The conference room was beautiful and the service ...
The conference room was beautiful and the service very professional.
The conference room was beautiful and the service very professional.
Good location for our purposes, checkin had some snags but were quickly worked out, parking somewhat of an issue with lot being full (lol). Room was excellent, well appointed, bathroom was beautiful plus complementary coffee! We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Restaurant was clean and food was acceptable. Hotel and parking lot was pretty busy for noon on a Wednesday.
Went here for a corporate challenge event. Food was a little pricy, but nice facilities.
Decent price, clean and modern hotel, friendly staff, lots of facilites, happy with the stay.
Room was clean, good service. Lounge was due for a renovation
Attached a wedding at the ballroom. In terms of goal service, the chefs and good staff were very nice and welcoming. The layout of the tables were well done and place was clean. The outside looked a bit older but inside was nice. The using lot has a word curb with a corner sticking out which dented the car. Although the driver could do their part it was unexpected
The lunch buffet was quite good and an excellent price.
Attended a function in one of the ballrooms, was a lot of fun, very nice location, good food.
Had a surprise charge on my charge for 3 extra days when I wasn't even in the city. Still in dispute with credit card. Will update rating pending the outcome.
Will never be back to this hotel, there was a guy named Ahmed who has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. He couldn t understand a word I was saying, mistook me saying I will come SPEAK to you to your face as I will spit in your face and threatened to call the cops while yelling at me on the phone? They need people who can speak and understand English. Not some foreigners with no customer service experience. He is giving this brand a bad name and I feel sorry for the people who hired him. NEVER WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE DISRESPECTED BY A MAN WHO DOESNT EVEN UNDERSTAND ENGLISH.
Hotel has been renovated, but the internals are the old holiday Inn. No heat in my room. Called 4 Times an no action. Will Never stay there again.
Clean room, comfy bed, friendly staff. Quiet space. Hotel itself seems a little off the path, but is close to several convention type areas, downtown and Whyte Ave still easily accessible.
Clean and beautiful rooms for under CAD 120 a night. The only problem is the restraunt is small and does not offer much.
Friendly and caring staff. Got room upgrade and complimentary drinks. oh and in-room dining tasted so good.
Attention to all brides out there: DO NOT USE THIS HOTEL FOR YOUR WEDDING. Myself and my fiancee are both fairly laid-back professional people. We rarely complain about things and are quite easy to please. That is why you can trust that my review is based on the truth!
We started looking for a venue for our September 2015 wedding in July of this year. Throughout my conversations with this hotel I spoke to at least 5 different event coordinators. Every time I called, the previous person had quit and a new person was in the role. This meant that the service was very inconsistent and not trustworthy at all!
However, we finally met with Maggie and she, by making several promises, convinced us to book our wedding with them. At that time we completed a contract which was explained to us as being ONLY for the rental of the ballroom. She explained that the arrangements for food, guest rooms etc. would be made closer to the actual event. She also promised us that, because we were booking so early, she would guarantee the 2014 rates for our menu and that she would give us a complimentary guest room on the night of the wedding. We paid a $1000 deposit and left happy, thinking everything was good.
Now the nightmare starts!!
A couple of days ago I was booking linen rentals etc. for our big day. I wanted to find out when we would be able to decorate the space so I emailed Maggie to find out. To my dismay, my email was answered by yet another person who was now the event coordinator (by now the 5th or 6th one we had dealt with). This woman, named Sami, was very difficult and rude to deal with from the beginning. Since a new person was now handling our wedding I listed the promises that Maggie had made to us to confirm that they were still part of the deal. Sami, in a very condescending manner, kept saying that if it wasn't in the contract it didn't exists. I kept trying to tell her that Maggie had explained the original contract was ONLY for the rental of the ballroom and that other details would be added later. She would not listen to a word I said. She then advised that they would not honour the 2014 menu prices and that we would not recieve a complimentary room on the night of the wedding. When we asked to speak to her manager she refused. She was very difficult to deal with and, obviously, did not care about our wedding or keeping our business.
Of course, by now I have made many deposits and plans surrounding that particular wedding date. For this reason, I was very reasonable with Sami and accepted the changes she made to the original agreement we had with Maggie.
So imagine my shock and horror when I recieved an email today saying that they were cancelling our wedding because we had no contract and we were too difficult to deal with. (Funny how suddenly there is no contract, when every argument Sami made was regarding the contract we had with Maggie). I can also assure you that I was not difficult to deal with. In fact, I have the entire string of emails between myself and Sami that show I was completely professional and polite the entire time!
My wedding date is now 10 months away and I have no venue because of the despicable customer service at this hotel. DO NOT BOOK YOUR WEDDING HERE! No bride deserves to be put through stress like this!!
