Smooth process. Keith Moos was very helpful and made the entire refi painless and easy. Not much legwork on my end. Everything seemed to go easily.

Multiple errors along the way. Miscommunicated required taxes due for the refi which required me to pay $1500 out of pocket long after I thought the transaction was done. In follow up to that did not notify me that I would be required to go to the RMV to finish up title work and charged me an extra $250 when that work was done one day after their communicated deadline.

Should ve just gone local. This was a disappointing experience.

The way they get you to open their solicitation is to put "Auto Loan Overpayment" on the envelope and advertiser their business as "Air Force Federal Credit Union."

Big waste of time, they talk a big game but they really are not as connected as claimed. This company is really just a broker. Also they have problems listening to the customer.

...Needed to refinance my car loan & found them through Lending Tree & they were just fantastic! Quick response once I filled out the form (which was short & simple). Got a quick phone call & they were able to help me, while I was on my 15 minute work break. Would highly recommend using this company next time you want to refinance your car...

Did not tell me that there was still a balance left on my previous lein holder.
They lowered my payment yes but took alot longer to get done because no-one followed up with me about the documents they needed. They would tell me like 4 days later and this happened like 3 times.
Plus my credit dropped dramatically.
Not happy about alot of stuff but atleast the payment is down a bit.

Not only shortened the length of my existing loan, saving me a bundle in interest, but also we're able to lower my monthly payments considerably. Friendly, easy, fast process that they walked me thru step by step. Highly recommend

Totally dishonest and deceptive company. Places ads on credit karma which fail to disclose inquiries on auto finance result in hard credit pulls and reductions in fico scores. The inquiry shows up on an unsuspecting local credit union which was very disappointed in knowing how deceptive rate genius is they should be called rate deception . Very lousy way to run a business. Stay away from this fraudster!

I financed a new car with RateGenius. Extremely easy and painless. Andy L. was a pleasure to work with.

Two annoying observations:

1) Advertised/ listed rates (2%) were way lower than anything actually available (3.5-4%). The broker said it was not due to anything about my application, but just due to the current going rates.

2) They said they would be checking many companies to find the best rate. However, for mine they just checked one. I thought they was the whole point...?

My current rate from a year ago 3.39 is lower than anything they were able to offer more, despite the low interest rates now.

I would recommend these guys to anyone. My loan officer Ryan was great, he took care of everything once I sent in the proper documents. Really stress free process.

The service was very helpful in finding a loan that would save me over a $100 monthly. This in turn brought my Debt to Income Ratio down. The staff members were very helpful and kind. My lead 'handler' was informative and surprised/appreciative of my in depth knowledge around the whole process of refinancing a vehicle loan. They respond to text messages, which was convenient during this scary time with COVID-19 going on. I do have some constructive feedback to help users going forward.
I used Experian's link to start the search while checking on my credit history. Even though i did not put in critical information(SSN, Address, etc) they still were granted access to my credit and found creditors. It was a little dis-jarring but I accepted the fact that it may have been listed in the EULA I accepted.
The guy (I guess by standard) added Gap insurance to the loan without informing me that i could have paid that portion upfront saving dollars on the loan. It was not until i was signing all the docs that i found that i could pay this upfront. When i tried to change it, i would have to re-run my credit to get a new deal(potentially losing this deal) to lower the loan and remove the Gap insurance. VERY frustrating.
Those items seem a bit deceptive, but are they are legit services so I took the deal and will figure out the Gap later. Just be sure to ask if they are adding any services before they send loans to a creditor for approval, and I did, he "forgot" that he was adding GAP. I don't fault the company, I only took one star.

It was touch and go for awhile but RateGenius hu m g in there and got the job done.

Excellent service, fast moving, paperwork fairly simple. My only slightly negative comment - if you aren t computer literate and don t know how to scan documents they require, it might be hard for some people to get everything done in the timely manner they require without help. Oh, and finding a notary was a real pain! Ha!

I signed up early in the afternoon, instead of them waiting until the next business day to call me... I received two texts and a phone call around 12:30am. What type of business sends auto calls and texts at that hour?

Hassle free and easy to do business with. Got interest down from 9.15% to 3.99%.
Other company wouldn't budge on interest.
So RateGenius helped me change to a better company that saw our credit score, and said we didn't have to pay that kind of interest.

Credit karma showed me I could save a substantial amount refinancing with rategenious. I filled out all the forms and it said a rep would contact me. A week later I got an email just stating we can t help you. No explanation, no nothing. Waste of time

I was very skeptical in the beginning because I haven t heard of the company. But my representative Ann was very helpful. She answered all my questions and out my mind at ease. The whole process went very smoothly. Ann got my paperwork to me quickly and the transaction went over well. No problems And I end up with a lower car payment which is good for me at this time. Thanks for all your help

Professional, polite, knowledgeable, friendly and most definitely the best & easiest experience refinancing our vehicle.

