Renaissance Atlanta Hotel Downtown Review

Nice rooms, fast WiFi, extremely friendly staff. Only 'con' is fairly limited in room dining option for dinner.

This place goes over and beyond for events. I've been twice and the out of the box thinking of the Director, Sonia Hardy was superb! She was very accommodating and her staff was a collaboration of on point at all levels and pure excellence. It was more than expected and I will continue to make this place my go to for all my future events. Go Renaissance Midtown!!

Very clean room, and absolutely gorgeous decor. There is a fireplace and very comfortable seating in the lobby. First hotel I've ever seen that has Aveda products in all the bathrooms. Love it!!!

Lobby, bathrooms, elevators and hallways have all been clean and taken care of. The staff have been friendly, but gave us a fright when they couldn't locate a package delivered there for us the day before. They did eventually find it. During check in,very my friend said that they had a dj in the lobby playing interesting, but very loud music.

Renaissance Atlanta Midtown Hotel is definitely one of the better hotels I have stayed at. I traveled to Atlanta for my cousin's wedding. When I arrived at the hotel the valet made everything easy from the start. Told my family and I where we could go to check into our rooms.

When we arrived at the front desk, they said it would be a few minutes before our rooms were ready which didn't bother me much since we were early from our flight. In the mean time we pretty much walked around close proximity of the hotel to see what was around. There were nice restaurants, liquor store (much needed for a wedding), a Publix and more!

I rarely order room service, however I figured I'd treat myself this time. Room service was great. Of course it was pricey but hey what do you expect. It was good though. I had free wifi because when you jump on their rewards list that is one of the perks that come with it.

Overall I had a great time and would love to return one day.

SOOOOO PISSED! We checked in at 6:00 p.m to find out our room "wasn't ready yet and it could be 30 minutes, or more, before we could get in". Since we were on a schedule, we left our bags behind the desk with assurance that they would be waiting in our room upon our return. While we were enjoying our evening we received a text saying "we are overbooked and have moved you to a hotel down the street". After our concert, we arrived at the 'new hotel' to find out that our bags were still at the old hotel and Remaissance refused to bring them to us. My husband had to walk to retrieve our bags at 12:30 am. I hope anyone who tries to stay here will be prepared for such ill service. We were lied to and then treated as though it was our fault. NEVER STAY HERE! The only reason I rated it one star is because it wouldn't let me rate any less.

Wonderful hotel with large, modern rooms. Great location and good views. Only downside is that there's no pool.

Breakfast buffet was awesome and the rooms are everything you would expect from a Renaissance hotel.

Very nice hotel, they were out of king beds when I checked in but everything else was great. Super friendly staff.

The hotel is relatively nice and cheap. It's near Georgia Tech and is in a good location in Midtown Atlanta. Service is really nice and there's decent food options including a rooftop bar.

Convenient when meeting in downtown Atlanta, modern with s lively bar and restaurant.

There's no lounge at this Renaissance location, but I highly recommend taking the breakfast voucher instead of the points. The restaurant is great. All the hotel staff were very pleasant.

The room and service were great, but the price point was a little bit steep for the value.

DO NOT STAY HERE!! They advertise LGBTQ friendly then steal your stuff right out of your room! My $150 hip pads vanished one weekend. I asked them to check the tapes and they apparently don t do that. DO NOT STAY HERE THEY STEAL!!!!

Stayed for a weekend for a bachelor party. Amazing beginning to end experience. The food here is good. Bed was very comfy. The staff was amazing. Ony, Media, and DeAngelo went above and beyond tour make sure our Atlanta experience was nothing short of perfect. Would definitely stay here again!!!

The three stars are for the valet
They were always friendly and professional. I never had to wait more than five minutes to get my car. The staff at the front desk or table were more concerned with talking to each other and checking their phone to provide service. I called to ask about the amenities listed on the website such as stocked snacks and the girl hung up on me. I walked downstairs to get a name and she said different people answer the phone..really?. The towels were rough and stained.gross. If we hadn't prepaid I would have checked out!. Upon checkout we called down at 8:30am to ask for assistance with our bags..no one ever answered. We just carried everything down ourselves to find the staff at the desk sitting and talking..smh

My stay during the last two days was very disappointing! The apparent lack of professionalism is appalling!
Four or five front desk ladies were laughing out-load, discussing personal matters, performing a check-out transaction with no words of greetings, and couldn t bother to ask how was the guest s stay or experience! Hands out receipt without a word but keeps engaging in personal conversation as if the customer is the after thought, the last thing to worry about. I am sad to write this review for I enjoyed Marriott hotels all over the world. I stayed at the Renaissance in Marietta and it s wonderful. I think a serious look at the professionalism and guest etiquette should be revisited in this location. However, the room was clean, one star, and another for a polite valet crew!

Everyone from the front desk to the wait staff was very polite. We mentioned that we were apartment hunting and the concierge even suggested places to look.

