Red Ginger China Bistro Review

Two of my favorite Chinese restaurants in Blaine closed recently. I was desperately craving Chinese food and got on doordash to give something new a try. This is my 2nd time ordering in 2 weeks and both times the food arrived extremely fresh (despite it being a 20 minute drive for the driver to my house) and is the best chicken chow mein I have had, ever. Even if my old favorites reopened, I think I would still order from here. They have so many options on their menu, I am excited to see what else I love next time and will definitely check out their dine in once it is safe to do so!

Love the food and the staff. They are prompt and not the chattiest but are always on top of your order. My favorite Chinese food.

Best Chinese food anywhere on the planet. No kidding!

I was excited to show my friend this place because I was a fan for so long but unfortunately they showed us terrible customer service and it bummed me out. We asked for a substitute of tofu for the sweet and sour chicken and they refused. They were unwelcoming and unappreciative which was disappointing after spending nearly $50!

I love Red Ginger's food! their dinner menu is great.. hot food served up fast..fresh vegetables, they have a lunch buffet that is my favorite

4.7 stars Food was great, friendly staff, helpful, nice assortment on the menu, and a very clean eatery/environment.
I did take out hence my 4.7 rating there was no cutlery or napkins placed in the take.out bag. Second was I wasn't given a choice in white rice or fried rice for my entree but then again I didn't ask either

We had a very large order. Red ginger made sure every single thing was accounted for, everything was fresh & HOT, even after letting it sit out for at least an hour. Plentiful sauces, online ordering was easy. Everything about our experience was wonderful!

The only thing I am not liking about Red Ginger is when you order take out they only have one size. Other Chinese places have a larger and smaller size to choose from which is nice. I wish Red Ginger would do this. What if you are a single person and don't want to order one huge dish when it is just you? I have wanted a variety of things but end up spending like $30 on myself because I don't have a family....this makes me go to different places. To end on a good note...the food is great here.

I celebrated my graduation today in this gorgeous place. happy to tell that we passed a superb evening and the restaurant was absolutely one of the reasons for this fruitful event. The team helped in a pleasant manner, the cooking was great and my guests were very delighted. We shall surely visit again for more celebrations. thanks very much.

Food was good, clean restaurant and a friendly staff. I will be back.

I have gone to this place for years in spite of having moved quite far away quite some years ago! Red Ginger has the highest quality Chinese food I have ever had!

This place has an American Chinese menu as well as a more authentic Chinese menu. No need to drive to the cities

Super fast, Super food, Siper service.
Kung Pao Beef and Tripple Crown were delicious. Spices were just right! This place was crazy busy, but got the food out hot and fast. Great Asian cuisine!

Nice selection of food and great quality. Prices are a bit high, but it's all better than your typical Chinese restaurant.

Food is always good and hot. Cream cheese puffs are sublime! Best price for puffs! Chow mein, fried rice, sweet and sour chicken is great.

Buffet is wonderful. Tastes like the MSG is omitted in just about every fish. Food is hot like it should Be!

Just wanted to say how great the food is! Loved the food and we have been searching for years for a great Chinese Place near us in Fridley and we have found it. Will definitely be back:)

Really nice restaurant, Peking pork chops on the Chinese menu were so good would recommend. Also place is nice and big definniety able to accommodate large parties which is nice.

Not only does it have the best Asian food in town, it also offer the best value. Highly recommended. Owner is constantly in restaurant making sure everything is of the highest quality.

Food here is always excellent. Service is very good and friendly.

I was craving egg rolls on Easter and got them through door dash but when I bit I to them it was like someone dumped a whole tin of black pepper I to them and I could not eat them. The cream cheese wantons were great

Terrible service. Nasty rude manager. Unpleasant food. Would NEVER eat here again.

Service was terrible, when I walked in the cashier looked up at me then ignored me and didn t even say hello til after I turned my back to leave. If you re vegetarian DONT GO HERE!! They have very few vegetarian options & They refused to substitute Tofu for chicken on any dish. Any other Asian restaurant this is no problem considering it s just sauce.
Don t recommend at all.

Pork fried rice came burnt and the wings, the beef lo mein and the black pepper steak all had no flavor at all, might be better in person but don't know if I'm gonna risk it

The cheese puffs were great. The service was fast which told me the food was not freshly cooked. The cashew chicken had an odd taste to the sauce.

Great Chinese dishes. My husband and I go here a couple times a month. The sauce in the sweet and sour chicken tastes like its home made. Yum! (I went to another place that made it from scratch and its identical).

