Check-In was ok. Room was ok, I like the soap and shampoo since its not just a cheap looking set. Shower knob is very moldy, and barely works to a laughable degree. The restaurant is a joke. Left waiting at the waiting area from 12:00 to 12:25 with nobody showing. Walked around because i was bored left then came back and saw someone who sat us at around 12:35. Sat until 12:48 before being asked our order or water. Silverware has alot of watermarks and plates are filthy. Will update if experience gets any better...

Staff is very friendly, helpful, and professional. I wish they served tea in the rooms and at breakfast but you can order it. They could also set out salsa and gravy with buffet but again you can order it.

The staff was wonderful although not easily reachable. The vending machines (ice cream, red bull) by the lobby are absolutely disgusting in the drop tray so I don't recommend using them. The only complaint we have is that the person in the room above us sounded like a heavy footed Sumo tap dancing to speed metal. But the room was neat and clean with comfy beds and TravelCat was welcome! RedLion will get my return service for not being dog bias.

The Red Lion River Inn is one of the most convenient locations to stay if you're spending time at Gonzaga University. The Red Lion offers a hot breakfast, clean rooms, and has two heated pools. The rooms are clean, furnished with Kuerig-type machines, and feature all-natural bath products and lotions. The wifi is free, has good coverage, and works fast. Parking is free as well. Overall, a great stay and adjacent to campus for easy access.

Overall not a bad hotel, but overpriced for what it was and the service we received. We found mold on one of the towels, and when we contacted the front desk, the man on the phone was rude and seemed inconvenienced by our complaint. We finally received our replacement towels about 2 hours later. The AC didn't work and the deadbolt on the door was broken, both of which were fine, but frustrating.

Room was clean and equipped with all items needed. They were amazing with all the changes due to cancelled flights and delays. The pools were perfect temperature. And breakfast every morning was yummy.

Our three mountain bikes were stolen last night in the hotel parking lot. No security cameras, no patrols. Another car also had three bikes stolen. Very disappointed. We are on our way to Puget Sound for a family reunion. No bike riding now.

The staff are friendly. The lobby and restaurant are up to date and clean.the patio outside the restaurant is nice and even has a few plants like tomatoes mixed in with the flowers.
The hallways are worn and the rooms kind of musty (middle of a heat wave). Bathroom was clean and seemed to have plenty of hot water.
The area is mostly hotels and a few fast food joints but close proximity to the river walk and Gonzaga University. We felt safe walking in the mostly deserted evening.
Our reservation included breakfast with hot food items. It was very satisfactory.
My 3 stars are based on room being musty but you don't really notice except when you come in from outside.

The rooms are nice, but it is a dangerous location. After been reassured by both the girls at the front desk and a security guard that out bikes would be safe on the bike rack in the parking we woke up to find that our bikes had been stolen. When I talked to the manager about this he denied that anyone on the staff would ever say anything like that.

After I booked my room through Priceline, I noticed three additional charges through the hotel. I called right away, and two of the three are deposits that should not clear, and the other was an accidental charge. Although they are taking care of this for me, it's frustrating to have to wait a few days for it to come off my account, especially with rent due. As for the hotel itself, I thought all the staff were very friendly, and the room was clean and comfortable.

Good location. Booked on Hotwire so I got a great deal. The staff was friendly. The hotel itself is a bit dated, but still comfortable overall. No elevator in the main building so if you have a heavy bag that could be difficult. My bed was comfortable and the room was clean, however I could not get cold water out of the faucet. It started out cold but then became scalding hot. Other than that my stay was comfortable.

One of the best oudoor breakfast spaces I've ever been to. Bikes are free to borrow, Ganzaga campus is walking distance. 2 pools, outdoor fireplace, volleyball, basketball, walking/bike paths along the river.

They frequently have groups, (kids sports teams) that you want to be a few doors away from.

The hotel was pretty average, two floors and the avergae room has the bare minimum required. Much of the walls and furniture is very dated, but not dusty or unclean. It is a good place to stay at for a quick social event, but don't expect it to be very luxurious.

We rolled in at 10:30 and got the last room available. Parking was crowded but we still found a spot, luckily close to the room. Pricing for a last minute room downtown was pretty reasonable given some of the options in the surrounding area. The room was a single king and very quiet. We only stayed the one night. The shower had more pressure than I'm used to in hotels, which was great. The shower head was also nicer than my normal accommodations. The breakfast grille looked well priced but we decided to hit the road early and left instead of sitting down to eat. The staff were all friendly when we ran across any. I would stay again.

I have been to the Restaurant that belongs to the Hotel. Its called Ripples. The ambience was really good. We had a team dinner in the patio. This being a riverside restaurant gave us a beautiful view of the surroundings. The food was great and in time.

I am reading these reviews and it saddens me that not much has changed since I worked at the River Inn as a housekeeper. I truly believe the rooms, bathrooms and hallways would be a lot cleaner, if the housekeepers were treated better. I worked there for a little under a year. During this time, I had witnessed a lot of mistreatment towards the housekeepers, including myself. First of all, a male employee who barely spoke English by the name of Marbati (sp?) sexually assaulted me in one of the second floor rooms. I immediately went downstairs to notify my housekeeping manager. Her English was also hard to understand. After I sobbed and told her what happened, and begged to go home, she told me, "He is not from this country. He does not know better. You cannot leave, you must finish your shift. I will tell Marbati to work on a different floor than you." I was confused at her reaction. I stated everything he had done, and she continued to wave her hand in a "shooing" motion, saying, "just ignore him. Just forget about it. He doesn't know any better. He will not bother you again. Please go finish cleaning your rooms." This outraged me. I immediately grabbed my belongings and walked all the way to the court house and filed a report. My mother called the River Inn in an outrage. I was asked to come in the next morning and speak with the Hotel Manager. He was very kind and didn't want me to have to quit. They did fire Marbati, but I suspect so because they didn't want a lawsuit on their hands. I filed a report against Marbati, and got a restraining order.

Anyway. I continued to work there, despite the many rude comments and angry looks I received from angry employees who befriended Marbati.

There was a very rude and disgusting woman named Jessica who yelled at me every single day, even though I worked myself into a blistering sweat. I once came to work with a black eye I got from wrestling with my nephews. I walked by the laundry room and heard Jessica say: "I f**king hate that little b**ch. I'll blacken her other eye." It was awful and the worst working environment I've ever seen.

It has been about 4 years I have since moved on, and have a career now, but my dreadful experience working for this hotel will always be in my memory. I feel sorry for the housekeepers and laundry attendants.

A very functional hotel in a good location. The whole place seemed a bit dated, and smells a little musty, especially in the hallways. That said our room was very nice, and the beds were very comfortable. All of the staff that we dealt with was very friendly, overall a good value, and I would stay here again.