In the beginning my experience was great, the initial contact person reached out every day, also responded to my texts and emails timely. Once rategenius received all my information, the responses and replys were not frequent, and the loan officer I was assigned to after the company received my paperwork, never responded at all. 3 weeks after hearing an automated response that my refinance is in the funding stage, mind you I was calling to speak to the loan officer who never called, ir emailed me, by intuition on 10/24/18 I reached out to the company who now has my loan, and was told my new carpayment is due 10/25/18, had I not instinctively just called them on a whim my first car payment would've been late.

This is the first time I ever did a refi it's for my car. The comparison on here really helped me choose my current loan company. I'm saving$50/month from my original loan so that's $300/year.
Every bit counts

I did receive a good loan rate, but they didn't follow through with setting up auto payments through the FCU I chose to get the .25% loan reduction rate and won't return my phone calls regarding this issue. The FCU said Rate Genius was supposed to set it up with all my paperwork and to call them about the mistake, but the loan officer I worked with won't call me back. I recommend doing everything online if using them. I called rate genius to ask a question before starting the process online and was sucked into doing it with a person. Save yourself the hassle and do everything online, hopefully that would ensure everything is done correctly.

Finally built up the credit score I wanted to have before I could refinance my auto loan. Through Credit Karma, I was directed to Rate Genius to receive offers for a new loan.

2 months, endless back and forth questions from myself and some paperwork in between and I ve signed off on a new loan that s far better for me and my family than I had even considered would be possible.

Quin F guided me through the process from start to finish and exceeded my expectations by answering the many lengthy questions I had while explaining them simply for me to understand them.

Ultimately, while the new loan is amazing, I believe Quin sold me on the opportunity more than anything else and he was extremely polite and patient in doing so.

I ll recommend Rate Genius to all of my friends and family.

They did a great job with my refinancing however my loan officer was very communicative at the start but once I sent in my paperwork and was waiting for them to update on its status I heard nothing at all. It was very frustrating as my previous loan was due soon and I was unsure whether or not the paperwork would go through in time. Still did a great job with the refinance and helped me out for sure! Would recommend!

The process was a piece of cake from start to finish. I was offered 3 different options to choose from. Jeremy was there every step of the way and answered all questions I had. He even went as far as to walk me through the signing of my contract. My loan was paid off before I had to make my payment. Whole process was done in one business week. You cant get service like that if you walk into a bank! I would reffer their services time and time again!

They made me do a hard inquiry on my credit, and after a while told me that they cannot do anything because I m not a citizen of the US even when I m a legal resident. They didn t notify before hand about that requirement.

I refinanced a vehicle with Rate Genius last month. I had a single point of contact who provided clear and concise instructions, via text and email, making the process simple and quick. And all from the comfort of my home office.

When I give a company thousands of dollars worth of business, I expect communication, especially when I've specifically asked for it. At first, this wasn't a problem. Then, they began requesting multiple requests for paperwork I'd already submitted. Request after request for feedback as to loan status went unanswered. Crickets for days on end while my due date on the old loan approached. They finally got the deal done, but not sure it was worth the headaches and repeated trips to UPS.

Quick, efficient, money saving and personable. Glad I responded.

Worked hard to get myself a great rate, but at times left me out of the loop with the lender on some matters. I worked with one rep who was diligent and stayed in contact with me. They told me that I had another rep but I could only reach her through email. The process was straight forward and I may use their services again.

After researching several companies, I stumbled across RateGenius and worked with Matt L. One word "AMAZING". Our challenge was our time zone. When I was available, Matt was ending his shift. Matt went above and beyond, not only to work within my schedule, but to find the best bank to refinance my vehicle. Professional, knowledgeable, and patient. Refinancing process was easy, quick and successful. I was able to lower my APR rate a good amount, my monthly payment a little, but most importantly add Gap coverage which I did not have before included in the savings (important due to being upside down on the car). Would recommend them.

I would not give than even 1 star. I applied twice one in May other time 2 days ago. I haven t received anything from them. I called and talk to a very annoyed customer serviced representative and he was convinced that an email was sent to me but no I haven t received it, but he was sure it was sent! The end of story, total BS!!!

Took 3 weeks and 2 days to process my refinance. They made mistakes on three sets of refinance paperwork. Resulting in more time and more interest I had to pay on my existing loan. Then after it was all done I had to give them 2 references or they would not process my refinance. Terrible company. Will never use them again.

after reading some of comments on face book i knew where they were coming from but never experienced it that way. sure we were told we had some negative equally on the vehicle and the insurance would not pay any more than car value but we weren't pushed to take the gap insurance and the process was fairly smooth and we save around $100 monthly for 48 months which is about $4800 over the loan from the other finance company. the ones who experience this were probably in to negative equally in large amounts. anyway we would recommend them. we did have someone call from an agency who must have got a referral from them about reducing our auto insurance but we could listen or reject that. so no big deal.

I would recommend them if you are in the market for a streamlined auto refinance. All necessary documents were sent electronically. The only thing I had to physically mail was the signed contract. I received a lower rate that I was satisfied with.
