Radisson SAS Plaza Hotel Review

A hotel very well located and easily accessible from the train station as from the bus station. Also from the subway station.
Of all the hotels I've been to in Norway, this has been the slowest at check-in, the room seems dated, with its bathtub. But the rest is very good.
Your breakfast is very good, has all kinds of diets, a variety of products.
Its amenities are very good, they are of great quality.
The reception has many details.

The hotel is impossible not to find for even the most messy Japanese. If you arrive at Oslo via public transport, then you see hotel Plata (if you do not sleep then). Great tall building, with a full glass bottle. But as most hotels are in the summer holidays, it is well the same which hotel, but its location is right in relation to the holiday activities. Excellent food and service. High quality all round.

The hotel is usually crowded and the wait for the elevator is endless but that is somewhat except able. What isn't is the area that it is located, right next to the train station which usually means it is full of shady people asking for money, cigarettes or offering drugs. Setting that aside the room are nice and clean and the staff is very polite and helpful.

Gym and swimming pool are jokes, the place itself is ok

The rooms are nice and the building has a great view. The elevators are a little slow.

Room spacious and clean, but dull. Good breakfast spread. Corridor carpets stained and appear unkempt. Front desk service? Hmm... :-(

Great conference facilities. Had one of many full day meetings at Plaza. The conference room had everything we needed, a bit cold since the ventilation were running quite hard. Great lunch. Nice staff!

Good hotel, good service, but a little trouble filling up enough food at breakfast at full hotel.

Lazy service...tiny rooms...very high priced...comfortable though.

Immaculate, luxurious, modern, everything is new. Even the elevator also uses the search system. The master bedroom is fully equipped.

Was refurbished when I visited the place. My colleagues who lived there were very happy. Top location.

The room is great with all the modern amenities you need. Gourmet coffee. Nice toiletries. Great view on the 25th floor. Only complaint is the toilet doesn't seem to fully flush ever so it has a slight smell. We just always close the bathroom door.

Probably the best hotel in Oslo. Very nice breakfast. Confy beds and spacious rooms. Toiletries are also nice.

Very good hotel. Rooms are fine and the breakfast buffet is very good. The location is ideal if you want to do something in the city. Only drawback is parking. This is only possible under the hotel and costs 28 per night (280Dk).

No elevators unfortunately. Great junior suite without any clearing or refilling of clean glass / cups / nespresso capsules ila long weekend despite requesting it by day, Saturday. Booked breakfast in the room until Sunday through reception. It did not show up at the agreed time. After 20 minutes of waiting we went to the breakfast room and said of course about the system failure.
After using the bath towel for 4.and the last time before returning home, used the Nespresso machine for a lungo / espresso only once, washed on glass and cups before reuse we think that the well over 7000 kr we used on the suite, we could rather used one elsewhere where service was in proportion.

Very good rooms, breakfast was great and service was exquisite!

Nice newly refurbished rooms. TV now has Chromecast support and there are usb outlets by the bed.stayed at a business room where in room breakfast was included, otherwise the breakfast buffet at floor 2 was excellent as well. Room had a mini couch with room for 3 and a recliner.

It has a beautiful sky bar, definitely an awesome date spot.

It's a dated hotel and so the score is a little 80s but very nice. I didn't like the ginger smell of the soap, there were not chargers by the head of the bed and some sockets didn't work but otherwise it's was lovely!

This is the second time ive stayed here. Loved it both times. Nice rooms. The best pull out bed. Places to put cases in room. Nice breakfasts that arent to busy. Close to shops in the train station. Near the best place to get ice cream. By the train station and bus station. Best bath. Would stay again any time. Any dislike was one of the waitresses at breakfast was incredibly rude. Wish i had her name. Was so rude i wish she was fired.

If you get a good price it's still a great hotel, nice rooms, good breakfast. And one of the best hotel views in this country.

Central, clean room, nice staff and good breakfast.

Great location, the reception staff is very helpful, the room was quite spacious with a nice view and there was an Easter bunny that made my son's day.
The only things that we didn't like was that:
1) despite the fact that the bed was done and the bathroom was cleaned up every day, the floor of the room was not clean. Honestly, it was dusty and since our 2 year old likes to walk in his socks in the room they were turning white and, there was a piece of potato crisp next to the bed from the day we got there until the day we left (and it wasn't ours).
2) our souvenir ship from the kon tiki museum was thrown away by the steward. Surely it wasn't something expensive, but it was a great disappointment.

Clean, nicely designed rooms with decent cityscape views. I'd personally have prefer a small fridge rather than a pressure sensitive minibar though.

