Rail City Casino Reviews

While the casino and buffett were satisfactory, the restrooms were disgusting. The women's bathroom smelled worse than an outhouse. My husband said the men's smelled the same. It almost made me sick to my stomach. It would be a decent casino if the restrooms didn't smell so bad. If you go, make sure you "go" before you go, hold it, or go outside and find a corner to "go."

You cant go wrong with $3.99 breakfast that actually fills you up!!

Good atmosphere, great sraff, tight machines. Doesnt seem like they pay out like the others. Too bad.

I won this morning, lost some tonight. Won some last hour. Gonna go home now. I'll be back later.

Food was not very good, slots were awful, been there a few times but this time around was an epic fail!

I'd rather go here than to the casinos in downtown Reno. Though that being said they do need to upgrade this place cosmetically. As someone born and raised here my whole life it's showing its age I feel like. The buffet is awesome it's the only reason I go. It's about $11-12 for the buffet all you can eat per person. And it's smaller so you don't have to wander through the big casinos in Reno and there's not as much people or stale smoke in my opinion.

Don't really get good service there. No cocktail server. Don't bother them they dont bother you.

If you go between 4am and 6am, you are less likely to be smoke bombed. Their air filtering system is non existent. But still a fun place to go, even at that hour

The place is ok it needs more poker machines and better cocktail service. The food could be better same with the service

Just visited 2-13-16. the "NEW" buffet is the same old stuff now spread out to make it look bigger. we used to take our kids there because they HAD a great selection for kids..... now no kids menu, what a rip. so we decided to order grilled cheese for our kiddos... another waste the bread was just crisped and the cheese BARELY melted, my wife and i had the "sirloin" steak dinner, and me as a chef could tell right away that it wasn't sirloin. it had a line of gristle through the center of it. If you know your steak you know sirloin has a single layer of very flavorful fat. (which can be removed with ease) the baked potato looked like a raisin but was under cooked. the vegetables were crisp but looked like they had been boiled 20 mins too long. The whole atmosphere was less than appealing, and even a few employees (leaving there names out due to respect) are dissatisfied with the new changes. we have been going here quite some time knowing it is a LOCAL scene and now it feels way to mainstream.

This is cool place best breakfast buffet fried chicken is to die for. Awesome Keno lounge, pays well on the table and at the slots. One of my favorites. Try taco Tuesday safe and secure parking and casino floor.

A group of six of us went to Rail City for some lunch and some gambling. The restaurant didn't open until three o'clock. Needless to say, we went to the Call-in Neva. Won't be going back to Rail City again!

Very smoky...Smells like cigarettes or crack but burns the eyes...Not bad if u want to chill

As one of the original casinos in Reno/Sparks area. I have found Rail City, convenient, safe, clean and entertaining. Although the element of underhanded, dastardly, criminals is everywhere. I'm safe in the Rail! The management sets the precedent, unlike other casinos, by being available and making time for you to me. And no question is stupid. Believe me, I've asked one or two and they've taken the time to answer me.
So, alone, or with a friend, take a spin to Rail City. A small spot, with personal respect.

I mostly have lost and its sketchy. Apathetic to begrudged staff.

Great. Service. Nice staff. Wished I had a couple of coins just to pay homage to my dad and maybe buy a bench that anyone could rest and talk to Father or Mothers faith Dad I would give you a tree for shade and cover from the Sandstorm, the RAIN that comes with tears, just to give Annabell, Glynis & Billy, the Karps and those Deer, dear family's that sometimes enjoy and miss, those dreams that were already shared but not believed. Not one of us , those things that grow inside and die , but thats growth and RAIL CITY is a one armed bandet that LOVES To EXPRESS in her on little way by having a good slice of pie, people are awesome in a way, a constant wave upon a wave and like I do believe that Thunder rocked me back to center, but also made me remember and made my butt get out there and walk to - let the music in your life no matter what it is walking through a casino playing Russian roulette, or chasing the dragon who's scared of a snake damn that one arm bandit he never learned I shoot from the hip and I hold all six of those two I guess you can guess which one is it a 38 or 45, love what passion you feel with the hands fire of faith in something sometimes you never see...thank you MOUNTAIN EXPRESS 4 by rollers and the gifts this town gives, up or downtown I enjoyed a memory with my dad and him kicking their rears TOO...and his small bounty of fortune at this casino.GOOD LUCK I wish everyone good fortune, health and happiness too...

There is no dress code. Two restaurants and parking is free.

Ive been going to rail city sence i was 21 now pushing 46 these last two years you guys had been a dive everything has change your machines are tighter your new restraunt sucks. The staff in the ale house is horible i seen the the waitres and cook laugh and made fun of a un happy customer. Now i know why people are starting to go to western village.your new point system sucks. You guys are cutting corners your security are idiots there rude and dont do there jobs.when there a person sitting outside in front of your building you tell them to leave but when sombofy gets robb in front of your casino you guys dont do nothing i will put the word out that you guys are bad casino people if you want good food happy and friendly staff and wining machines western village is way better to go

Good thing I got a free buffet, not worth paying for. Only good thing was prime rib and bread pudding.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Great food, good selection of games. If you aren't already a club member, I highly recommend you consider it! I can not RAVE ENOUGH!!

For a cheap buffet that fed a family of 4 for $37 it was good. We went on a Saturday night and they had steak and prime rib. The selection was not great but it was not bad for the price. If we are ever passing through again we will stop again because of the price and nothing more. If you are expecting a huge spread of food and yummy gourmet then skip it.

The buffet for Christmas was cheaper compare to the other buffets in town . I had the prime rib which was decent . The kids enjoyed it. N

Went there to play free play with a friend an ate in their restaurant the food was absolutely marvelous an inexpensive.

The waitress waitresses are friendly and they come around often enough if you tip them reasonably well you can keep your glass full and in general and had a little bit of luck gambling there which was pleasant and of course just the luck of the draw. I've gone back a few times and I like the place it's big enough to find enough machines to entertain me and small enough that I don't get lost

Well the people at rail City are generally nice and helpful the service is decent but their slots could loosen up a lot

If I could give this place less than one star I would. Good luck getting a drink you can sit there and wait for 5-6 hours and never get anything to drink, the cocktail waitresses will just look at you and walk by and keep on going. And as far as the other staff they're all rude.
