Unique, tasty and generous half rack of ribs, plus a reasonable value for the portions and fixings.
The restaurant itself is akin to a museum, with rare, reclaimed and storied artifacts from history throughout the restaurant, including a two-of-a-kind steamroller, furniture and lamps from a San Francisco hotel which survived a historic earthquake, and impressively stantioned over the bar a French-made steam engine.
The person who waited our table was very personable and impressively knowledgeable about the artifacts throughout the restaurant's interior.
We ate indoors due to the windy day, however the patio dining looked posh as well.

Been here three times so far. Very good grub and friendly service. With two-ton wagons hanging over head, the decor is dramatic and entertaining. Every meal has been consistently tasty and flavorful. Recommend this any day of the week, lunch or dinner.

The food is good and they make sure if something went wrong they fix it! I had a door dash order missing things and they sent us what was missing! Things happen and I appreciated the accountability and fixing it! It s with a lot in my book!

BBQ and Beer so great I am coming back as soon as I can. I was in Carson City NV and stopped by for some lunch. Saw the BBW smoke stack and immediately pulled in. Went in and it had that Western vibe going on with old carriages, steam engines, and old west items everywhere. Best BBQ and waiter was fantastic, on time with my beer each time.

Had the Mother's day special. It was expensive, no salad & my food was not hot. Luke warm!
They called salad shrimp scampi

Great meat! Ribs, chicken, steaks, cornbread, coleslaw, and baked beans. They also have a few vegetarian choices and every kind of beer. Creative, antique, miner 49er era decor. Come casual, it can be noisy, fun and relaxing! They have a busy bar. I reserved & fed 50 family & friends for our graduation in the banquet room. Best time ever!

You could literally wring the grease our of the "brisket" sandwich (more like pulled brisket. ... never seen anything like it.... not a sliced.... shredded and BBQ sauced ... Def not smoked)..

Great food, great drinks and great atmosphere - loved all the items hanging on the walls and from the ceilings - we happened to visit on a Saturday night and there was a magician visiting tables doing card tricks - very entertaining . . . Definitely recommend the smoked prime rib (a Saturday night dinner special) and rib eye with the rib rub and teriyaki butter! . . . And if you like beer, 101 to choose from!

Great food, pleasant atmosphere, great service. I ordered the Lobster Raviolis and my daughter ordered the Grilled Cheese. My friends ordered the mussels. It was all awesome. I recommend to all of my friends.

Service was slow took 40 minutes to get two meals one arrived overcooked , took waitress 10 minutes to check on meals and satisfaction of food, ended up comping bad meal. When we ordered beverages prior to meal, soda arrived half full little ice, beer arrived in wrong container, we sent it back took 4 minutes to get what was ordered

Nice decor all the farming stuff reminded me of my grandpa. I enjoyed it. The bbq pizza was good but there were way too many crispy onions. I would go back. Be prepared for qr code menu. It's not difficult.

The building itself is worth a visit. It was one of the first to be built in Carson City and is full of interesting things. The timbers used to build it are huge. There's even an outside door that was salvaged from bank vault.
Inside the decor is rustic and genuine. There are antiques from the Comstock era including some horse drawn carriages and sleds. If you're a history nerd or just in the mood for good food this is a good place for both.
As for the food, it stands up well against other BBQ places locally. The staff was attentive and friendly. Prices are reasonable. Everyone in our group (15 of us) left with to go boxes.
If you're in Carson check it out for yourself

Great food and variety. Fun place with lots of decor and friendly fast staff. Many beers on tap and a mug club for the locals. I love the ribs. Specials every weekday. Shaded outdoor seating with a roaring fire and fountain. My favorite place in Carson City.

This was a great choice for dinner while visiting the Carson Valley. There is so many great things to look at. The food was great. My Ribeye was so tender, loved the gorgonzla butter and the steak fries. We will be back.

Great food, great decor. I went here with some family who live in the area. It is a bit expensive, and we had a birthday for my grandparents but they did not bring out a complementary food item. Only four stars for that. You have to wear a mask in here currently and thankfully it's in Nevada so you can at least eat inside.

As always, the service, food, and atmosphere is out of this world. Our waiter, Alfredo, was so conciensious, patient and kind. He was running all over, but still made it know that he was there to serve us. Highly recommended!!!
