We liked this hotel immensely. My wife and I stayed for business and then extended the stay for some touring of the area. It's a nice location, although we were not thrilled with what to see in Atlanta. Still, I would recommend the hotel to anyone.

I would have give this hotel a NO "star" if i had too. Just a horrible experience. Pictures can be deceiving and all the glory they put online when you walk into the hotel, it felt like it needed to be steam cleaned or needed some really good general cleaning. The carpets in the room were soiled not to mention that it stunk! The bathroom showers were dirty. The air conditioning ran all night and it sounded like a big jet plane taking off. The walls were thin. I heard music and people talking in the hallway all night long. I have called this hotel twice to speak to the manager but never returned my call. Please do not stay at this hotel. It is not worth $250.00 considering you have to pay $30.00 in parking. The name of the manager is Mr. Egelbeye. His voicemail is weird too when i left a vm. He said he is trying to discover new things in his vm.."why don't you discover that your hotel is a not well maintained!". I would not even pay $100 to stay at this hotel. We also used their shuttle service to drive and pick us up for dinner which is three miles away. We waited over an hour and fifteen minutes to be picked up after dinner. The driver said that he is trying to find us when we were right in front of a big shopping landmark. Everything was a total lie. Why don't you just admit that maybe you are goofing around! sorry! It is filthy and dirty! just disgusting! Rest assured I will contact a higher up Marriott.

Horrible experience!!!!

Horrible experience!!!!
Had the hotel booked well in advance. Check in day drove the hotel (few hours away). Called the hotel once getting to Atlanta to see where their parking is located. They told us they don t have our reservation, after four phone calls later, they magically find the reservation. When we drop the car off, and walk in, they tell us they do not have us in the system. After we just got off the phone. We talked to a male that told us the confirmation. The lady at the front desk continues to tell us they do not have any males that work there. Which is funny because later that day three males at the front desk.
She was rude when we tried to give her the confirmation, again stating we don t have males here at the front desk.
The valet people had both sets of the keys, and when we tried to get the second set they looked at us like we were crazy. Told him what was on my key ring.
BUT hey, they have a hotel bar so when they make you mad you can have a drink!

I booked direct online and my rate was to include breakfast and parking. I was not credited anything back for the visitor parking of $30+ or my breakfast. I've reached out to the accounting dept twice now with no response. Additionally there is a $78 charge on my card that I did not authorize. The staff was nice enough but service was lacking in all areas except the breakfast service was stellar. I was very underwhelmed by everything else.

As a loyal Marriott customer, I've stayed in many of their properties for both work and pleasure. This hotel ranks high as one of my favorites. Excellent staff, clean, modern rooms, and great views of the city from the high floors. I always look forward to staying here.

I was skeptical about my stay at Renaissance because of the reviews posted. My company selected the hotel for me and I was surprised by the low ratings and complaints because it looked like a nice place online. I have nothing but positive things to say about the staff and room. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and professional. The accommodations and cleanliness of the room was upscale. And Midtown is great! I felt safer walking from the Marta to my room than I did near my conference or Peachtree station. Better food in the area, too!

I did not get a room but I did dine in at the restaurant. My waiter/bartender made my experience great. She advised me on great options like the salmon sandwich blackened and I LOVED MY DRINK she made with jalapenos...she said I just had to try it. I believe her name is Aleasher.

I booked two rooms a month in advance with a guaranteed credit card so they had the money and the time. I asked that just one of the two rooms had to have two beds. ( Only request ). Well you know the situation "we don't have one and you did not request it". Called the company and of course it was requested so she lied which they admitted later was "their mistake". Friend slept on a rollaway in a $275 room. Ordered coffee on room service same night and got it after hour and half and three calls later.. Must be new hotel, new people, overwhelmed, incompetent but untruthful, and poor service. Avoid at all costs for at least a year. Then try again. NOT NOW.

This hotel I highly recommend!!! We were stuck at the Atlanta airport for hours all the hotels around the airport were booked because so many flights were delayed!!! This hotel came through, we had no access to our bags so they provided bottled water, toiletries and the very best southern hospitality!!! Tiffany and Gia were great!!! We will return the next time we are delayed in Atlanta.

I stayed here for the Ayn Rand Institute's 2016 Student Conference. The hotel is very nice, and was worth the $154/night I payed. No major issues, though some minor complaints.

The restaurant is too expensive. It would be nice if the elevator didn't require a key card. It also took forever to get our room, and I was never called when it was ready. Service afterwards made up for the mistake.

I travel frequently -- and this is as nice a property as I've stayed in anywhere. Lobby is great and staff is very helpful. It is right on the edge of Georgia Tech's campus, so I figured I'd be going to the Starbucks, restaurants etc.

