Everything was fantastic except for a couple stray hairs that somehow made it into my room on my second night there.
Worse place ever.....we were assigned a room that seemed as though people had gotten busy on the bed and around the room! The front desk staff was rude and it wasn't until we called from the room and described how the room was found that they changed their attitude and they switched our room. There were fleas in the rooms or perhaps dustmites. I don't recommend this place! Spend the little bit of money extra and stay in one of the many newer sorounding hotels!!
Nice location on the Spokane river next to a running trail.
Very accommodating, spacious rooms, beautiful view.
The floors in the room made my sons feet black the ac was not working very well and the fridge was not very good had to throw alot of food away and are sheets in are room had something like blood or something on them never staying here again and for the price should have been alot nicer
The walls are sooo thin. We can hear everything in the hall and outside. We re also right beside the staircase.
Room was clean and overall great for the price. Main downsides included a very noisy heater and fridge that are present in the room.
The staff is abundantly helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. What really stood out was the restaurant ( Ripples) that overlooked the river.
Loud dirty doors banging all nite staff dont care.
Comfortable beds, clean and well decorated with helpful staff and a tasty breakfast included. The lobby and the hallway to the rooms are well maintained and clean.
Dated old hotel in great location near Gonzaga and the river trails.
Awesome location right on the river. Nice walking trail. Clean.
The location is great is about 10 minutes walk to the riverfront park. The room is nice except for the bathroom that is a little too small. The service was great. The breakfast buffet wasn't the greatest.
I would not stay here again. My family booked two separate rooms and both of them had bugs in the bed under the sheets. We freaked out and switched rooms. Which were clean but we were sketched out. I think they might have been carpet beetles, but obviously no one had cleaned the beds. It was really bad. The only reason I am giving this a two is because the staff were really great.
We have stAyed here for years...theresa mesplay is the director of housekeeping n the rooms reflect very high standards of cleanliness...plus its near downtown spokane riverpark mall n its my favorite mall on the river n near centenial trail...
Clean and friendly. Difficult to maneuver, very crowded.
Well just let me say that the view was great but our stay was not cool me and my friend were playing basketball there basketball hoop was horrabile and had a flat ball they couldnt pump it up there food was ok there toast was not good it had mold on the bread good thing I didnt eat the bread we stayed Friday and Saturday night we didnt relized that Saturday morning there was a blood stain on the bed and got bitten Friday night while I was sleeping I seen I got lumps on my side of my leg Saturday morning then Saturday after noon when we got back about 5pm after bowling they didnt even remake our beds even when we put the card on our beds in the morning satuday night me and my friend went in the hot tube and the water was not hot and the jets did not even work and there fitness room was ok but they suck DO NOT stay at the red lion river inn they suck really badly!!!!!
I went to the Red Lion River Inn for training for my job. This place is awesome. The conference rooms are spacious and the customer service is top notch. I will definitely return when circumstances allow it.
Good location, close to many restaurants and activities. Clean rooms.
Friendly staff. They were able to let us check in early and show us how to check out the falls upon leaving.
Very good hotel, neat and clean room, excellent service. Breakfast was included. Free parking. Nice location on the river.
The party setup was great, food and people were nice
We've stayed at this hotel numerous times. It always lives up to expectations. It's clean and quiet and a decent location. It's close to the trail that leads to riverfront park which is nice as you can walk right downtown if you wanted. The check in process usually has a bit of a wait here. It's a convenient hotel with fridge, microwave and TV in every room.
Was in town a couple of nights for work. Place was nice enough with nice staff. No cleanliness issues that I could see, good proximity to the main part of Spokane.
