was of the worst I have had in the US (and believe me it can get terrible).

What an incredible experience I had at this property! I hosted my best friends baby shower in the Alliance room. The Alliance Banquet room is a nice room for intimate events of about 20-25 people and includes an outdoor area, which I found incredibly convenient. Guests did not have to go thru the hotel lobby to get into the event unless they wanted to. The setup was beautiful and the food was wonderfully presented. The staff went above and beyond to ensure menu selections and the guest of honor's satisfaction . All of the attendees were amazed at what we pulled off in nearly 600 square feet of event space.
I opted for the Presidential Suite as my accommodation for the night. It was big enough for everyone to move around comfortably, have drinks and most importantly rest up after a full day. I was very modern with a city view. The jacuzzi was refreshing. The bedding was comfortable and I was overall satisfied with the level of cleanliness. I look forward to staying at this property again the next time I visit Atlanta and may very well have an event here for myself.:-).
Cheers to a wonderful weekend without a hitch!

The hotel bellman are just too greedy for money. Am a taxi driver n been noting that when customers request for a taxi they call limos for them so they can get 5 or 10 dollars from the limo.
The taxi ride is 32 unlike the limo who charge them 40to 60 depending on how much the bellman demanded.
The customer is forced to wait outside the hotel despite there being a taxi or a cheaper transport to airport waiting or just passing by.
This has been the trend.Today ,a customer came to me forcefully despite being told to wait for a limo.
He was visibly worked up for that long wait despite my presence across the street
Thanks

Very loud noise. I could hear every sound above and outside of my room. It was extremely hard to get any kind of rest at any part of the day. Room was ok. Could of been cleaned a little better. I may have just had a bad room. Not sure if I would ever stay there again.

Super friendly front desk staff and entrance greeters. It is located in mid-town Atl, and so of course parking was a challenge. 2 choices: Street parking or valet. Took me 40 minutes of driving around this hotel before I finally was able get a metered parking space--But luckily it was only a block away.

It disappoints me to write this. I love ALL Marriott locations and affiliates. However, my most recent experience was highly lacking.

2 days before my arrival at this location, I received an email that they had overbooked and I needed to cancel my reservation or book at a sister location 15 miles away! I replied asking if they could please keep me close by as my daughter was performing at a competition less than a mile away. I was told they had called all nearby locations and none were available. I explained that I didn't mind to relocate, but within reason. 15 miles away is ridiculous! But she still said for me to either relocate or cancel! I then called several other Marriott affiliated locations in the surrounding area and found available rooms at each location. I was very disappointed at the lack of help and understanding I received from the Housing Coordinator, Lenice Dower, that I was corresponding with.
I have always used Marriott, but feel this location really missed the mark. They didn't live up to the Marriott service I've grew so fond of.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating but the parking was terrible. Being forced to pay $32 a night for valet on top of the high priced room was not ideal. It took forever for them to retrieve our car. After calling to insure we get a king room upon check in they wanted to put us in a double room. The room was clean but small for the price. It was quiet and overall nice but next time we will not stay in the city.

On 8/18 I left my car to the valet overnight until 8/19. I left my new car I had just bought literally not even 2 months ago with a lady and even joked about keeping my car safe. Later after a fun wedding night for my friend I got my car by a nice gentleman, and in the haze of trying to get the car packed and get out for another appointment I didn't not check my car. It was my mistake. It appears as though someone scratched their keys across my car as they got in or out. First let me say I would rather at least be told of when a incident like this happens so I can call my insurance as quick as possible to get the car fixed, second if the company stance is to leave it unnoticed until it's called upon it's disheartening because the hotel staff in the hotel was phenomenal, but for good sakes are you joking with me? If the staff aren't trained to handle this please do, if the staff are reckless please remind them they are handling cars, especially mine, that cost over 30,000 if not more sometimes. The fact that I only stayed for a hot second just baffles me and that everyone seemed cheery yet I had to see this in the middle of my day and now I'm stumbling to get my insurance on the phone on a Sunday. I just can't believe that, other then the staff being so welcoming and fun, everything from the scratchy towels to the dehydrating shampoos and conditioners (which to be fair I don't normally use, but I had this event last minute planned) and the fact that half of the outlets in the room didn't work just adds insult to ingury. I could have overlooked most everything as I'm not that picky but having my new baby for lack of better words abused in some way doesn't sit well with me or the deductible I have coming to fix it. Honestly maybe someone else will have better luck, give it a shot. But just be warry of the valet.
