Room sizes and quality was not up to expectation. Ambience and location are wonderful for South goa.

Excellent venue. Scenic beauty. Delicious food. Courteous staff. Spacious rooms. Different types of rooms are available. Worth for each penny

The location of the resort is amazing! The rooms were really good and the service was amazing as well! The food was delicious and the hospitality was very nice.

Bad service worst staff this property dose not deserve any star. But google won t allow to give zero star so here s 1

Worst 5 star room ever.
You can get better room in treebo or oyo for that matter these days .

For such a big property they do not even have convenient transport options, for one golf buggy or cart we had to tell the staff at list 5 to 6 times and after that also it arrived 20 mins later .

Please don t choose this property for your good occasions or holiday there are much nicerand value for money properties around .

Decent resort, went for a wedding. Service is slightly relaxed. It takes time for things to be done. All in all, an ok visit

We visit Goa twice a year and I can happily say that the stay at Caravela was the best so far. I have never come across such warm hospitality. From the cleaning staff (Kaval, Saniya, Deepan) to the restaurant staff - Laali and the waffle and the dosa maker, they pampered us so much. I stayed with my family for 6 nights at Caravela. Took the ocean view room. The resort is a huge property standing exquisitely on the pristine sands of Varca. Hygiene and sanitization are very much maintained and rooms cleaned thoroughly. It's a beautiful stay and location. Completely worth it.

WOW would be the first word as u step into the hotel. The premises is spick and span. The activities provided are amazing. The resort has a private beach which makes it more convenient to the guests. The resort does not give an opportunity for any guest to complain they are a perfect example for the statement "Athithi Devo bhava". All staff are very professional and handle all guests with equal importance. A lawn mower is trained to say good morning to a guest just as the manager who would do so. One of the best resort that I believe values guest as one of it's most valuable asset. Hats off to you guys and thanks for all the services provided during my stay here.

I had to check out right after 15 min. Rooms are dirty, Floor is all damaged. Completely uncleaned rooms. They have construction going on right next to front desk. they don't even bother to declare that during the booking.

The best hotel in Goa won't stay anywhere else when I'm in Goa.

I would rate this place a 3.5. The staff was great, the rooms were nice. It's right on the beach, and it's a lovely beach. I have a lot of good childhood memories from visiting the place when it was with the Renaissance hotel chain more than 15 years ago.
What I didn't like is the pool - it was too deep and the temperature was too warm and it was always crowded.
The food was very average.

- Overpriced hotel for what you actually get -certainly not a 5 star hotel; more like a 2 or 3 star.
- This hotel hosts to large groups of travellers probably as part of a tour package. This creates a very stressful environment for other guests.
-No free wifi
- Staff do not come across as competent.
- Room decor seems a bit outdated
- Overpriced food and beverage for what you receive. e.g: How about Rs. 300 for 1 glass bottle of Coca Cola?

All in all,this is certainly not a 5 star hotel and is a ripoff for a mediocre experience.

Have stayed in the resort for 2 nights and 3 days. I enjoyed the pool, beach, food, rooms and service. Pool is great band you can spend much of your time there. Food is decent. Beach is typical south goan beach. Rooms are great and service is also good. Recommended for holiday with friends and family.

Nice place to spend your holidays. It's a huge place with ample walk track, golf area, nice rooms, awesome architecture and very clean and neat private beach.

One of the best,memorable experience of staying at resort. There are no words for service, rooms are so neat and clean, systematic arrival and departure process, enjoyed private golf course classes from Deepak .impressed over the facilities and coffee shop food taste. Will recommend this property for family holidays to take lifetime experience.

Advani group has managed or is in process of renovating and recreating the experience same as was by previous owners. Infrastructure is great with big pool, gold course by beach and private beach. It puts a tick to almost everything you want from a getaway in goa.
Staff is great and trying constructively to make a connect. The only thing i have noticed are old fixtures which requires change, modeling balconies to be modern and the place is filled with management trainees.

One of the best places in South Goa to stay in. Numerous Activities in house like: Golf, Beach football, Sand Castle making classes, Swimming Pool, Table tennis, Goan cooking classes, horticulture classes and much more. I enjoyed my stay to the fullest. Spa is also really good. I stayed in the Ocean View room and trust me it's amazing. Food was also great they got a choice of 4 restaurants: The Main Buffet Restaurant, Asian Restaurant, The pool Side restaurant and the Beach shack. To be honest I only tried the buffet and the beach shack both were great. The only drawback of staying here is that it's a little heavy on the pockets, I ended up spending good Rs. 80,000 - Rs. 90,000 on a 3 Night and 4 Day trip just on the hotel. The other thing is that this place has a poor network reception, but I wouldn't consider it a bad thing since i was able to enjoy alot away from the electronic gadgets.

Awesome place and natural environment . Must visit with family or friends. Beach near this resort add extra points of beauty to resort. Love to visit again.