Great service starting at the front desk and throughout the duration if my stay. The hotel was able to accommodate an early check in request and even upgraded my room upon check in. Every morning I was greeted pleasantly by the staff and received outstanding service.

Pretty standard rooms. The elevators are super slow! Staff are very friendly. Extra marriott rewards points for decling turn-down services. Close to Georgia Tech and many restaurants. 5 minutes from a MARTA station.

Very nice hotel, the staff was very helpful. The room was also very nice. Contemporary and Eclectic at the same time. Well that was my room anyway. Would stay there again if the need arises

Great place to stay!!
This hotel is beautiful. I could sleep all day in that king size bed. All the employees where very nice and professional. I asked for Khadijah and Marshall name at the front desk because, I was very impressed with how eager to help they where.
I will be back to this location in Midtown on my next visit to Atlanta.

The room isn't very impressive but comfortable enough. The location is spot on though. Lots of great for places nearby.

Very friendly staff. Aesthetically beautiful, loved the shower. Rooms were great. Clean, comfortable. Beautiful view of the Atlanta skyline. Would love to stay again.

The parking situation was very confusing. The building smelled of smoke for the night and most of the day. The sink and toilet were very loud. And, the breakfast was kind of miserable.

I would be leary. I was humuliated by The front desk clerk on the night shift Tara (blond weave) she treated me like I was a homeless person off the street, after I mistakenly deactivated my room key by putting it near my cell phone. My identification was in my room, so she had to get security to go up to retrieve my id. She gave me attitude and talked down to me. Not sure if it was because I was Gay or because I made the reservation through priceline for a very good rate. Either way. I should have never been harassed in this manner. The guest services supervisor apologized to me but her apology was not sincere.

Great spot in the midst of everything midtown. Nice rooftop hotel restaurant. My only con parking $40.00 per day not good for the limited parking in the area. The fee should be waived for guests staying in the hotel.

Too costly. No option to self park. Must valet. ....too expensive. Rooms just ok. TV is small and shows badly.

OMG! I asked to heat up my food, and they let me have a microwave for the night (for free!). & they brought me a sangria, too (for a fee). But it was great w/my dinner! Love this hotel!

Stay at Renaissance enjoyable as always. Really liked this locationnecause its within walking distance of bars restaraunts and activities.

Fantastic experience. Very professional And polite staff. The location is perfect. Very clean and great atmosphere.

Great front desk service, nice sized rooms with comfortable beds, and the shower is awesome. Only complaint I would have is with the elevators. You'll tend to wait much longer than normal so give yourself extra time. Other than that, I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The renaissance is a beautiful hotel in a wonderful location however during our stay we have had some issues with the service. When we arrived to check in at 1p they said it was a short wait for our room and they would call us. Three hours and many inquiries later we finally get into our room. Also when we have asked for certain items (toothbrush, towels, etc) we didn't receive them. I think that this might be an off weekend for the hotel and hope that this doesn't not reflect how the hotel usually runs.

This place was nice and very clean. The staff was very friendly and the location is great. But... The bathroom door was weird. It was more like a sliding partition than a door. That would be fine on a closet, on a bathroom, not so much. Let's just say you hear everything coming outta the bathroom. Otherwise I'd stay here again.

Service is always great. Bartenders are usually friendly. Drinks can be a little stronger though. I always have a great time there

$32 parking fee not advertised. $14.95 WiFi fee not advertised. Lovely view of next door construction was free. Housekeeping walked in on us twice without knocking. A third time they knocked and came in saying something about the shower. I couldn't understand them, though, because they didn't speak English. This hotel is nowhere near the caliber of other Atlanta hotels in the same price range.

Beautiful Hotel, clean and very nice knowledgeable staff. Community Smith Restaurant has great food for a good price for location.

I visited this hotel in Midtown because I wanted to have a nice glass of wine with out the crowds. This hotel has a very scenic view of the lower part of the city and I loved the garden style bar and patio. It was really relaxing sitting next to the fire pit keeping me warn. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Shockingly nice hotel for the money, and situated in easy walking distance to a ton of AWESOME restaurants and bars.

We were impressed with the amenities & housekeeping.

Sadly no microwave but that seems all too common among large hotels these days. The location was a bit far from downtown, but Lyft rides & Lime Scooters made it more than manageable.

Beautiful hotel in good location. Only draw back is lack of power outlets near the bed to charge smartphones.

Great room with nice view, good ac, and excellent blackout curtains. Lobby is under construction but not too inconvenient. Nicely located for the MARTA and restaurants.

Renaissance Atlanta Midtown has a great location in Midtown with many restaurants within walking distance. The lobby is upscale and the rooms are on par with what you would expect.

Loved it! Would've been nice to have bottled water in the room though!

Pretty modern hotel. The bell hop that helped us with our luggage was super kind, even when we had to go back and change rooms. We wanted connecting rooms and the hotel was quick to make that change for us. We lived all the amenities. But we did want to hang out at the pool! So know that ahead of time lol.
