Really nice the first time. We were close to the lobby and restaurant. The second time we were in building 6, the furthest away, the coffee pot still had someone else's coffee left in the pot with the filter petrified in it. Room was not as nice either the second time.

The room smelled like it had mold or had been smoked in first off. The hotel is old. There was mold in my bathtub. I tried getting food out of the vending machine and it got stuck 3 times and they did not reimburse me or try and help. The cushions on the ourdoor funiture was missing. The end wing of the building appears to be inhabited by college students using it as dorms. The only thing that was ok was the bar...thank goodness i could get drunk to make up for my stay.

I don't think I could say enough good things about this place. The staff was wonderful, the breakfast was excellent, and the view from the room was amazing.
Checking in was so quick and painless, navigating our way to the room was easy, if you actually follow her directions, and the room was absolutely comfortable. The beds were so nice I didn't even want to get up, and the breakfast buffet was wonderful.
Honestly, if I had to find something to complain about, it would be that the shower kept going from warm to coldish while showering, but that's about it. Everything else was excellent.
I won't stay anywhere else in Spkane.

When I booked the hotel room they told me there was free breakfast. But when I checked in they said they charged for it. After complaining about it they gave me free breakfast slips for the night I was staying there. The room was comfortable and our room looked over the river. The walls seemed to be thick enough that you could not hear your neighbor. My only other gripe is that the only hand soap they had was lavender tea soap and I am allergic to lavender. Had to use the body wash which was scented.

Decent motel for the price ($60 after taxes through priceline) about a mile from the knitting factory, but it's an easy walk. The staff are walk very friendly and when we had a major problem with the room they immediately moved us.

Check in is at 3pm. I showed up at 3pm and they told me my room wasnt cleaned yet. I asked how long it would take and they said they didnt know but would give me a call when it was ready. They didn't even appear to be sorry. Room had a funny smell. Carpet wasn't very clean. Fridge had old food in it. Hair in the shower. Stayed 2 nights and after 1st night my keys were deactivated and i couldnt get into the building..which was a hassle to have to go to desk for new keys. Probably wont stay here again. Gave it 2 stars because I'm a nice person.

Stayed here for an entire month in October. Great rooms. Reasonable rates. Loved that it was so close to the University and the trails. I wish they had an indoor pool for the cold season but it was still a great place to stay. Room service was great and they did an amazing job keeping my room clean and tidy. All staff is really friendly.

The rooms are clean, comfortable, and appealing. The staff is friendly and professional. Overall a very nice experience. There are a few very small irritations but nothing so serious that I wouldn't stay there again. No indoor pool, and the breakfast was mediocre. The bathroom tissue is abominable. On a comfort scale of 1 to 10 the beds are a 7 or 8.

We just stopped by for drinks so I can't comment. The bar was very nice and modern, and the people were very nice. The service was slow and the drink subpart. That being said, I would certainly go back to try again. Beautiful spot and more to offer than what I sampled.

Their night time security guard is a joke, and needs to learn when it's okay to be in someone else's business. I understand that it's his job to be nosy and alert and aware of his surroundings.... But come on, on Christmas night when all are going home or in to get settled for the evening and part of staying at a hotel on Christmas already is stressful to the Max but then to have a problem security guard right up your ass every time you open the door or to have this man sitting directly outside the room of another family members room on the stairs almost as if he were listening in on the conversation we were having..... Not to mention my significant other/ other half was waiting out in our vehicle for me with the car off and all the lights as well witnessing the same security guard walking up to more then just 1 vehicle with his flashlight on and in his hand just randomly looking into vehicles.... For what reasons? Their wasn't any that were CLEARLY APPARENT to the naked eye, to me it sounds like an invasion of privacy and like this man needs to be let go from an establishment such as a hotel like this one. You know I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt when I first caught on and got a wierd vibe from the beginning but after speaking with more then just one female and a couple males also I realized that my suspicion and gut feeling was right and this man should not be able to work with any kind of human interaction man, woman, child, adult.... He's definitely on the stranger side

Though the rooms were slightly hard to find, they were well furnished and comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was hot and fresh, with lots of coffee at hand. Everything was clean and staff was very helpful. I'll be staying here again!