Caravela is a fine property, a nice beach resort, the rooms are good, the lawns are good too, the pool is pretty but no don t go there for them alone, its the people who are the best!
Firsr, the negative and then a long list of positives. Let me tell you my first interaction with them wasn t the best, Mr Ketan at Sales and Reservations and others from that team too are as duplicitous as they come. They say something, they quote something else and the reality is something else all together. So, please don t trust their sales and reservation staff and don t trust their website too. They quoted that this category of room isn t available and when my travel agent contacted them, it was readily available of course for a much steeper price. I had to book it so I did. I tried to contact Mr Ketan numerous times but he was almost always not available. The website clearly stated that if you book for more than three nights you get all three meals as part of the package. I booked for four night and the same wasn t offered to me and finally after a lot of polite cajoling because I didn t want to ruin my peace of mind, they did offer me one lunch amongst three. Terribe, but well not all people can be good in an organization. So, that s that. He tried to sell me their partial sea view rooms and they are really really partial so don t book them if you are looking to lounge in them and look at the sea. Go for the Ocean View room on the first floor without a doubt and else if you are loaded with money or have lots of people to share with, then book their sea facing villas. But, here ends the negative story.
The resort in itself appears a little dated because the building indeed is old, but its well maintained and it has the largest ceiling and lobby in whole of Goa and its a grand welcome feel on offer. Their hotel pick and drop is comfortable and I suggest everyone to avail of that service instead of hassling with taxi drivers at the airport.
The hotel is Middish Goa at a stretch where there are lot of amazing resorts. Its right between Taj Exotica and The Leela but the beach is amazing. There is almost negligible population in sight, just a couple of private shacks. So those looking for a quite nice time should definitely pick this and the beach is super clean, well maintained and the waters are warm and there are always life guards around.
The staff at the restaurant starting from the three main chefs, Mr Paul, Mr Birender and Mr Jesuraj are great and they cook some delightful food. My wife and I loved the food a real lot. Infact it was a highlight of our trip. The must try are their rose petal ice cream, gajar ka halwa, wonderful non vegetarian food and almost all good vegetarian menu for the buffet. I didnt try the ala carte but I am sure it would be equally nice.
The hostesses Lali and Titli are very friendly and despite the crowd they were ever smiling and cheerful. Young waiters such as Subir and Kartik are helpful and quick. The main restaurant space is average, but their beach shack and the sunset bar more than make up for it.
I always love interacting with the barmen and I found Mr Jeson to be someone who can make your trip an interesting one with his stories, his warm reception and his quick service. Jeson thanks for taking care of us. Prashant and Jeevraj at the Sunset beach bar are also wonderful. I urge everyone to enjoy their happy hours.
Diksha Joshi and Tanvi who are their guest relationship managers are courteous, warm and efficient. They understand your requirements, do their best to accommodate your requests and are always available for a tip or a suggestion on how to better your stay and things to do!
My exeperince was made wonderful more by the people, then by the place and at times thats what matters. I give a five star to this property, only for their people.

Caravela Beach Resort is a fine resort hotel located in Goa province of India. This resort has a large ballroom and other supporting facilities and really good for conducting a seminar, training and business gathering.

You can find sandy beach behind the hotel and I love being there, standing alone with bare foot on the sand and look far away to the edge of the horizon of an Arabian Sea and direct lead to the land called Africa.

You can hear the sound of the wave chasing one another rolling to the beach and sounds like thunder storm.
If you take a silent moment for a while and close your eyes, you can feel how strong the natural energy is.

In the evening if you want to have nice and fine dining at the outside you can ask them to arrange an outside dining on the beach. They can prepare table and chair for you and for your group.

I didn't do sport activities at all while I was visiting there but you can do light exercise by walking around the resort or along the coast line.

Good place with amazing food. I really liked the pool side and they have their own private beach which is much cleaner than most of Goan beaches.
Though, I would say that the rooms aren't that spacious.

Awesome place to stay and spent good time for relaxation. Very good good big swimming pool. Lush green huge gardens.... Safe and secure beach.

Great serene place by the beach. Perfect to slip away for some peaceful time with your near and dear ones. Hospitality was top class.

Adventure Activities/sports at beach (Fatrade beach) are also available.
You can even rent a bicycle from the hotel beach to ride along the sea shore.

Amazingly awesome, breathtaking sunset views at the beach, a must to do list at this property.

There are few local shacks also available on the same beach near the property, which one can explore (Capricorn shack is personal favorite), since any other restaurant, eating joints are bit far from the Resort. They even offer candle light dinners beside the sea shore.

Visited the second time in two weeks speaks for itself. Very able Mabel, Duty Manager was very helpful and very thoughtful of her to surprise us with a welcome back cake. The resort is anyways top class but its the staff who make it special and inviting. Special mention of Mr Dev in the lounge bar who was kept us engaged with stories and drinks Cheers! Food spread was yummy . Kids enjoyed most in the vast pool and Beach.

It's a ultimate place if you choose south Goa for your stay in GOA....great place with all facilities v good staff, good food, kids friendly ...the accessibility to the beach makes it more beautiful!! Highly recommended place...!!

Beautiful private beach! Family resort but the rooms were not as good as expected for a Ramada and the buffet was not very great.

Excellent private property with golf court. Well maintained with courteous staff. One hour drive from the airport. Credit to the house keeping head for the sparking speed. Beach is clean. Offers good complimentary breakfast. Menu card has limited options and the pricing is slightly on a higher side. But, we have ignore it for the facility and service.

Terrible service, can t fix small issues like WiFi for 3 devises and sending rude emails.
