Went here for my graduation party.

An amazing resort with lovely facilities and infrastructure. The staff were also really nice and helpful. The food was also great.

We went in the monsoon but luckily it didn't rain too much. We basically got the pool to ourselves and even got to play some beach football.

Luckily for us there was an elderly couple just down the road from the hotel that was renting out scooters so it was really easy getting around.

We travelled first time with our 10 month old baby, and it was so perfect staying at this lovely resort, restaurant manager was very much concerned about our baby food ,and made chef to make food exactly what my baby needs. Everyone in resort were having smiling faces and they all were greeting my Lil baby. Beautiful property with great service. Bedding was comfortable.Room service awesome.Private beach access.Cleanliness & tidiness great.Baby friendly resort.Only cons :which was major I think because management arranged bus for our airport drop which was not appreciated at all, as we have small baby with us, bus was not comfortable at all it was jerking so much that made my baby cranky. Else I would have given 5 star. Management should look after this matter.Took American Plan

This hotel was the equivalent of basic economy fee...

This hotel was the equivalent of basic economy fees on airline tickets. Though it advertises itself as a resort, the only thing you really get with your room charge is the room itself. Want to use the hot tub? That'll be Rs. 100 per 10 minutes per person. This is obviously trying to squeeze out the max cash they can because the hot tub will not use more energy if there are more people. Sauna and steam is also chargeable. Heck the only thing not chargeable is the complimentary water. That said, it has access to a private beach. Unfortunately, that also means that your food options are limited to the hotel or one of two shacks. We tried one (Chikita) and we absolutely would not recommend it. Not sure about the other one. The food in the hotel is good but not really authentic Goanese. The hotel may be worth it if you're not spending too much time at the hotel. As it was, our visit coincided with the taxi strike, so we were stuck in the hotel.

Abysmal quality of service and laid back crew. We were made to sit outside in the heat after getting kicked out of the cafe because apparently a table was not yet ready. But then it was allotted to a different group who came much later and no one came to us and instead laughed at our plight. On diwali night they blackmailed us all by forcing us to pay for the diwali bash and closing the beach and delaying food service if we didnt. The duplicate room key didnt work and the staff was terrible.

Absolutely loved it. Place has everything you need to relax and unwind. Walk a few steps, you are at the golf greens, walk some more you'd be at the beach with two nice shacks. Food is superb as well.

We recently stayed at Caravella in the 2 BR villa with our family.
Safety measures were taken by the staff at all times, not just during the check in.
Loved the structure itself, the huge open entrance kind of gives a super awesome airy atmosphere and a lovely ambience. The rooms were well kept neat and the view from our room was great. Staff very courteous except for a couple of them who failed to live up to the mark set by the others. Efforts put by a few namely Omkar and Rajeev at the omelette and waffle station and a few more who attended to us with cutlery etc at the buffet was wonderful, patiently attending to our needs and queries. Food was good, however, a suggestion for improvement, coming from DK, the chutney (breakfast) definitely needs to be improved, sambhar was Okay.
In general we felt, staff were doing the best to give the residents their best experience stay through their service. The gentleman at the beach entrance and exit also so very responsible. It was wonderful to see that the team Caravella was thriving to give the best for their resort!!

We totally loved the simple and courteous Ms. Chandni. She welcomed us wholeheartedly and flashed a smile whenever she saw us during our stay, she even bid us goodbye in a very warm way. So all this tiny gestures and details made our trip fantastic.

Overall nice but Centralised ac can be inconvenient at times.. also housekeeping and other room services need to be seriously looked into.. staff at restaurant is courteous enough to cater to baby needs

It's a beautiful resort with a private beech , with clean sand and clear water . The place it self offers loads of activities for children and adults. Recently visited this place on children's day and they had a celebration which was enjoyed by kids . They have superb swimming pool, the breakfast buffet is vast with multiple choices of different cusienes. The staff is warm , courteous and helpful. I met Divya, one of managerial staff at hotel.. she was super helpful and extremely courteous. I wud recommend anyone travelling to Goa, who wants serenity and peace to visit this place

Beautiful resort and location. Its right on a beautiful white sand and its private for the guests. Swimming pool is also huge and has been designed well for small kids too. Rooms are of decent size and housekeeping is excellent. Staff is very courteous and ready to help you. Food is another specialty of this resort with wide variety of menu options.
Only downside is, that its an old resort. Rooms, washrooms and hallways seems not so modern. Also they provide WiFi for only one device which was awkward in times when wifi is free at even railway stations.

Overall a great experience to stay in this resort.

Such a beautiful resort it is, they have everything in house, let's start with rooms, beautiful, spacious rooms, bathtub in bathrooms, beautiful view from balcony, sea side garden side all are available at good price, they have activity room for small kids, cooking class also is part of activity sheet, I mean they took care of all age group, food is awesome, so many varieties, good place for conferences also, hospitality is excellent, loved it, if got chance to come to Goa again, will definitely stay there, few more attractions are- pool, sea side restaurant, water activities. Amazing place, would like to thank Mr Dhananjay from reception who helped us and made our trip successful.

Amazing resort with private beach and a great pool with bar in the middle of it. We went there for an office offsite (~80 people), and it was super comfortable. Eveything was organised to the point and we had. no problem. The staff was very courteous, the food is great and the resort provides a perfect getaway for a chill vacation.

