This is a must see for anyone who drives through here. This place is one of the many wonders on earth. A rich deep forest, with a long history. A place of peace and calmness that makes you realize just how beautiful nature can be.

A completely unreal, magical place. The Drury scenic drive in Prairie Creek is the more accessible, abridged version of Avenue of the Giants. Got your doggo on said detour? No problem, take them up the Cal Barrel road. This is a perfect introduction to RNSP. Pro tip: do some neck stretches beforehand, you'll be looking up a lot. *Respect the land*

Peaceful and serene walks around the beautiful trees. Been there many times and always feels the same. A must visit for all but please take care of the surroundings. Leave your foodprints not your rubbish.

Five stars if you're a tree hugger who appreciates the beauty that only Mother Nature could provide.

Stunning coastal vistas with the fragrant scent of earth and damp moss all around you. Bring a jacket and be sure to spend a night in Mendocino.

The trick is to arrive here early enough to get walk-in permits for back country camping.
The Rangers at the Park's main station were fantastic. They warned us about the risk of break-ins at the parking lot of our first hike and allowed us to leave one of our vehicles in their more protected parking lot at the ranger station. The ranger was simply thoughtful and generous. Loved it. The Park Service proves my loosely held prejudices about government agencies wrong again and again.

The park is gorgeous. The giant trees are otherworldly. And the privilege to sleep among them ... n'uff said.

The sequoias that occupy this park are among the tallest in the world, over 100 m high. and they can live from 600 to 2000 years.
One of the most impressive things is to see these giants grouped very close to each other.
Visited in August 2008.

My favorite place in the world These giant wonders are so incredible! Highly recommend the old scenic byway next to the Prairie Visitor Center! The Cathedral trail is epic. Don't forget the coastline as well in this national park! Tide pools, sea lions, maybe even whale spotting?!!

Beautiful trees that you don't appreciate until you see them in person. Ran into 3 or 4 massive male elk on the trail that forced me to trace my way back down the trail. Disappointed that I didn't get to do the longer trail head completely, but was a fantastic day passing through.

Silent somber majestic grooves of monster trees. In awe of these things. We are all amazed at the power of the silence in these parks and on the hikes. Wish i lived here. Such a zen invoking experience.

Those redwoods, man. They're breathtaking. Awe-inspiring. I freaking love trees and almost cried when I saw how magnificent and majestic and HUGE these bad boys are. I brought my camera but it started raining AS SOON AS WE GOT THERE. Oh well, we just have to go back so I can get some good shots!!
