I went here on July 24, 2018, it was simply stunning with amazing opportunities for photos. There are fantastic views of the surrounding area, the U of U and Salt Lake City. I look forward to going again and again!
Great concert venue. The amphitheater provides a beautiful setting close the mountains. It feels much more intimate than a sports arena or stadium to see your favorite bands.
Such a fun concert hall. They don't have their liquor licence so they let you bring in your own!
Katie was our tour guide during my son's 1st grade field trip! She was very good with the kids and has a lot of knowledge about the gardens and is super fun to listen to.
This is a true oasis. Different gardens to walk through, hiking paths, flora outstanding. Rose garden, fragrance garden, the new water conservation garden with a view of the whole Salt Lake Valley, just to name a few of the highlights. Lots of benches in shady cool places, even some outdoor chairs with cushions. This botanical garden is very inviting and one wants to spend several hours to enjoy nature.
Absolutely stunning! It's a wonderful place to walk around and even get ideas for your own garden and landscape. They have great trails as well and wonderful views of salt lake and the mountains!
Literally one of the only places you can still go on Valentine's Day and find any flower you're looking for. They're just in pictures not growing
The Friends of Red Butte Garden plant sale was smashing even though it was wet and cold.
This place is great. Nice walks, concerts, kids and adult activities. There are a ton of native plants and trees on display here. All of which are labeled in case you get ideas. If you live in or are visiting Salt Lake and have never been here, you should visit.
Phenomenal garden. Something for everyone. Trails for kids, paths accessible to wheelchairs, beautifully maintained gardens, hiking trails, lovely views, art exhibits, great gift shop. Plan to spend a few hours at least.
This place is so beautiful, even in the winter when the sun is shining.

It's like a zoo, but more chill, because you're not worried about seeing all the animals and instead get to just walk around enjoying all of the beautiful flowers.
This place is beautiful. You will not be disappointed. I did a little picnic on the lawn on a nice warm afternoon. Afterward walk around the gardens. Its very peaceful and a bird told me there is an initiative to increase the WiFi to higher points. Laptop and great views? Productive, peaceful times? Hell yes.

Red Butte Garden is stunningly beautiful. It s many gardens in one with a rose garden, desert landscape, butterfly garden, a children s garden, pond and more. It s a treasure on the east bench of Salt Lake City that is lovely in any season. It also offers gardening workshops, family activities, and a truly awesome concert venue.
Went to watch the TGR Ski movie, it was really fun. Always a great venue.
Beautiful place. I visited in late October and I was surprised to find several roses and other flowers. Highly recommend if you are in Salk lake city.
I love the variety of native plants grown here. Walking around the gardens is a great experience.
Went after fall had started so basically everything was dead and brown,I know the place would have been amazing in the spring and summer months,
I've only visited in summer and fall but absolutely love the grounds. Such a peaceful place to go with people or by yourself. You get a killer view of the valley and could spend a full afternoon here easily. Worth every penny!
I think we went top early in the year. Most plants were still dormant. Few areas with nice daffodils. $14.00 seems a little high for what we saw.
I have been going to Red Butte Gardens for a number of years, and have never been disappointed. It is a very well maintained facility, clean, and absolutely beautiful. The staff are so very friendly and helpful. There is a really nice children's area, so it is friendly for the little people. I think, that should visit, you will have a fun and educational experience.
Great venue, bathrooms were clean and there are alot of stalls so no waiting. For someone not familiar with the area the parking was confusing. It is a great place to hang out and listen to your favorite music.
Such an awesome place to see a concert in the Summer!

Red Butte Garden is absolutely beautiful! These pictures were taken in November. Even this late in the year things are still in full bloom.

I went with my family to this Garden on Labor day. It is one of the free days that they have. I saw some amazing, exotic specimens in their orangerie. My favorite plant I saw there was the large Agave Americana sb. Variegata that had been moved outside for the summer. There is a new xeric (low water) garden that I found interesting. I was impressed with their large collection of cold hardy cacti. They had an entire vegetable garden that required very little water. My wife really enjoyed the large rose garden. There was a river and a waterfall with fish.
Fantastic gardens. Especially interested in their xeriscape gardens - so many beautiful plants that can thrive in dry conditions. The docent who greeted us was knowledgeable and friendly.

This place is amazing! There is beautiful scenery every where! It gave me great ideas for my backyard! I always look forward to comming here, and I do every time I get a chance. The are also concerts here to!
Great outdoor concert venue! Parking was a bit of a nuisance for amphitheatre, but good venue otherwise. Efficient lines and ticketing, good sound, great views of stage from everywhere.
So beautiful there! Yet I recommend going there in the summer and late spring.
Such a great place for any age, any interest, any one! You will find something to enjoy here or you don't enjoy life. Very nice for concerts as well. For anyone new to Salt Lake or visiting for the first time, check it out. Bring sunscreen and a hat. There is not much shade.

Excellent trails for a relaxing walk or a longer hike. Make sure to visit the Quarry House.
Its quite a unique experience walking through Red Butte Garden. Even a Zen like expierence and is best shared with a friend.
You are struck with the beauty and peacfullness as soon as you step out of the reception area and into the receiving area and beginning of the garden.
Here choose the 20 minute guided golf cart tour that gives you a brief history of the gardens as it quickly takes you through the multi-tiered landscape that make up each individual gardens areas that make Red Butte Garden so unique. Then at the conclusion of the guided tour wander back at your own pace and get a close up if what Red Butte Gardens is all about.
And if your lucky you may catch a performance at the outdoor ampitheator.
The pictures on Google for sure don't do this place justice. Before visiting (from Florida) I thought Utah was so harsh no plant could survive but I was wrong.
This lush garden rivals and maybe even tops those I've seen in the sunny state of Florida.
Beautiful gardens. Took a walk through out . All the flowers are in full bloom, coloration quite splendid and a waterfall is cascading peacefully next to a plank bridge.
Great place to have your kids walk/run around. I love the free Sundance movie (members only) during summer. And they have concert too!

I recently was able to DJ an event here and the staff was really nice and easy to work with. Their load in situation wasn't the best but they did make it easier their their help. The grounds were well kept and their communication was great!! I'd recommend them for future events.
The wasps are out of control. I understand that they are a part of nature but they
don't sell epipens at Costco.
