Great place for a walk, and to see different species of plants.

Red Butte Garden is a unique botanic garden experience. Almost all of it is outdoors and spread out over several acres. Most of it focuses on local desert flora but there are a couple of spots with seating, water features, and a variety of non-indigenous plants. The terraced walkway up the hill has breath-taking views of Salt Lake valley. There are trails for uncultivated areas through bushes and wildflowers. Tickets are about $25.

Gorgeous venue! I can't wait to bring the kids. There are a variety of gardens; you'll find herbal, fragrant, medicinal, rose, a children's garden, and more. While there, I was stung by a wasp, and the staff kindly assisted with first aid. Nice gift shop and classrooms too. Looking forward to my next visit!

My first time at Red Butte Garden was great. We went to a concert, 3 great bands, and the setting is beautiful. It's easy to get into, the temperature was great, the restrooms were very clean, the grass was nice, the moon came up over the concert after the sun set, and the atmosphere was just really fun to be in. We parked down the hill for free, and walked up to the venue. Getting back out was easy as well. I look forward to attending other shows or concerts at Red Butte in the future. two thumbs up!! Ps. Take your low back low to the ground (so those behind you can see) chairs or a blanket.

If your a local or college student then you can get in free or save some money. It's 12 dollars for adults and for me that was too high. The garden was ok, but nothing spectacular. Stayed about 30 mins and left. If your not into looking at random flowers, then this probably isn't the place for you. I'm sure my mom or grandmother would have a higher appreciation.

One of the few intimate places to go see live music or attend particular events. Tickets sell quickly for popular shows and it is BYOB. What can you not like about this place? Hopefully they will have shows this summer after this whole pandemic thing blows over.

I am very excited to review Red Butte Gardens after having my wedding there at the beginning of August! I would absolutely recommend it for any event. The venue speaks for itself- the beautiful Utah plants and flowers and the lovely, peaceful surroundings are absolutely ideal for celebration. I had my ceremony at the Fragrance Garden and the luncheon that followed in the Orangerie. From the very beginning (over a year before my wedding), the staff was absolutely amazing to work with. I got to know many of the event people while we planned everything and I enjoyed working with all of the team very much. They are professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and creative. They helped me figure out the best flow for my event and how to create an ideal experience for all 150 guests. They arranged everything for my bridal photos perfectly and even had a golf cart ready to transport us around the gardens to all of the ideal locations. The list of venue-approved caterers is fantastic, and they helped manage the seating very well too. Everything went perfectly and I honestly wouldn t change a single thing. Go check it out and meet the events team- you won t regret it! Thank you, Red Butte, for making my wedding ceremony and lunch unforgettable.

Very cool botanical garden, with lots of trails available behind it. Worth visiting for a stroll around the garden.

Red Butte garden is a lovely place to visit and walk through. At different times of the year you will see a brilliant explosion of colors, and every type of flower and plant that grows in the Utah climate. You can also enjoy this experience while enjoying a wonderful concert. There are many artists of all types that enjoy Red Butte Gardens

It s a good game for kids to get the stuff done for the game and it s not really fun and it gets me to get it back. I m going on the road right here in a couple minutes I will have y all go back out to eat lunch or lunch with him tomorrow morning I wanna do.

The yellow one is the sun in my head so it s a great day I love y all.

Great place for weddings and receptions. Had my wedding dinner in the Orangerie. So charming. Not good sound system for the mic and music for dancing. Everything else was wonderful.

Great garden. Great place to pack a picnic basket and a cold bottle of wine and spread a blanket in a secluded place or by the water.

Beautiful garden! Well taken care of, lots of paths you can go on. They have a children's garden that's fun for kids. I like coming here with and without my kids. It's really peaceful. Lots of fun places to sit and enjoy the garden.

Would be great if they had more evening hours in summer. Beautiful and inspiring gardens with cool mix of themes. Some labels are hard to match with plants, and some trails currently under renovation. Very kid friendly; great for picnics; not particularly accessible for people without cars.

Simply beautiful...great show by the Brothers Avett. If you have the chance to go...don't miss it...

Do not put this one off, you will not regret going over and over again. Absolutely gorgeous, well thought-out, and sustainable gardening. Staff was friendly and informative; during our time there we saw several wildlife surprises including a juvenile rabbit and gorgeous waterfowl. The scent garden stood out, as did the myriad of cacti species that were in large planters along the trail. It stays relatively shady in most areas, but don't forget to pack plenty of water!

Even in the fall this place is beautiful. Price of admission is geared to prosperous middle class.

Such a beautiful place and very accommodating staff. I had my wedding here and everything was so perfect! They even wiped down chairs after a surprise snowstorm so my ceremony could still be outside.

This place is so beautiful and will not disappoint! They have paved walking paths and unpaved hiking paths. The amount of walking paths is amazing. There is a childrens garden, herb garden, rose garden, natural meadow, large pond with several waterfall features and so much more. They have concerts in the evenings and a great indoor reception area.

