Renewed registration. In and out in less than 20 minutes on a Friday afternoon.
The worst place to go for a driving road test. was asked to do my road sign. I did it, only for the examiner to tell me that I did not do it right, only for him to do the same thing that he had fail me for.

So idk the lady in the yellow lane with a yellow shirt and was African American was just nasty, no eye contact, rushing, tone was just aggressive to the point where She couldn t comprehend what I was saying and yeah just wasn t feeling it ..
But the guy who Assisted me thoooooo , and registered for my new I.D Was really like uplifting and like made me feel comfortable and like took my mind off that, I was shy to take my new picture because I felt like I looked really like Uggg ! But he mad me feel good and calmed me down and was super friendly ! Like a soulful someone ! Thanks for that .. never caught your name ! But Thanks Love

This place is super efficient has a line for ready to go and a line for customer service I was in-and-out for license renewal not even 10 minutes
Had to renew my license for my 64th birthday I went to the registry on Saint James Avenue greeted by a very courteous and polite woman who directed me and gave me a number and told me to sit down within 5 minutes my number was called I went to desk 15 and was greeted by Bernadine very courteous and professional ask me some questions filled out some documents everything went very smooth I was very happy with my experience at the registry of motor vehicles in Springfield again thank you Bernardin for making my license renewal so fast easy and smooth

Worst place ever! Worst than waiting at star bucks! So unorganized (bad establishment)
The staff and officers at the front door were kind and tried to be helpful, but the staff behind the desk/glass were horrifically rude. I am still in shock over how nasty they are. She was even rude to the officer who was trying to help me. I had to drive almost 2hrs to get there because there were no other appointments available. She wouldn't even explain what was wrong with my paperwork. She just insisted that the dealer "should just know" what was wrong. -But he doesn't! All of his staff that normally handle paperwork are at home because of COVID/distancing and he's doing the best he can just like the rest of us. I lucked out and got another appointment for Friday. Wish me luck.

I am WAITING on the phone for customer service. It is now 11:47am and my time clock on the phone says I've been on this active call for 147 minutes. Almost 2.5 hours without someone picking up. This is ludicrous!
Worst experience of my life. I have been to the DMV 4 times to complete a state to state registration change. FOUR times and each time got a different answer regarding what is required to complete the task...it is completely futile to even bother getting it done at this point. I will just risk getting a ticket or fine for attempting to follow the rules. Whomever runs this agency needs to terminated IMMEDIATELY
Customer service here is EXCELLENT!!!! Waiting time is very minimal as you are directed exactly where you need to go upon entrance. Employees here are so welcoming!!!
I went for a license renewal with all my paperwork ready for the REAL ID. Bernadine was extremely kind and polite. My pre-filled application had expired so she gave a form to fill out and after she helped the next customer she assisted me again and was able to process my application seamlessly. I appreciate her patience with me and her demeanor was very pleasant. I have heard horror stories about the RMV and she alleviated all my stress and anxiety about the RMV immediately with her tone of voice and kindness.
Confirm all the reports of other users of the RMV in Springfield: appalled by the rudeness and total carelessness in their job on part of the employees. It is really mind boggling that one can be treated in this way .... and that nobody does anything about this. A government office that deals with citizens is expected to work differently, time to make changes ! (and what I mean is: incompetent and unqualified employees should be fired - it is really hard to see any other solution working - a big change in office culture brought in by new people)

