A little high priced & were not prepared to comfortably handle full table crowd

We have stayed in GRT Grand twice in the past 5 months. First time, we took a total of 6 rooms as we travelled in a group of 12. The second time, we took 2 rooms.

Personally, we liked the rooms, which were clean, comfortable and spacious enough for our needs. The breakfast spread was more than adequate, comprising both Indian and Western cuisine.

A key reason we chose to stay in GRT is it's location. It's very near Pondy Bazar and that makes it a convenient base from which you can do your shopping at Pondy Bazar. Indeed, on a number of occasions, we walked from the hotel to some shops in Pondy Bazar. That's how convenient it is.

But the show-stopper for us is the high level of service we experienced during both of our stays. The warmth and friendliness of the staff was very evident and they truly made us feel at home. They were personable and approachable and always willing to help, even going to the extent of trying to help us get movie tickets for Avengers Endgame at the last minute. Special mention goes out to Karthick and Suganya, both front office staff who are truly an asset to GRT.

Would definitely recommend this hotel in a heartbeat.

A very good hotel in central Chennai. Food is great and so is the service. The unique aspect of this hotel is the swimming pool in the basement. It's a big pool but the depth of the water is maintained at 4.5 feet. So no pool for kids. The water in the pool is quite cool because of the location.
There is another safety aspect in this hotel. One will need to use the access card to use the lift which will take you only to the floor on which your room is. Else the lift won't work...

Stayed here for two days. Everything here was great. Food , service and the spa. Rooms were clean and immaculate. Concierge was prompt and courteous. Did I mention the breakfast buffet? It was wow. Service was outstanding. Chefs remembered our preferences and made sure we had a similar experience the next day as well. The spa had a variety of affordable massages. Their restaurant Jai Hind had amazing theme based food.Overall, an amazing experience. Looking forward to staying here again.

Experienced the best five-star hotel, breakfast is very rich, there are still a lot of music, there are dragon fruit, salmon, very good, very good service, fruit will be delivered to the room during the day, as well as chocolate, thank you very much, six stars

Excellent place to stay with family. Wide variety breakfast. Car parking facility. 2hrs late checkout allowed. Clean. 10min car drive TNagar Shopping area.

Grand hotel. Above average service. Most definitely overpriced. Exquisite, nonetheless. Beautiful interiors. Located in the heart of the city, so if your office is paying, go for it!
