I rate a 4 just because the managers never seem to come up to our table yet everyone else's around. I was going to compliment my server today. Instead watched as the manager walked around avoiding my table. Food is over priced doesnt match the quality of the food. Food is over cooked or not at all in the middle. My kids love this place. Especially the lil ride. So we come just for ride mostly but I try to knock the food just because the environment is awesome i tried almost everything on the menu now..still the same. I rate it 8 out of 10. (THE FOOD) and service is always on point.

It was a 2 hour wait the waitress got our order wrong twice. She actually asked if we would pay for the correction on the side dish since she had already corrected the main dish. We told her no! The dish came with 2 sides and only one was brought out. I Witnessed the person cleaning the bathroom without gloves nor washing hands running food orders!

This is a fun place to eat. I stopped in because a local recommended it to me. They have live fish and lots on animatronic animals around the rainforest. I also really enjoyed the "thunderstorm" every half hour.

Always a good time. Love the whole experience. Only one complaint, as we were sitting down and ordering our drinks, a bus boy who was clearing a nearby empty 8 top began SLAMMING silverware into the bin so hard we couldn't hear the waiter!! I understand bussing tables sucks and all, but have a little decency.

My son loves this place. The river ride is always an enjoyable experience. The decor is somewhat dingy, but still fun. The food was actually better than what I've had in the past from here as well, and the waitress was very sweet to my son. It's almost two hours to get there for us, and my son doesn't like long car rides, but even for him it was well worth the trip, even if we only make it once a year. Definitely worth it just for the location and the river ride! Would recommend.

This is an amazing place for adults and children. The animatronics throughout the cafe and river are incredible. The staff are courteous and the entire eating experience is well worth it. The meals are a little pricier normal but you get a lot of food with great entertainment.

Sweaty

Sweaty
Delirious
A taste for revenge
I awake
Not remembering how I got here, I pick myself up out of the mud
A roar in the distance
A hunter
He's close
It's time for his next meal and he can smell the fear from miles away
There's only minutes to plot your next move
A splash
There's water
It's a stream, moving slowly to safety or maybe inevitable death
You keep a low profile while racing towards it
Stop
You feel something pull you back
A snake
No
It's worse
A gorilla
Angst in his eyes
He grunts softly, as if he's trying to communicate stealthily
You look back
There's a crocodile in the water
The gorilla saved your life
You are forever in debt
An aroma lingers in the distance
It's a home cooked meal
It's been months
Maybe years
Memories rush through your head
Enough
Time to move forward
You're on a mission
You lunge towards a tree
Swing from the branches
Your inner primate is unleashed
The roar approaches
This time accompanied by vigorous paws, racing to your carcass
You swing faster
Will you escape or will you surrender
A roar
It's deafening
You tremble
You can't look back
This is it
A roar
He's closer
Now or never
You must think quick
A roar
You feel the winds of the creature upon you
All hope is lost
A light
You're almost there
A roar
It's muffled under noise
A noise you're approaching
Finally
You've reached civilization
A voice
It's human
You're almost there
A roar
It's right behind you
Your exhausted being is about to give out
But then
It stops
"Would you like your picture taken?"
The ride is over
Man what a waste of ten bucks

A cool atmosphere for kids with extremely mediocre, overpriced food!

I went with a friend and got his 50% off employee discount since he worked for another Landrys location at the time. Even with half off I still felt ripped off. I got a plate with a small steak, a few ribs, and some shrimp. The steak was terrible and one of the worst steaks I have had in awhile, the ribs were beyond mediocre, and the shrimp was standard shrimp.

Basically you get extremely mediocre food with a cool atmosphere for about 10 min, if you have kids then feel free to try it, if you want good food please go anywhere else.

The reviews about wait time are so true. After the crazy long time to get seated when there were clearly empty tables, we waited over 30 min for the just drinks to arrive to the table. Food, take out boxes and check were just as crazy in wait times. The mangers just said that is how they do it and they ey could not change anything.

