Fantastic! Great hiking and camping! Plenty to check out and great places to stay!
Elk, birds, Meadows, forests, lagoons, and beaches. Just show up!
I had no idea trees could be this big. The experience to stand next to these giants was amazing.
The beauty and freshness after a good rain really added to our enjoyment of experiencing mother nature at her best! We are talking big, huge, unbelievably tall!
I loved staying here i wish i could go back I LOVE THE REDWOODS SO GO IF YOU EVER GET THE CHANCE
Absolutely incredible! Some of them get to over 350 ft tall. There is no admission fee. Get ready for a stiff neck, since you ll spend most of your time looking up! One of the trees has an opening that you can drive your car through. That was pretty cool. We were in a Chevy Spark which made it through no prob, but we saw a truck that had to back out again because his mirrors were going to hit. I have heard that some of the trees are over 500 yrs old. This is a must see if you re in the area. The store was cute with lots of souvenirs and some basic snack food.
I felt like we were in a Sunset Magazine spread. We "camped" in the cabins and cooked over the open fire every night. The easy to moderate trails are enough to fill your eyeballs for awhile. Amazingly beautiful flora in a serene and living forest. May the forest be with you.
This is an awesome place to take your family. Make sure to visit Avenue of the giants. Cathedral trees trail and prairie creek were also amazing.
Make sure to get a reservation and be ready to hike
Beautiful road for driving. Must visit place for riders. So many stop points. So many trails. So much to explore.
This is a national park that doesn't get the same crowd as Yosemite. The national park is actually consists of the national park itself along with a few state parks. There are several pull outs. There are several trails that have very little change in elevation.
So amazing, thought I was in star wars walking on the moon of Endor through those trees and ferns. Something mutes the sound so it has a deep silence when cars are driving by. Must experience this place to understand
I've never seen the Redwood forest, trees. They are breath taking. If you get a chance to go even once in your life take the opportunity. It's worth it.
No Brainer for anyone who likes huge trees and national parks
Great place to visit! Family friendly too. Plenty of trails and hiking. About a half a day activity
Loving this place is kind of compulsory; at the very least it's not really optional.
Unbelievable! Definite must! #leaveitasyoufoundit #respectnature
Did a full day hiking over the loop. I preferred valley with stream and shade, than hill part a lot of which was exposed to the strong sun.
Those giant Redwood trees make you realize how small we human are. I love Stout Grove, when you walk on that easy trial, you really enjoy the peace feeling around. Elk sighting is a bonus at the Elk Meadow. Don't miss the 'Avenue of Giant' drive at the Hombolt state park.
Go.
Pay your respects to the ancient giants on the coastal road.
Spectacular scenery and interesting things to learn about Redwood trees. A must vist.
Should be mandatory viewing to ensure we all respect nature.
A must see for everyone who lives in the United States.
There's never enough time or battery to capture this place. Come and stay a while.
Just saw the redwoods for the first time and it was surreal. Definitely go down the "Avenue of Giants".
I love driving on all of the west coast of the USA, it is one of my thrills. From California to Washington state the drive and the scenic views are truly beautiful. Take the time and drive the coastline you will be amazed with the beauty and splendor.
Opening of E.T was shot here! Trees are amazing, must see!
So beautiful and peaceful. Surrounded by the amazing wonders and humbled by the grand structure of endless droves of tree and wild flowers. An absolute must see
Amazing breathtaking hikes to view some of the biggest redwoods
Been visiting this area for years when I visit my son in Eureka and the natural beauty never gets old for me. A special, special place on this planet. It has become a spiritual trip for me - between the forest and the shore. Lots of Roosevelt Elk - respect their distance and space - took these with a high powered lens. A place everyone should see.
Nice place, well maintained. Saw a bear near the WW2 radio center memorial walking on the unpaved road, probably more in the area.
Experience what you cant see anywhere else in the world! amazing forests. great hiking.
Great place to get an up close view of the redwoods without long, exhausting hikes. Took my grandma and my young cousin here and they both loved it.
I ve always wanted to go to the Redwood forest and we finally went! The splendor of the forest is inspiring! We walked amongst these mighty giants for hours and were captivated by size and beauty!
The place is full of greenary and trees. Its so amazing to see such a tall trees from close. You will definetle get that peace of mind while walking on thoes trails . You can hear the nature there. We did 2 trails in redwood. Fern canyounis half drive through and half walking trail. And its very amazing. Everyone should definetly go to fern canyon .
Great short hikes but be aware that prior to main season the road may not have been graded yet so you may encounter a long bumpy ride on dirt & gravel & small stream crossing. If you are pulling any kind of trailer leave it behind - a sign posted before entering gravel road states they are not allowed & the 2 new hiking books we had don't mention either the rough road or trailer restriction. Be aware this is based on our pre season wet & rough road condition. Regardless the Fern & Redwood hikes are well worth it!
An absolute must-visit for anyone and everyone. The parks are divided between the north location and the south location. Recommend the north location if you are there in the cold season. The south location has lots of elk, but they along with the bears were not out. No need to take a lot of money, just take yourself (or selves), some food and water, and remember to keep nature clean and beautiful!
Absolutely gorgeous. The giant Redwoods are truly a sight to behold in person.
An expansive area of breathtakingly large trees. Plenty of hikes. Check out the Newton B Drury scenic byway.
Can I give this an extra star? Gorgeous park. Makes you feel quite insignificant and small compared to the rest of the universe. Perfect for deflating ones ego.
Redwood National Park, located on the Pacific coast of northwestern California in the United States, is under the jurisdiction of the National Park Service. In 1980, UNESCO listed the Redwood National Park as a natural heritage on the World Heritage List. Very beautiful place for tourist.
