My family and I had dinner here. I ordered the quinoa pasta with veggies and it was good. My 2 1/2 years old great nephew was all excited looking and listening at all the animals. Good place to visit if you have kids. :)

Waiter only came to our table twice (drink order, food order) then about 45 minutes later we saw him LEAVING. Never introduced a second waiter and we watched all of the tables surrounding ours that came in staggered from 30 minutes to an hour all get their food before us! Our appetizer took 20 minutes and our food didn't come out for another HOUR after that. Super disappointed this time.

Very long wait for seating. Drink was made wrong at bar. Food was delivered to the wrong table after another long wait. Server very unattentive. Food was good but not worth our wait and money. Enjoy the scenery and the gift shop. Items priced high for a name, but understandable. Build-a-bear station in gift shop and ride available for families with picture option.

My wife and I attended this Rainforest Cafe mid-August on a Monday, and found the place to be moderately busy but not hectic or rushed like expected. We were greeted quickly by our waiter, Dmitri, and ordered both signature drinks in souvenir cups as well as Coke (even though my wife is a Pepsi-purist). She had the Portofino Pasta, I had the BBQ Bacon Cheesburger. Oh my goodness, the food would've been worth the wait if it hadn't come so quickly! The Portofino smelled delicious right away, topping my wife's "meals this trip" list. My burger was great, exactly medium-well, and had amazing bbq sauce on it. Skip the ride, it isn't really worth the admission. The atmosphere of the restaurant is excellent, Landry's has mastered theme restaurants. Remember you're going in for the atmosphere, not for world-class cuisine. That being said, it was still great. The only issue was the price, but the price for a one-time trip was alright.

Our very first time to eat at this restaurant and it was not a pleasant experience. We were not greeted with a smile or a welcome to the rainforest cafe, she just asked how many. The hostess looked as if she hated her job. We were quickly seated. The waitress also seemed to be in a slump as if she didn't like her job, no smile and didn't seem very friendly. None of the staff seemed like they liked their job or as if they wanted to be there, not one of them were smiling. They sang the birthday song to a young man but there was no excitement in it. The food was delicious. A pleasant experience starts with the staff and your staff should enjoy their job, not walk around like they just lost their phone or were grounded. The restaurant was clean, aquariums were beautiful, and the storms were a neat experience. The ride was down for maintenance.

My favorite restaurant is Rainforest Cafe. I ate there in Houston, Texas and Orlando, Florida. There are decorations with many wild animals and it looks like a rain forest. They serve soups, salads, pasta, burgers, and chicken. The price is a bit expensive. For example, a hamburger costs $ 20. Families with children go there.

I thought it was a very decent restaurant. The waiter was very kind and patient with us. And the food was delicious. Although, I didn't think it was that good to be very overpriced. Another downside is that its a very lengthy wait all around. It's not a horrible place, but I wouldn't suggest going if you do not have patience.

The grandkids loved it. I think it's interesting but way too loud for me. Not so much in the dining area which was just busy loud but in the "sales" area they were pumping in music at such a loud volume we couldn't hear each other speak. It was very annoying to me. I did enjoy the adventure ride and the volcano...although kind of charming was a bit a disappointment. Even the kiddos were like...that's all? LoL. Overall it's a very touristy destination and it must work because the place was packed to overflowing. I suggest making a reservation.

Absolutely awesome place! One of the best experiences I've had, the ambiant noise like birds was a little too loud for me. The food was amazing, waiter was very charismatic, and just everything was so cool! Also a wonderful place for children.

We didn't go for the food; we actually went for the Build-A-Bear/adventure. It was nice! The employees were outstanding! When my kids needed help, someone was always close by to help them. Their little questions were answered. Although they don't do the BAB (Build-A-Bear) events like actual stores, it's still worth every ounce of the experience! We WILL be back!

Great place to take the kids if you're visiting Galveston. A bar to the side for adults. BTW! That's where you will find the bathrooms. Every 30 mins the jungle animals activate and come alive to a frenzy of excitement. If you don't mind noise and crowds, this is a great place to visit. The prices are no different than any other restaurant on the beach, so prepare to pay a little extra. (*** Quick Tip*** Before you go, join Landry's Select Club) Appetizers, Full menu, kids menu. Try their signature "Volcano" for dessert. Pick up a souvenir, look at the built-in aquarium, build a bear, press a penny. After your meal head out front to feel the ocean breeze, watch the volcano erupt, go on a ride, get your picture drawn, or dance. A must-see at least once. Great for the family. Never boring! 5 stars!