LOCATION : quiet part of Goa. Varca Beach so expect no major riff raff other than a few high class sellers trying to flog time Share on the beach! In October, the beach was quiet. The beach shacks weren't up in the post Monsoon phase, so was nice.

Activities if your into that kind of thing available.

Poolside was quiet when we were there, but can see it crowding quickly in high season. Very clean and monitored diligently by an army of pool attendants. They seemed from their banter that they were having a better time than I was. . BUT WAS Entertaining for me, but maybe not for others.

CHECK IN : Disorienting and confusing. They tried to make it comfortable away from that desk, but for me it was too little information and left hanging around.

They do push hard to buy dinner coupons which are GOOD VALUE and would Recommend to get some, but they should have it undated to allow the guest the luxury and changing their minds. After all we on HOLIDAY after all. It is meant to be a 5 Star hotel guys, not a Club Tropicana resort.

Would've just preferred to check in as normal and know what the hell is going on.

FOOD : Awesome breakfast buffet make the most it's GREAT! They have a wide gastronomic selection. Nearly all tastes catered. If you can't find anything, you will be in the real minority. Can get busy so make sure you give enough time for the food.
DINNER buffet is mainly Indian, so not to everyone in the groups liking but there is always the A La Carter. I enjoyed the food.

Waiters are very attentive and helpful.

Rooms: Very good room service. So good they delivered beers which I hadn't ordered! That was a nice surprise for me but not the actual guys down the corridor who were waiting for the beer. have to admit very helpful crew on the rooms, efficient and timely. One of the best in my travels.

Room amenities were on par and worked well. Especially the air conditioning! Beds comfortable. So made for nice sleep, until the morning.

The corridor noise is definitely one to watch out for as the noise transmits through the rooms making mornings noisy. Seemed to lack noise dampeners.. felt like a Motel e.g. Premier Inn

Bathroom in my room was rather tired and needed much desperate repairs and do over. For a 5 Star hotel, far too poor and needs urgent addressing. Personally felt like a student accommodation.

OVER ALL: pleasant stay if take into account the short comings, but if you thinking this is 5 Star.. consider otherwise... If considering a good Goa trip with some compromise.. enjoy the food, the location and all the holiday spirit compromises that makes a trip to Goa always fun. Did I say the food is GOOD?

Location: located on beautiful white sand beach stretch of southern Goa.

Property & Amenities:
its a huge property with the private white sand beach. Swimming pool is huge with kids pool & has a bar offers some great Goan mocktails. Rooms are descent size too (my stay was in deluxe & size is fair enough to accommodate a single family with kids). Resort has a nine hole golf court (this is the 2nd largest in South Goa {as per my knowledge} after Lalit Continental). Resort has good number of activities & play area to occupy your little ones. As per my knowledge its 1st resort who started Casino in South Goa (though it is close due to some govt tax hikes).

Food :
The hotel has a descent choices in buffet breakfast (Indian & Italian). In A-La-Kart choices are there but it took lots of time. We had waited atleast 45 minutes for our order.

Over all its a wonderful experience & Hotel staff was good & helpful (they know how hospitality industry works). If one is planning for southern Goa my suggestion is to surely give a try to Caravela Beach Resort...!!!

One of the few hotels with a golf course in Goa.

One of the few hotels with a golf course in Goa.

The lobby is quite fancy although it can get hot in the afternoon as there is no AC. The new wing rooms are clean & well maintained with a partial sea view. Swimming pool has a good depth & the hotel also hosts a jacuzzi & many other facilities.

Breakfast was very crowded, kudos to the staff for being able to serve so many guests without any notable issues.

Having booked on the basis of good reviews on internet, we were disappointed by the poor service and don t care attitude of the staff. The buffets were mismanaged and the ala-carte service had longest wait time. Even room service had long delays.
On plus side, the property is beautiful with access to good private beach

Beautiful beautiful resort. A great beach which is lovely to visit during the mornings. The morning breakfast is mayhem because of the crowds and the food is over priced for the quality hence a one star reduction but the resort itself and its beach is worth it.

Good

While the property is well maintained and absolute...

While the property is well maintained and absolutely stunning and gorgeous, the service leaves a LOT to be desired. Most servers and other employees are rude and non committal in providing any decent service. Our 3 night stay was completely marred by lack of dedication shown by most employees who either ignored our requests or made us feel completely unwanted and unvalued as guests. Had it just been my family of 3, the hotel might have said that it was just my prejudice in feeling this way. However, we were a group of 8 adults and 3 kids, occupying 4 rooms in total and each and every single one of us were beyond disappointed. Of course, a few friendly employees did help in making an otherwise abysmal 3 days of service better. Small things like not being offered a welcome drink on arrival, refusing a 7 months pregnant lady holding a toddler a seat saying " we have no chairs" while reserving tables for others, refusing the use of golf cart in the pouring rain and not even placing plates on your table for 25 mins after placing order, then saying that " You need to wait, things are being prepared etc" just left a very bad taste in our mouths. Four different families were very saddened by this kind of consistent behaviour. Although I would recommend the property for its serenity and beauty, I would absolutely not want to send anyone here for a stay due to the service we encountered.