Everything very dark.. had to use flashlight in washroom. Food average at best. All Staff do not speak english.. Very hard to communicate.
Also should note layout of the tables was very bad. Could not move.
Gorgeous venue with excellent catering. Perfect for weddings or business events.
This is a clean hotel, staff are very friendly, and great location.
Best brunch in the city. We take our mother for mother's day every year and are never let down.
Was there for a presentation. Everything was professional and top quality and service.
This location is always great. Clean rooms, comfy beds, friendly staff!
A pleasant place to lay your head for the night, but doesn't go far beyond that in terms of service, comfort, or any other criteria of more luxurious hotels. Not great or excellent - just a nice place to stay.
I booked through Expedia (who said price included breakfast) and hotel said it wasn't included when booked via them. So this was frustrating a because I all previous stays (booked a directly a with the hotel)) had included breakfast). However, the hotel staff was very friendly and understood and in the end provided complementary breakfast for the duration of our 3 day stay thus resolving the issue. It was very much appreciated. Breakfast is really good and even only $10 if paid for.
Pool is great, steam room ok, and fitness room very limited (one machine of each type). Rooms had fridge and microwave which was nice.
The room itself was a bit run down compared to previous stay from 6 months earlier and previous years. Rugs were stained and had ripples all over. The bathtub drain was broken and the shower head was separating from the wall.
The cleaning staff was very slow in doing the room. Returned to room at 5pm each day and room was still not ready.
I think the reason for all this was that when booking through Expedia, you are put into the older rooms. I was told by the front desk next time to book direct and ask for the West Wing. I feel if I do so things will go much better.
The room was awesome and clean; the staff left extra coffee and cream like we asked but it took 3 days to get the internet working in the room. All it took was resetting the router on the floor as well as reseating the Ethernet cable in the router in the closet. I phoned Friday when we got there, Saturday morning, Saturday night and again Sunday morning when they finally showed up.
Stayed for 2 nights in Aug 2020. Lobby is nice but in the room it s another story. The beds are so soft and mushy and in desperate need of replacement. The shower head in our room was busted and wouldn t stay in position. Everything was clean and relatively modern but the bed is just terrible.
A hotel hidden in the industrial area of Edmonton BUT it's clean, well managed and well priced. If distance isn't an issue and you dont mind a 15-20min drive from the hotel to downtown. This is the hotel for you. Very very well priced for weddings and conferences as well.
If I could leave no stars I would. I stayed at this hotel as my friend had a wedding in their facility. To start the hotel overcharged us. We were told guests had an 109$ rate. We were charged 180$. When we complained the day of we were told 140$. Better but not good enough.
The day of the wedding we were getting ready in the honeymoon suite and when I ran back to my room to grab something I found housekeeping cleaning our room. When I asked why she was there she said she thought the room was empty. Completely ignoring a wedding dress hanging from the window, our luggage on the bed and all our random personal items still in the bathroom and around the room. I asked her to leave and she argued with me.
I went downstairs to ask the manager why there was someone cleaning our room when we had a late check out and he was confused as to why I was upset. Apparently cleaning a room before a guest checks out is par the course. I had to explain that the room would not be clean if I take a shower, jump in the bed, or lick the cups of my heart desired. I don't understand what was so hard to understand. A room being marked cleaned before being vacated is not okay. He said he'd talk to the staff. That was it. All I can think is that if this is the way they conduct their cleaning then this hotel is far from hygienic or clean.
This was just the tip of the iceberg for a wedding where staff broke my friends wedding cake and served frozen pastry and desserts amongst many other issues I witnessed first hand.
I will Never. Ever. stay at a Radisson after this experience because this hotel clearly has no idea what they're doing.
Nice rooms, has a bar/restaurant. It's convenient location if you are working near the oil/gas refineries. Not so close to anywhere else. Will definitely stay here again.
Attended a wedding at the Radisson. I felt the decorations were dated. The venue was quaint. The staff were polite.
Very clean. Wonderful staff. Rooms were modern and well maintained. Excellent hotel to stay in.
I've been trying to call to make a reservation for the last 24 hours and either get a busy busy signal or I'm able to get through and their phone Cuts me off about five seconds into the conversation
Really pleasant and helpful.Manager makes herself available for any problems that arise
Standard 2 queen bedroom, everything was standard and good except the shower. Weird 2 headed setup that wasn't properly seated on the wall
Clean rooms friendly staff. First time there so didnt get much time to go around the location
Comfortable beds, great shower, good food in restaurant,. Overall, a good hotel experience.
Attended a wedding reception in the Grand Ballroom. Staff were efficient and courteous, food was fabulous; venue was spacious and we'll appointed.
The room was set up well. Food was decent, could tell it sat for a fair bit before eating.