Hotel is great - giving 3 stars for a separate reason. Make you review your bank account and receipt a few days after you check out. I booked a stay that included breakfast for two. I checked by the front desk before being seated at the restaurant and they let me know that it was indeed breakfast for two. Two days later, I was charged for breakfast and had to call and get it removed.

The staff is very nice. However, the rooms themselves are just mediocre and in need of updating. The sofa in our suite was stained, dirty and the cushions had holes in them. The carpet in our room had stains on it. Everything just felt dirty . Renaissance tries to come across as a higher-end hotel, but it s far from it. Try the W or something else in the area and you ll be more pleased.

This is the worst ran place I have ever seen. I tried for over an hour to get a reservation. They transferred me to 8 different people and one time even transferred me to their IT dept by mistake. They were rude and seemed to not even care if they did their job. I will never recommend this place to anyone. If 0 stars were an option thats what my score would be because I never even got to spend the night !!!

No free WiFi that I could find. Didn't see a free breakfast option on the menu or brochures. Woke up at 6am to banging beneath my room; I was on the lowest guest room level so it had to be workers making noise. I've had better experiences at motels before.

Beautiful facility. I was there for. A few days and they have a beautiful rooftop bar great restaurant, knowledgeable staff. And a safe area. The connected restaurant has really good food.. not typical "hotel" food delicious... They also have a board if events like day parties, events, and special dining. The staff at the restaurant and at the front desk are top of the line.

Rooms were clean and quiet. The shining stars of the stay was the staff. They were very friendly, engaging, professional, and helpful. The downside was that they did not have any rooms with the kind of bed that was reserved a month previous. They are rather pricey, but still charge a lot for WiFi. Was cheaper to use my data plan. Charging paying guests for WiFi just seems "gougey" in this century.

Had my wedding at this hotel and couldn't have been more pleased with the hotel staff, Briza restaurant staff, and overall experience. The low reviews prior to mine are unfounded. As an Atlanta native, I can personally attest that his hotel is in a great neighborhood with lots of options in the surrounding area. There is absolutely alternatives to paying for valet parking, in fact there is a lot directly across the street from the hotel. The area the hotel is in is in one of Atlanta's most vibrant neighborhoods, Midtown. You can walk to the city train (MARTA) from the hotel entrance which is great if flying in to ATL and want to ditch the car. There are restaurants a few blocks away on Peachtree Street, and some quaint hidden gems located amongst the multiple cross streets in the surrounding area, and a movie theater at Atlantic Station not too far off. All in all, this is a great modern hotel, at affordable prices, in a great part of Atlanta.

I really enjoyed my stay there. The room was clean and comfortable, the bed was so comfortable I had to look at the mattress to see the brand. Breakfast buffet was really delicious and those waffles, omelets, biscuits and gravy made want to disown my momma! Great place!

Small facility, even with all three ballrooms opened together. Interactive info screen in lobby is not intuitive. No map of hotel amenities available. Restaurant highly priced, few dishes, mediocre quality. Staff polite and as helpful as possible. Clean. Decor modern but uninspired.

One of the fanciest hotels I have ever stayed in. The lobby is gorgeous, very friendly staff, and spacious rooms with fridges. Downside is the conditioner: it smells like glue. Otherwise, beautiful place to stay, and conveniently located right next to a Publix!

Generally up to Renaissance standards, but definitely a few quirks and maintenance issues. Would stay again at a decent room rate, but maybe not until the construction next door is finished... Not entirely the hotel's fault, but the connected restaurant is a disaster. Overpriced, under-delivering, and seriously... $4.25 for a cup of mediocre coffee out of a carafe that's been sitting around for an hour?? Sleep here, don't eat here.

Ok as far as Renaissance goes. Others have stronger amenities, like concierge lounge etc. Staff was incredibly friendly and inviting throughout. Construction makes tough to navigate the area, but valet makes it easier.

The staff were extremely friendly and eager to help. The hotel is beautiful throughout. My only complaint was that there's a charge for WiFi. But the parking was free valet so it's hard to complain

I am disappointed with my experience this time (this is not the first time I stay at this hotel). My wife and I were assigned to a room with a bed completely broken (1510). The springs of the matters were completely gone and it was impossible to sleep properly on it. We both woke up with back pain this morning. I complained this morning and we were given a new room that is OK, but we were not offered even a small discount!!!
Additionally, the hotel doesn't offer many of the standard services, like room service and breakfast. Even though we understand this in the context of the COVID-19, I consider unfair that this was never mentioned when we booked the room.

Hotel is nice and the location is great. There is no lounge which is very unfortunate (and it s difficult to figure this out from the Marriott web site), and the breakfast buffet for gold/plat was very poor. The staff were friendly, including in the restaurant. Gym is good but a bit small. No pool.