We were very pleasantly surprised with the efficiency and friendliness of everyone we encountered at this facility! From the police officers who met us at the door to the person assisting us at the counter, all were courteous and helpful. My daughter and I arrived a half hour before our appointment but were ushered in right away and waited less than 10 minutes for our turn at the counter. Due to a small issue with a passport we were unable to complete our application for a learner's permit, but the person helping us apologized and told us what we needed to do to remedy the situation online without having to come back. Overall this facility is a model of public service!
My girlfriend went to this RMV twice and the lady was so rude to her both times giving my girlfriend a hard time the lady did something to my girlfriend account and tell me why my girlfriend study really hard for her to take her test online and she fail the question was so easy we believe that the lady had something to do with it because she was doing something to my girlfriend account that lady don t need to be working at no RMV she has no customer service Skills or she just don t like Latino or she is homophobic
The just sent a suspension for my husband who has never even left the state of florida. But we cant get through to anyone and he is a cdl driver down here. They are going to devastate our household income if they dont fix this.
I have no complaints just make sure that you fill out the application online before you go, or when you get there ask for an application right away so you can stand in line and fill it out.they are very fast in what they're doing because there are 18 people doing it. Thank you
absolute WORST place to take a driving test. I went all the way there from the south shore (2+ hour drive) The woman taking the applications was rude. She pointed out a spot on the application that I missed (i honestly thought the examiner would fill in that section when he did the inspection on the car), so I filled it in and when I went up to give her the application the door in our face. It literally took me 2 minutes to do. They wouldn't let us do the test and put it in the system as a "no show" There were 6 people there that day to take the test but only 2 actually took it. Tried to file a complaint with the RMV but that was useless too because the never responded.
I went to apply for the real ID yesterday, as i chose to get the real ID now instead of renewing my license that was set to expire in may. I prefilled the application online and came with the required documents ready. The lady at the door was very pleasant. She greeted me, checked my printed application, and gave me a number. Before i could get to sit down, my number was called. I went up to the window and was greeted with a smile by the lady that helped me. I was in and out in 5min. Excellent customer relations all around. FYI: marriage certificate is needed(for those married), when applying for a real ID. All needed Documents must be Original Copies.

Theresa made my experience at the registry a very negative one! The registry was very busy and I went in to pay a fine. I waited 45 minutes and when I made it to the counter I found out they did not take credit or debit cards. Theresa was very rude when she saw the debit card in my hand saying we can't take that and didn't you notice all the sign posted? I said I had to go to the ATM to get cash. Theresa said she was leaving and then stated in a rude manner that I would have to get another ticket when I got back and wait again!. In my opinion, when there are so many people in line all staff should stay until all customers have been helped! Theresa did not have to treat me with such disrespect! She was in a rush to leave and did not care about all the customers waiting! I was back in 5 minutes and she was already gone. When I went back to the customer service window he did not make me get another tickets and had another worker take care of me right away. If the registry had all employees like the gentlemen at customer service people would have a more positive experience at the registry! In my line of work and in most professions being rude or disrespectful would not be tolerated! Why is it acceptable behavior at the Registry of Motor Vehicles??

Manager and other staff are not fully aware of policies and procedures and are quick to tell the customer s/he needs additional documentation, even when this is not the case, as opposed to taking the time to finding out the proper next steps. This was an unnecessary time waster.
I needed to transfer my NY registration and get a MA driver's license when I moved to Springfield in June. After reading the reviews here, I absolutely dreaded going but the experience turned out to be surprisingly pleasant.
It took two visits because I was missing some documents the first time, but I was informed of that problem by the very helpful young man who screens everyone as soon as they walk in the door. He impressed me as someone who maintains a state of total equanimity and politeness while dealing with all kinds of people with all kinds of problems all day long. He advised me that the best times to return were the middle of the week during the middle of the month.
When I came back the 8th of August, he was still standing there with his Buddha-like composure and directed me to one of two lines, which moved fairly quickly, for processing my paperwork. When I got to the front, I was told that I needed to complete some information but could return to the head of the line after doing so. Both women I dealt with at that station were exceedingly friendly and helpful, as was the clerk who took my photo and gave me new plates after only a short wait.
All in all, it was a very positive experience -- far superior to the confusing forms and instructions that I found on the RMV's website, or having to deal with corporate customer service reps on the phone.
Very friendly, greeted at the head of the line so I knew where to go, everyone was really nice and pleasant. Not what I expected, it was shocking how good the experience was! Keep this up and you ll ruin my expectation of government offices
Waited 3 hours on hold To speak to someone. Was told I had to go into the registry to take care of the problem that the registry caused in the first place. The rub....you have to make an appointment...no appointment available until August 11. So because the registry screwed up, my car is not legal to drive and I can't fix their mistake so they expect me to be without a car until its convenient for them. Thanks for nothing!!!!!