We just got a party catered from Red Ginger and we re really impressed. The dishes came with good plastic serving spoons (wasn t expecting that but very pleased with it). I would have posted a picture, but we were to excited to dig in to waste time with such shenanigans. Amazing and great food.

We had ordered vegetable pad thai and ended up finding pieces of shrimp and chicken in the food. When we called to complain, the manager's response was that the kitchen was busy that night and mistakes such as these happen. They then asked us to come back to the restaurant and pick up a new vegetarian pad thai. We will not be eating here again.

Ordered lemon chicken dish with extra chicken. They forgot the lemon sauce so all I had was... chicken?

It seems chinese food can be a personal taste thing, but my wife and I were not impressed. One entree, fried rice and 4 egg rolls....$28 and I would not have paid $12 for it. I had the Sesame Chicken and it was soggy and not very flavorful. The egg rolls were dry. The fried rice was good. Way to overpriced for me and the quality was not very good. Sad for me since we live a very short distance away.

Contrary to Jessica Jones belief: the food here is pretty awful, even if they manage to get your order right- its pretty nasty tasting. On the plus side the service I received was marginal, this food is great if you DONT know what good Chinese food should taste like.

Love the buffet! Get there early, buffet from 11:00 til 2PM. Not a "mega" buffet, but plenty of selections for me and a GREAT price. AAAAA +++++

Food is not that good not sure how they go as many stars as they do maybe cause most ppl can't cook so they think most cooking is good long as it's better then there own

Had the beef fried rice. Some of the BEST in the Twin Cities!!

Gross! First our order was missing items. The items we did receive were cold and just gross. I've never even said Chinese food was gross in my life until now. Don't order here.

Pretty authentic great chinese food

Awesome fried rice. My favorites are the Red ginger pad Thai and the kung pao beef. Service is fast and food has always been good.

I've seen a lot of differing reviews and my experience tonight with 16 ppl was very positive. We all had dishes we like and we have a person who grew up in China who said this was an OK place too, which is good for him - he's pretty picky. I had the Singapore dish and the Red Ginger wings. The wings were very good and the Singapore dish is great too. It took me a minute to get used to the different taste of it, but I like it.

Really good food esp for its location. They have live dungeness crab and lobsters. Will definitely be back.

We love Red Ginger both for eat in and carry out. The honey walnut shrimp is pretty amazing. Other favorites are the house fried rice and pad Thai.

Ordered through Doordash. Food was excellent with wonderful flavors. House fried rice was my favorite. Orange chicken that you could actually taste the oranges. Just outstanding!

Everytime I go I ordered the same thing General Chow's chicken.

This is really only a partial review. The main problem I had was the speed of service. We came on a Wednesday about 5:30, and were there for an hour before we got our food. I only had a limited amount of time there, so speed was important, but it looked like there were only two servers in the entire dining room, and there were a lot of people there. I barely got to eat any of the food before I had to leave. What I tasted was good - I'll have to come back another time.

We had ordered pad Thai, pepper chicken, and pork fried rice. The pad Thai and pepper chicken had no flavor, the pepper on the chicken didn t even have a taste to it. We have had the pad Thai before, a few years ago, and it was amazing, we were very let down this time around. The pork fried rice was excellent until you got an onion in your mouth. The onions were completely raw, one bite and you could no longer taste the rice. We ended up throwing the entire meal away. Probably will not be trying them again.

Been here several times for the lunch buffet. The buffet is small, but good considering it is all-you-can-eat. The chicken in the chicken dishes is about 85% edible, and 15% grizzle. Price is fair.

Service was GREAT, food was GREAT, portions were GREAT, wine glasses were FULL. We will be back!

Best Chinese food I've ever had in the Twin Cities. I would recommend the house fried rice.

If you order through a delivery service, soggy food is a possibility. That's what happens when your food sits in the car for 40 minutes, not the restaurant's fault.

Outstanding place. You will need to take home food for what they give you. You pay for great food and you will get it here. You will go home stuffed.

Had the Singapore noodles, wontons, and wonton soup. Everything was delicious! Will be coming back again.

Was cooked well, but not something I'd go out of my way for.

Every time I go here I want to like it, but I just can't. The food they offer in the buffet always seems to be mushy, and bland. The soup in the buffet looks like it's been out all day, visible by the ring of crust that forms at the top. I've tried ordering off of the menu, and it's just okay. Staff has always been quick and polite.