Very nice looking hotel, good service. We had a good two night stay. Room was clean, comfortable. Well priced breakfast - my kid liked very much (I didn't go). Not much around the area, very industrial but it's Edmonton and were there for a tournament so the location worked.
We had a wedding there at the hotel WORST experience of our lives . I would NEVER suggest anyone spend anytime there or rent a room there . There is a guy named AHMED works front desk . He is BEYOND RUDE. There was a wallet lost. He took 3 hours we called back asked if he had looked he said he didn't bother calling house keeping then had hung up on us. I had called back said If I have to I will drive up from out of town and speak to him to his face . No management of any sort in that hotel was any help . DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY THERE EVER . Specially for weddings or any special occasions. Your stuff might go missing and you will be treated like garbage .
I may have gotten food poisoning from cross contamination.
I've stayed here once before. Nice rooms for the price. My recent stay was 1 night. I was in the city for an appointment. I checked out the following day and left my expensive carhartt rain jacket in the closet in my room. I contacted them 4 hours after and they claim there was nothing found in that room. I called the next day and still nothing was brought in. She told me they would call me in a few hours after she asked the different departments. I recieved no phone call. I called a 3rd time the next day and was told the same, and again no return call. So not only do they have cleaners that steal... the management does not look into it to help people out.
Stayed in new section, very good rooms. Excellent breakfast buffet value.
It's a very nice hotel but it's in an industrial park and all the staff is snobby
Was a great stay the staff was so very accommodating as I didnt have a credit card and they went above and beyond to help me the pool and hot tub were amazing and very clean the restaurant had a wonderful breakfast the atmosphere of the hotel was so beautiful cant wait to come back I am in Edmonton very often with my son to the stollery and am looking foward to our return
Had our wedding here, they were absolutely fantastic and the food was excellent
Rooms are nice and the staff is very friendly. The bar has very limited selection for drinks and the food is very hit and miss
Shower was weak(-1), bed was nice(+1) no joke though the bed was very nice don't change that, pillows were hard (-1), tv had no HDMI port (-1), guest WiFi is super slow (-1) total score 3/5
Bar staff and convention staff were sub par. Not knowing drinks or beer. The lobby and convention center is gorgeous. The lounge could use better chairs
We were here for a weekend of conference. Food and service for these events were fantastic.
This place was very convenient for this event as the participants were flying from all across Canada.
The hotel itself is very nice, great front desk service .The family restaurant/room service was piss poor though. Tried calling for room service three times, no answer. Went down to the restaurant instead, took 10 minutes of sitting with menus closed for anyone to bother taking our order, and wasn't even our server that took our order. Food was decent. Asked for to go boxes when our meal arrived, was told "sure," then never got them. Waited another 10+ minutes of being as obviously done as possible to even get our bill/to go boxes. Honestly the restaurant ruined the entire experience and because of that I'd probably never choose this hotel again.
This place thinks that they are the only game in town, and will treat you as such. I booked a room under a wedding invitation and through some confusion I was booked for the night prior to the wedding. This might have made sense if I didn't provide them with a local address, but nonetheless didn't raise any red flags with their booking agent. Upon arriving to check in I was informed that I was without a reservation for the night and had been charged a no show fee, for the full amount for the night prior. I asked to speak with a manager but was informed that the manager was away for the weekend, and that nobody there had the authority to resolve the dispute. I was given a business card and told to e-mail her. I've had more success conversing with a brick wall, as I was completely ignored until the threat of this nasty review, and only then received a snide response. This entire chain of hotels has lost my business for life over $140 that they did not earn from me. Stay here at your own peril. For those that choose to ignore my advise, feel free to enjoy the piss poor service, and lovely views of the Argyle industrial park and freeway. Thanks Anne for making my decision of choosing hotels a little easier in the future.
Excellent renovations...Very classy! Plus the restaurant has superior food and service!
I'd like to start off by saying that not everyone is the same, but when you pay 150.00 pluse dollars for a room per night you would expect something nice this place is not bad but way over priced shower suck pool floor is uneven people at the front desk won't talk to you they just talk on a phone in a different language you ask a question all they say is don't no. Stay at super 8 better place and half price and better service...
Stay away.
most of the staff are great(I'm betting minimum wage), working with what they have but the place is in disrepair its clean as can be but its clear owners are cheap and are just trying to make what money they can off the building with minimal maintenance stupid prices. I really could go into detail but waste of time. *reference stayed here for weeks at a time because the company i work with has a deal with them*
We attended a birthday event. The ballroom facilities and services are good.
Horrible room key cards that need to be replaced almost every day. Loud elevator and poor pillows. However, it was clean and staff was helpful.
Amazing place top notch service very clean and friendly.
nice has a pool not sure what it costs to stay I had a meeting here tho
