Unbelievably beautiful! We went into Stout Grove and had the best afternoon. Don't forget your mosquito spray! That is the only negative to The Grove is the mosquitoes. Also the road to take into Stout Grove is one mile a very narrow dirt road. There are huge potholes and it can be a little sketchy. Just take it slow. I took it on my street motorcycle and I did fine.

A new place top explore around every curve. You can go from beach to forest by literally crossing the road in shots. The trees are truly breath taking. Lived it so much I wish I could live here!!!

One of the most amazing places on earth! In the "old" growth parts of the forest, some of the trees are 3000 years old! It boggles the mind! You risk getting a crick in you neck looking up to the extraordinary heights these trees attain!
Walking on some of the trails just brings so much tranquility and peace being surrounded by so much natural beauty!
This should be on everyone's "bucket" list!

Wayfinding (signage) at the park is poor. Having visited many national parks, I was expecting better byway signage, trailhead markets, kiosks with maps, etc., but this park lacked much of this. With poor cell service through the area, it made for a confusing experience.

A visit to any Redwood State or National Park, is at the very least inspirational and for some life changing! When I feel down or angry I head for a Redwood Grove (lucky for me I live in the Redwoods) whatever was bothering me when I walked in, is gone when I walk out! Just being in their presence is so relaxing, like being among the Gods!!

Awesome scenic drives! We did some backpack camping and hiked three miles in to find a secluded campsite that was perfect for a relaxing and awesome night in the woods, even heard some Elk before falling asleep!

I've wanted to see giant redwood trees for a long time. It started when I was a kid, I saw this book at a library, it had full page size photos. There were beautiful, majestic, and giant redwood trees, hundreds of years old. This place has to be a small paradise, abound with spiritual energies from all the past generations it has witnessed. Enough of that, it's on my bucket list. I've been to many national parks and such, but I can't explain why I feel so drawn to the great redwood forest?

This is a must see it to believe it. The Redwoods are huge and amazing to see. Can't wait to get back here again to check out stuff we missed this trip. One of our favorite places that we have been to. Camping under the Redwoods is the coolest thing ever. You feel so small compared to them.

I had no idea how huge and immense the park is. Amazing trees that you can only imagine until you see them up close. One of my favorite parks with anything you can possibly do. Never gets old when in the area for sure. So close to the coastline, some of the views are amazing.

The campground was great but you have to make reservations 48hrs in advance making it difficult to come pitch a tent for the night. Not recommended if you just want to show up and camp day of. Scenery was beautiful, hiking was great, campground reservation system sucks.

We had a wonderful time in this National Park! We did the 4.6 mile hike "James Irvine Trail" from Prairie Creek National Park to Fern Canyon and it was freakin magical. I'll admit that at mile 3.6 I just wanted to be there since I'm out of shape, but very glad I completed it. We had people meet us in cars at Fern Canyon and really glad we did because the hike back would have not been fun for me as it's harder going from Fern Canyon to Prairie Creek National Park. The Lady Bird Johnson Trail is pretty nice as well and easy for out of shape people like me. I have also camped at the Prairie Creek campground and love it there. Lots of great memories when the kids were young.

Loved it there. The attraction is all in what God made, so ignore the official California presence and just gaze at and photograph the trees.
The elk either stay hidden or lounge around where the food is; mostly the tall grass. But sometimes they can be seen right up close to human dwellings lounging under trees if it's hot out.

My wife and I went on our first vacation in many years after she developed an autoimmune disease. We weren't able to do much for about 5 years. We drove up the coast from Mendocino to the Redwood National Forest and had the time of our lives. It was so amazing to see how enormous the trees were!

Absolutely beautiful. By far one of the most breathtaking hikes I've been on. The trails are mostly kept up and there is very little if any garbage around. Obviously, some of the trails will have less maintenance as they're quite ling so be wary of the specific trail that you're planning on visiting. Overall amazing hiking experiences wherever you go!