Have to say it was a bad expeience. Stayed there New Year's Eve. The lack of communication between the restaurant, bar and front desk was beyond awful. I had contacted all of them several times to confirm details about food availability, shuttle use because they all said the restaurant would be closed from 5 pm which didn't make sense being it was New Years. Our shuttle never showed to take us to dinner so we drove ourselves, rushed through dinner because at this point we were running late and then when we got into the bar for party we found a buffet and full menu available in restaurant. The staff was not helpful with any questions before our stay. The right hand had no idea what the left was doing. I got charged for 2 rooms instead of 1. There were 2 other couples with us that had to deal with all the mess that was created and so I would not recommend this hotel for planning a group function that involves restaurant/bar and hotel because the managers in the different areas obviously don't communicate with each other what is available at the time in each area. I haven't included everything that went wrong because it was a mess from check in to check out.
I visited hotel for training l. I did not stay there since I live in town. Meeting room was nice and staff was pleasant.
The stay was fine, but there was no elevator and the floor was dirty. It's also 15$ a night for a trundle.
We enjoyed our stay at Red Lion River Inn. Our room was comfortable with microwave, fridge, and coffee maker. Bed was nice and cushy.
My wife and I had reservations at Clinkerdagers for Christmas this year. Unfortunately there was some type of water leak/flooding and they couldn't open. We were already there when we found out and needed to find some other place for dinner. Not knowing what was open and had seating available we ended up at the downtown Spokane River Front. They had a specific Christmas menu to choose from. The staff was very nice and did a good job but the food was, lackluster. It wasn't terrible but tasted like cafeteria food. It just wasn't the great dining experience we were anticipating from Clinkerdagers. If it were not a planned multi-hour dining experience and just dropping in for dinner it wouldn't have been as terrible, but even so was still overpriced cafe food. The soup was cold, the sides were lukewarm at best, and the main dish was "ok."
Friendly staff and clean rooms. Good value for the money.
Good location, close to restaurants and Gonzaga. Quiet and the staff are always friendly and helpful.
Great place to stay! They welcome pets and the showers are hot! Nice individual patios on first floor. We were upgraded to King bed for free. Has a microwave and fridge.
Red Lion River Inn was quick to get us a reservation, was clean, and in a good location. It took some time to check in, and the wifi was not great, but other than that we were happy with everything!
Pictures online look great but once we got past the lobby the place started to look very outdated and not maintained properly. Carpets look 20 years old and the paint in all the hallways is a little rough. Upon entering our room we noticed immediately that the bath tub looked dirty and the bath mat looked somewhat moldy on the edges. Upon looking out the window i noticed about 70,000 spider eggs all on the outsides of the window looking like something out of a halloween movie. Once we went to get into our bed for the night we noticed black little pieces of something all thru out the bedding. It was so bad we had to get new sheets. After arriving back at the room we noticed coffee stains all over the bedding that still smelled of coffee. This place needs to really step up thier cleaning and maintenance. Absolutely the last time we will stay here. Avoid at all costs.
Rooms were in great condition when I arrived, and the desk attendants were very flexible
My son got hurt really bad because of this piece on the back of a treadmill making a place for something to fall in between it and the tread. No one even cared I asked for a first aid kit and they told me to wait!! We travel alot when it's wrestling season using the exercise facilities often and I never even thought it could be so dangerous. My son lost five layers of skin on his hand and has to be seen by a plastic surgeon. Which extended our stay and they didn't even care we couldn't fly out until his follow up doctors visit because of his injury. We we're forced to relocate. Other than that the food is great and the location was extremely convenient not to mention beautiful. Hopefully this will help someone else not get hurt.
My wife and i were staying at the Red Lion River Inn for a leadership conference. Room was nice a lot bigger then we expected. The staff was super friendly and hight tentative to our needs and very helpful. Over all a great stay.
People here are always awesome and it's topped off by a great river view at the restaurant. We visit often for the Flying Irish runs.
Really close to everything in downtown spokane. For the money it was a great deal. Everything was satisfactory. Not a super nice place and you can tell the building is older but the room was in good shape. Sitting on the patio at the bar for drinks was great. Happy hour pricing is decent. I would stay here again. On a side note there are no elevators for the second floor. If you are disabled or have lots of luggage you would be better off getting a room on the ground floor. They did offer help with the bags.