Beautiful park plenty of trails and sights for many different types of patrons. Only down side is events (if you're not participating); wedding going on during my visit had music and microphones blasting through most of the main park attractions.

Great garden - you have to explore beyond what you see just outside the building. Children's garden has much for kids to "touch, taste, smell, see, and hear".

The best venue for a concert in salt lake! We still have to visit the gardens during the day because they look amazing.

It's hard to judge a place in the winter. Everything was dead. It did look like a place to try out in the summer. I will have to give this place another shot.

Beautiful gardens are nestled in the high benches of Salt Lake City. Meandering from garden to garden, I leanred about plants and tress I have been seeing in the mountain west that I knew nothing. about. The rose garden is absolutely beautiful. I had no idea such beautiful roses can be grown in this part of the country. The uppermost gardens have spectular views of the city. This botanical site is a gem. I was to go seasonally

Beautiful grounds, great venue for concerts. we arrived as the gates opened and were way back in line, but got amazing seats, I don't think there are bad seats. so much nicer than that other outdoor venue. The restrooms are beautiful clean and accessible. The best part, the ease of getting out after the concert, was out in minutes. way way better than waiting hours else where. Brought my own Cooler full of adult beverages and a amazing tuna salad. We had a picnic during the concert. Bring a blanket to lay down people seem the respect the blanket boundaries, where as with out it people will sit on your feet. Red Butte I will be Back

Oh, we have so many memories at this location. They do such a wonderful job and guest always seem to have amazing events here.

GREAT place to see a concert, hard to get tickets though, so sign up as a member assuming they re having artists that you want to see!!!

Super Pretty! Went for a high school dance and loved it, we planned on only spending an hour or so there and wound up looking around for 2 and half! Well worth the entry cost!

Lots of plants, costs about $20 if you're not a student or a member.

I love Red Butte Gardens. Been coming since High School. Garden After Dark is always fun too.

Very beautiful and highly recommend for all the nature lovers out there. This place offers activities for everyone! Fantastic date idea for all the lovers. Exotic atmosphere for all the young learners. Beautiful picturesque escape for all the out of town travelers. A variety of hiking trails are littered all around the garden for all the avid adventurers.

I was able to enjoy my time at the concert. We were able to find a good area to put our blanket out and still be able to see.

Beautiful, lots of different trails (I didnt go to) and a walking area with different gardens.

This has both paved and dirt pathways to take and see native and non-native landscaping. The developed gardens are have a variety of plants with a focus on those that can deal with the snow in winter and hot and dry in summer. We often go here throughout the year just to walk and see what may be flowering. I really like the early spring plants but summer is beautiful here.

Today is April 7 2019. Weather is still cold. And this garden doesn't have any flowers on the ground. You are just checking signs and view of Salt Lake City. Waste of your money. I paid $14 and I stayed there like 15 minutes max.

Don't waste your time and money until Summer.

It a great learning experience, a relaxing and scenic walk, and a breath of fresh air. I do wish they removed labeling plaques for plant that aren't currently there.

Great space for corporate events. The hall was beautiful, the gardens great for conversational walking, and the staff were very attentive.
Some of the chicken was a little dry, it would have been nice to have some sort of sauce with it.

One of my favorite outdoor venues... Definitely the best in Salt lake!

Went to Salt Lake City for business and wanted to go hiking to get some exercise and fresh air. I wasn't xpecting to have to pay, but the $14 admission was well worth it. The hike to the back of the park was rewarded by an incredible view and a beautiful mountain stream. Well maintained trails and friendly staff.

SLC staple: Red Butte Summer concert series! BYO picnic and watch good bands. Please, never change!

Be advised, this is a BYOB venue. They don't sell drinks but you can bring whatever you want.

Buy a membership and take a stroll each time you come to SLC.

This place is just gorgeous. We come every year for the Garden After Dark and it always exceeds our expectations. They really go the extra mile to make it a really special and fun time for these kids, and it's great for the parents too! Just a beautiful place and great atmosphere. And all the seeds we got last year bloomed beautifully this year, and brought many bees and butterflies to out garden. Thanks guys! Can't wait for next year!

CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Employees shining flashlights in our faces. They used to let you go up into the garden during concerts but not any more. I wish it wasn't against thh law to shoot feces out of my butt and on to the concert venue.

All the plants are amazing! It is so beautiful with the mountains in the background.

Rodrigo y Gabriela were fantastic live, their recordings can't match their energy in a concert. The sound was excellent. It was a beautiful late summer night on the nicely manicured lawn, surrounded by the lush Red Butte gardens. A truly wonderful venue. Even the stone restroom buildings are an artistic statement.

Do go! Specialty gardens, ornamental trees, place for ideas to grow. And a lovely walk.