Breakfast is excellent.

Good room, good breakfast and excellent location. The fitness room could have had an overhaul, at least in terms of strength training. Fortunately, SATS is just across the street!

Good room, good service, very good breakfast, but lacks a mirror and omelette without having to order it. Good facilities and good location and central to most things. Very stupid that the restaurant at the top is closed Sunday and Monday - it was disappointing!

Great Hotel, central and well connected to transport services.
Obviously, it is priced as all of Norway.

Stayed here on my first visit to Oslo and have since had a chance to see the city at night from the 34th floor. Fine hotel, with great location particularly with regards to being downtown and access to transport. With the lack of too many tall buildings and the relatively flat surrounds, it's an incredible view from the top of the building, even if the long winter nights mean that there's not actually a whole lot to be seen.

Modern and comfortable hotel glued to the central station and the city center. Highly recommended. Fast and level services. Varied breakfast. From the bar on the 34th floor the view is remarkable

Large hotel with indifferent staff. Room amenities not replenished unless asked for and then wait an hour. Housekeeping needs a thorough review to even get it to a one star level.

Very nice hotel that is close to the Oslo City Center. Their rooms are decent size and thoroughly upgraded to latest specs. Whole hotel is neat and tidy, staff are amazing.

Go for the breakfast included option, their spread is good and will keep you going for a while. We left early one morning and they packed a breakfast for us, that is really amazing service.

Will definitely stay here again!

Great service. Gentle, friendly people at the reception and in the dining room. The door in our room was noisy, and we got an upgraded room right away. Great.

It's close to the transportation system. If you are tired from the trips. You come here and rest. The location is also great. The breakfast is 7.8/10 for me ( they has good salmon and fresh orange juice in the line).

The service staff lacked ownership and were not customer centric. It was such an emotionally draining and frustrating stay!

We faced a very big huddle trying to get the hotel staff to receive our delivery package. It was very important to us because it contained my hubby s company laptop and we were flying home the next day. The hotel staff provided wrong and inconsistent information which resulted in the hotel rejecting the package the first time round. Subsequently, we had to communicate the same request to different service staff and via different means (face to face and email) but nobody bothered to record the request down. We had to repeat the story over again to the different staff. Nobody seemed to know what was going on and sent us on a wild goose chase and made us check back with the service staff repeatedly. It was very frustrating as we checked in late at night and was leaving the very next day to catch our flight.

To make matters worse, the service staff called us at 7.30am the next day to ask if we have checked out when we haven t. We were woken up from our sleep when we had a late night and was simply told to go back to sleep after they realised that they have made a mistake.

The repeated nonchalant attitude and lack of consideration for customers made the whole experience stressful despite the very short duration we stayed in the hotel. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone!

Awesome Hotel! Very nice rooms with beautiful views over the city. Gym and pool are on the top 37th floor! Only bathroom is a bit cramped, but otherwise very cool, friendly staff and perfect location in the center of the city

Stayed for one night. Everything was fine. Nice view, clean room but a little tired. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice breakfast!

Expensive hotel with no interest in ... 550 rooms. Good rooms, poor service and a sloppy housekeeping, not to mention the carpets in the corridors that are totally stained and probably never cleaned.
An often endless wait for many elevators but ... not enough.

Can't comment on the rooms, I was there for a small conference. It was clean, comfortable, with good service and good signing. The food was simple but tight and well organised.

Staff was very nice and the rooms are great. Location is close to shopping and restaurants. Concierge can help with suggestions of sight seeing and dining.

I really enjoyed my stay at Plaza Hotel. Among the hotels in Oslo this is the best I would say. The room had flooring, not carpet which makes it cleaner, the bed was comfortable and the room had a nice view over the city. Staff were helpful and friendly. A pity that the 34th floor restaurant was closed on Sunday, however, the bar was open and that was a good place to get a view over Oslo.

Great location, good hotel, great breakfast and smiling polite waitresses. Housekeeping was minus in behavior, check in was very good. When we got into the room and ordered something we were missing. Housekeeping was so sour, she also forgot one thing we asked about, when she came back again she knocked on the door and I sat in an important phone. I just asked her to come in, the only thing she did was open the door with a little gap and throw the thing on the floor and melt the door after her. After that I sent Mail about what happened, then got phone after 15 minutes from reception and complained. The receptionist was very wonderful and took this right away. Without further ado we got cake in the room. Was really nice. But such behavior of housekeeping was very rude ... Hope no one experiences the same. The hotel itself is amazing