Got to our room and layed down, quickly realized the bed was broken and the box spring was falling through to the floor so the bed was caving in. Went to the office and they said they would get their maintenance person out there immediately, and sure enough the problem didn't get fixed at all. The opposite side of the bed just caved in instead. Musty smelling rooms, not very clean and had belongings from previous guests left. Creeps lurking in the parking lot. Would not stay again.

Went to their restaurant and was pleasantly surprised! This place is really nice, beautiful views and not real noisy. I had the Fish & Chips, it was good and the coleslaw, which is something I normally don't like, was very Good! My wife had their Chicken Apple Salad and loved It! I'm looking forward to going back there again soon!!!

Dirty, dingy, and just plain gross. I was expecting a lot more from a Red Lion. Our toilet seat was cracked in half when we first got to the room and was never fixed. Stay across the street at the park location if you want to stay at a Red Lion. The one at the river isn't any better than a motel 8.

The maid service is great, they didn't steel anything and my bed was made perfectly. They took my toothbrush and made a cute folded towel which was cool. The food was alright they have an all you can eat breakfast buffet. Which consists of sausage, bacon, and potatoes. The rooms always smell wierd when you walk in but you get use to the smell after 5 minutes. Overall it was a good stay and I will be staying here again.

I like this hotel. Have stayed here many times and will stay here again. I like the location and the fact that it isn't surrounded by loud traffic and parking here is easy.

It's not new, has a really weird layout and sadly, the friendly desk staff have been replaced by a few that can use training in basic manners. The breakfast option is nice but the quality has declined greatly over recent years. Greatly. The rooms really aren't very clean either. Grout in the bathrooms is moldy, trash was on the floor in the bathroom when I first checked in this past visit, the bathroom door was actually sticky to the touch (not the first time I've experienced this) and the corners of the room are full of dirt, so the rooms have gone a long time without a good cleaning.

It's not nasty, just not awesome either. It is however, generally pretty quiet, which is nice and the wifi is fast. As long as you can get a good rate and go into it not expecting awesome but instead just ok, you'll be satisfied.

I want to preface the below with a compliment for the front desk staff. The female who assisted me during check-in was fantastic.

Getting to the details - Don't stay here if you can help it. Stay across the river in the Fairfield or even the Holiday Inn on the hill. This is my first and last time at this hotel.

Upon walking into my hallway I was greeted by fluorescent lighting that was taken right out of a hospital ward, I could easily hear the other guests in their rooms talking, and there was a pungent smell in the air that reminded me of a dusty attic.

I walked into my room and the pungent smell worsened and I felt the desire to backtrack and act as if I had never arrived here.

Keep an eye on the walls/tables as you'll occasionally catch them moving. No, not because they're designed to be that way, but rather due to small insects that like to crawl around. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, ants - a hotel guest's best friend!

If you took the time to read through my review after I said don't stay here, I'll kindly remind you - Don't Stay Here! Change your reservation to another hotel (i.e.: Fairfield Inn or Holiday Inn).

You've been warned!

Hotel staff was great, they were friendly and very helpful. My only complaint is the room I was in was not well maintained. The door was missing parts, shower was stained from what seemed many years of use, and the walls looked as though they've seen hundreds of guests through the years.

My laptop was stolen out of my locked room. Hotel management told me they are not responsible for guests nor our belongings in their locked rooms. I called Spokane Police to report . Management could have cared less. Do not book here!

Great variety of amenities (pool, tennis court, fitness center, etc) and nice room but some items were not functional (one of the queen mattresses was in terrible shape, the heater in one of the pools was not working, rooms were not very soundproof, etc). With some updates this place would be awesome, especially with the views of the river and great poolside area, but as is it's just okay.

The hotel staff was very friendly .

The hotel staff was very friendly .
Despite the location, the view from the north side 3rd floor was poor.
And despite being on the 3rd floor, the noise from the 4th floor was intolerable. Jarring thumps and booms woke me all through the night even after calling the front desk twice.
Not a place for peaceful sleep.
If you want to try this place, go for a south side room on the top floor. You may get a view and/or some rest.

I was attending a meeting, the service was great, starting with the walking in the door. I was happily greated. As I continued on, I noticed how much things such as decore has changed. Everything seemed neat and clean. When I was ready to order a drink, the service was just great as well. Based upon the service, I would recommend this place to friends and co-workers.