Good clean room with great views - got a free upgrade to premium when no standard rooms were available
I was extremely disappointed with my stay at the Red Lion River Inn. My husband and I stayed here a little over a year ago and absolutely loved it! So when we needed a place to stay while we were in Spokane, without a second thought we knew we were going to stay here. Big mistake! We travel with our 2 dogs and this time an 11 week old newborn. (Obviously a bit stressful). Typically we stay at the La Quinta hotels because they do not charge for pets, they are always clean, friendly staff and the continental breakfast is a nice start to the day. When I checked in I asked for a room with the sliding glass doors because it is so much easier to take our dogs out, and I was told that they do not have those types of rooms. I get to our room and the pillows are filthy, the bed is broken, there are long black hairs in the bed, a hair clip on the lamp shade and the coffee pot looked as if it had never been cleaned. I went to the front desk and spoke with the employee who I had dealt with when I checked in. Her response was, well you wont be charged for the broken beds, if you bring the pillows back to me we will get you new ones. I asked if we could change rooms and she said we could not. Fast forward to the morning, I am obviously not using the coffee pot, so I go to the lobby for a cup of coffee. I did not know that they charge 10.95 for their breakfast buffet. (I will own that, because I didnt read the information about the hotel.) I suppose my "rose colored glasses" from my previous stay kept me from doing my homework on the hotel policies. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. As a matter of fact I would use this hotel as an example of how not to treat your guests. The lack of cleanliness and apathy of the employees is astonishing.
Pretty nice hotel, had 2 heated pools, room service, and breakfast. Any requests we had, they did, including needing duct tape to patch a pool toy. The a.c. in our room was weak though, and the quilts on the bed didn't really fit on us right. But other than that, fantastic stay!
It was absolutely beautiful, we had great service. Our room was upgraded upon arrival and we were allowed a late check out. We were completely satisfied and will be staying here again! :)
The hotel was very nice, went there to a conference and the staff was very polite and understanding. The lobby was nice and they had a tv they had a resturant and a bar as well, but I didn't eat there.
Very enjoyable, older facility but well taken care of, updated furnishings and very comfortable bed.
Nice spot right on the river walk, but older building that feels dated. They do offer bike rentals, conference center, and outdoor pools & recreation. Not a lot of amenities for free to guests, typicalfor Red Lion chain.
Room is decent if a bit loud and musty smelling. Meeting room for professional development classes could use better temperature regulation.
Nice rooms, good breakfast at the Ripple, excellent customer service.
It was the band they had playing there. Their name was GladHammer. Excellent !
Had a meeting with a friend at the inn. Very very nice and clean establishment. Some homeless strolling around in the parking is the only reason I give it 4 stars. They did have security though who got the transients to leave. Would recommend to anyone.
In good weather this is a nice place to have drinks & appetizers outside by the river.
The hotel was ok. The check in staff was very friendly. The room was nice. Our bathroom could have been cleaner. There was some dried blood on the toilet and hair on the wall in the shower. Other than that the hotel was fine.
This facility is in a lovely physical setting on the Spokane River. Staff are warm, welcoming and gracious to assist if problems arise. Beds are super comfy. Attached Ripples Restaurant service, menu, prices are excellent. Lobby coffee is to die for.
A very nice hotel but the staff r very condensending and very biased n prejudicial against anybody that even looks like they maybe homeless and on the streets.
Convenient location. Nice rooms, and friendly staff!
A great place to stay while visiting the inland empire.
Really nice place to stay with a great View! And also had a great lounge and restaurant
Good location. Typical Red Lion quality but a good value and the bar was surprisingly nice.
Won't be going back...smelly hallways and rooms...bugs and cobwebs...stain on curtains that shoulnd have been clean...restaurant was fine...ladies at front desk were nice and friendly. ...stayed last weekend..
Great location, walking distance to gonzaga university and waterfalls. Restaurant on site
My star at read lion inn was alright the waight room was sup par and the swimming pool was not a place you could do laps in. However it was nice that they did provide us with a very nice Tennace court that almost made up for the lack of a complacentry breakfast. However the restaurant at the red lion is very nice.
