Wasn't treated very well because I was a local which is ridiculous he night staff was not friendly at all or willing to help very much either. My holiday was noisy all night long nothing was said about it didn't get much sleep. You think for that price you wouldn't have to pay for breakfast. Just because someone's a local resident doesn't mean that they don't deserve to get away from their house. And be treated the way my friend and I were treated it's ridiculous. I won't recommend a friend or anyone at that to this hotel. Unless I get some better staff that doesn't treat you badly because your a local.

Good stay. Nice view by the river. There's a tennis court and a pool, but no jacuzzi I could find, unfortunately. The river walk is quite beautiful. I was fortunate enough to be there during decent weather to enjoy it, despite the vague effect of smoke from nearby fires. Good value stay for the location, and Spokane has some good food downtown, just walking distance from the inn. Good service, though minimal experience with the staff except when they moved our room once since someone must have smoked in the nonsmoking room. They were very nice about it, and were easily accomodating. Nice rooms.

I have been staying here off and on for the last couple months usually 4-5 days a week and it has been good...... That being said.... this morning I did my normal routine and if I get in early in the am I check in plus I pay for a partial day for showing early. Well this morning their night person at the counter was rude. He didn't want to check me in early and I accepted that. I asked if I could pay for a partial day and he said I would have to wait for the morning crew at 7am. I inquired if there is a problem with me paying for a partial room so I can unpack and get a little rest and he was rude as hell. Well SON if you can't rent open rooms your costing the company . That's right if you don't understand how to book a room then find another department.....you should be cleaning them at least then your not costing the company money.

Guess I will be taking my money across the bridge.

Signed,
Thouroughly disappointed

From arriving early and the staff getting me immediately into a room, while traveling alone with my infant daughter and dog, to filling up my coffee to go & EVERYTHING in between, by far the best service I've ever had at a "budget" hotel. Or any other hotel for that matter. From the friendly note from housekeeping, to the direction to the stroller friendly path to the walkway along the river, the staff went above and beyond every minute of our short 9 hour stay here.

Stayed here last night. They were having some some event and ordered pizza hut. I sat in the lobby and watched as 2 pizza hut employees loaded at least 20 pizzas to your front desk then walk out without being tipped. Unsure I approached them and asked if they were tipped. They said no so I gave them both $5. You should be ashamed that your guests have more humanity than your employees.

Excellent atmosphere, one of the best places I've worked for in a long time, everyones friendly and everyone does their best to make guests feel as welcome as possible, myself included. A home away from home. Plus the chef and kitchen crew provide amazing food like this, what's not to love?

DO NOT STAY HERE! They do not clean their rooms. First, we did not get our room cleaned after the first night we stayed here. Second, we found PUBIC hair and dirt in our ice bucket. Third, on the third night we found at least FIFTY pieces of hair on our sheets- pubic and regular hair. It appears the floors have not been vacuumed in months. There is only one piece of thin sheet as a mattress protector, which was full of hair and stains. I am thoroughly DISGUSTED with our stay given the fact that LICE and CRABS could have been on this hair. NEVER EVER will I stay at a Red Lion. This is absurd. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!

Total nightmare experience. I literally had to change rooms 3 times, before giving up with the realization it was probably just going to get worse. The walls are super thin..the first room, someone's dog was having an ongoing, never ending barking fit, so I asked to be moved. It was soo loud.. The second room had no hot water. None...nada, and they were aware of it, and gave me the room anyway. The third room, the thermostat didn't work, was across from a stairway, and the room had feather pillows, which I am highly allergic to. I had notified the hotel prior to my arrival that I was allergic and was told that none of their bedding contained feathers. When I asked for replacement pillows, they offered me decorative pillows and informed me that they didn't really have any pillows that didn't have feathers. Are you kidding me?! Don't stay here. This place is a total dump. I mean, how hard is it to supply a guest with a quiet, clean, and healthy functioning room? Really? NEVER AGAIN RED LION.

This is an old building needing some updating. Our room was dirty: hair in the bathroom, dirt in the tub, floors needed vacuumed, the list could go on. Front office staff very friendly and professional, we checked right back out.

The rooms are excellent and clean. There was complimentary internet (albeit basic 2mbps) and breakfast and dinner was available. The view of the river was extremely nice and overall high quality! Very convenient to the main roads in Spokane and it's quick to get almost anywhere.

Quality of room varies depending on the wing, as there were some that had very good AC/heat with a panel on the wall to control, and others didn't work very well and the controls were on the machine itself.

Very cozy.

The room is roomy but feels a bit outdated. When we checked in the room, the toilet was left with dirty hair and tissue papers in the toilet bowl. The bath tube was stained and it just felt unsanitary. Fairfield Inn across the street has cleaner room and there's coffee, tea and water in the lobby 24 x 7 which is very nice.

The staff were nice, but the food was sub par. Halibut was overcooked, sauce in the fettuccine Alfredo was tasteless. Cheesy bread was tasteless. Basic food seems fine, like sandwiches, french fries, and salad, but when it comes to cooked meals, not so great.

There was plenty of parking close to our room. Got two queens and had plenty of extra room. Would have nice to had a heater that shut off once it reached a certain temp, otherwise it was a cozy and affordable price.

Beds are comfy and you can't beat the close proximity to Gonzaga. Only good things I can say. Walls are paper-thin, breakfast was mediocre, free bike rentals, but no bike locks, tub/shower didn't drain.

Check-in was smooth. We were upgrade to a king at no additional charge. Room was clean. Grounds are great! It was a very easy walk to down town and to River Front Park from the trail off the hotel. Would definitely stay here again.

Comfy beds, plenty of towels, working a/c. Relatively clean room but the housekeeping staff could use a refresher on all the things that should be done...there was soap scum on the soap holder in the shower that hadn't been cleaned, obvious lack of dusting in open areas. The location of the hotel is good and near plenty of things within walking distance. They also have a complementary shuttle that will take you within a 2 mile radius. Friendly front desk staff as well.

Was very disappointed with the lack of housekeeping.

Arrived to a coffee pot half filled with water & a small bug floating in it.

When we returned the next day after housekeeping had come the only thing that had been done was the beds were made, fresh towels in the bathroom & 2 new paper cups in the coffee bar.

The tea/coffee had not been replenished, the counter had not been cleaned (found this out when I wiped down some water & the white washcloth was a dingy grey/black) and the hand towel we used to deal with the coffee pot was still left on the credenza

Troughout the stay the tub would not drain during a shower & when we had maintenance come take care of it were told it was because there was too much hair in the drain.

While the front desk staff was great, it just wasn't enough to make up for the poor room conditions.