Very disappointed!!! We went here as a treat for our four year old daughter. I wasn't happy to wait for 2 hours thankfully they do have shopping and a ride to keep kids occupied. We get seated my husband and I order an appetizer we get our appetizer and find a black hair in the gaucomole. We find a female manager she takes the plate and says she will make sure the people in the kitchen have hair nets on correctly. Luckily we had already notified our waiter who was FANTASTIC. Our waiter brought the lead manager who took the appetizer off the bill and gave a complimentary Volcano dessert. Happy with the service we received, but completely discussed about the food preparation. Probably will not be going back anytime soon.

We had a large party (17 people) with eight (8) kids. The service was fantastic! Micheal, John, and Dimitri took care of getting our table set up and the food served. Everyone enjoyed their meals. I can't compliment the staff enough, especially John who dealt the most with the children.

Food was very bland ordered a $26 island meal with fish and scallops. Coconut shrimp and it was just very small portions. Scallops were very small and not good. I was very disappointed. I will not be going back to rainforest and I live on the island.

Limited menu was a disappointment, but hey it's 2020 and I get it. What I don't get is how I order the trio if ribs steak and coconut shrimp and it comes out cold, steak wasn't seasoned at all and I seem to have received the two end caps from a rack of ribs. My Wife and Daughter got the Korean stir fry seasoned ok according to them, my mother got the Corn Chowder she seemed to enjoy it.

3 stars because my kids loved it, for me it was a 1 1/2 star. SInce this is a restaurant for kids they got they kid rating. Just keep telling yourself "It's for the kids" There is no reason to be here without kids. The waiting area is HUGE, but it is a gift shop where the kids will beg you to buy them something. While the food is overpriced it is pretty good. There is a bar, I suggest you buy a drink or ten, it will make the evening more enjoyable for you. I got the "Coronarita" a frozen margarita with a Corona turned upside down in it, it's a silly drink, but I enjoyed it.

We waited an hour on a weeknight for a table. After we ordered our food, we waited another hour to get it. My soup was cold. The food was mediocre but the price was tremendous! A strawberry daiquiri was $20.00! It was a once in a lifetime moment, because we will never go there again!

Great family fun, even though we are in our fifties, we throughly enjoyed ourselves, both on a trip through the rainforest and in the restaurant, everything was reasonably priced and friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Will not be visiting again!

We're in town attending a convention and stopped in at Rainforest Cafe for lunch. It was my first time going, and my wife hadn't been to one in years. I was impressed with the food, but I was most impressed with the service. Luis was our server and he did a phenomenal job taking care of us. He's the first server at any restaurant we've been to in a very long time that brought us extra napkins without having to beg for them, and consistently checked on us and made sure our drinks were full. He was genuine and friendly, which is hard to find in service anymore. It was the great start we needed to kick off our vacation.

End of February 2021. The bar staff is horrible, I went with my boyfriend and our friends to celebrate his birthday week since he loved this place as a kid, but the bartenders were rude, negligent and didn t do a good job. I understand this is a place for kids, but then why have a bar with workers that don t even know how to talk to people or even smile?I told the bartender so they could do something but all I got was a hmm no, we don t do anything for birthdays . Minutes later they told the costumers right next to us it was for free and did a whole thing for them. Also, one of our friends was really tired because of the long drive here and one of the bartenders came and touch him to wake him up, slapped the counter and said you can t be sleeping at the bar , then called the manager who stared at us for a few seconds like if we were crazy, and minutes later the bartenders were just staring at us and talking about us, which made us feel uncomfortable. I had a terrible experience and I m not happy for that since we paid over $100 for a show we couldn t experience since the wait was 2 hours and we had to sit at the bar, plus the tip for these terrible bartenders. Even though we still tipped the bartender the 15%, If there was an option for 0 stars, I d give it to these terrible ladies. I do not recommend this place, the regular drinks are too expensive and we never even got a refill, plus the food is not worth the price.
