We were very optimistic that the new car buying experience at Racine Honda would be a good one but that went away really quickly.

First the positive-
1. Honda is an awesome manufacturer and they make a product that lasts forever.
2. The sales guy Ricky was not pushy (although he wasn t abundantly helpful either)
3. Once we bought the car, the guy who tries to sell the extra inside/outside coating named Mike was a nice and funny guy. He made his pitch in under a minute and when we gave him a no response he was still very nice and pleasant. He actually gave us some local dinner suggestions! Great guy.

Now the complete disaster-

1. Trade in Offer- The Sales Manager completely undervalued the trade in. He was $1,250 below the Kelly Blue Book Fair value of the car (which was 4k) which is the lowest possible value. We had offers of 4k-6k from other places so to start with that horrible offer was a warning sign that he was not sincere in working with us.
2. The Negotiation- Once we took the trade out of the picture he gave a price and said he would not budge from the price, not even $1. It s tough to negotiate when you have a person like this. We told the sales guy we would walk since he was not sincere in trying to make a deal based on that attitude and the low-ball trade in offer. After much back and forth he went down a little but not much. The other odd thing is that the sales manager never came out once to talk with us face to face (and he wasn t busy- we saw him sitting in the glass room). That shows what a coward he is and how not interested he was in making a deal.
3. After the Purchase- Now the absolute worst part which was dealing with the finance manager. He gave his pitch for their extended warranty and when he was told no he completely flipped out. Raising his voice, staring us down, telling us how wrong we were to not buy the extended warranty and on and on he went trying to bully us into it. He clearly was a sexist bigot trying to intimidate the female. I can only imagine what he does to older people who do not have someone else with them and/or women who buy a car on their own. He is why car dealerships and salespeople get bad names. What a despicable human being and shame on Racine Honda for having him in their business. If the check hadn t been cut and received by Racine Honda for the car we would have walked out of the dealership without the car, but because they had it already and given a receipt we just pushed through and got the car. It also didn t help that after we went outside after this nightmare you could see him bragging in the glass room to the sales manager and other sales people about what he just did to us.

We love the Honda CRV, but do not like the Racine Honda dealership and especially the sales experience. There are so many other Honda dealers in Southeast Wisconsin so go there and get a much better experience. I ve bought from two other local Honda dealerships and they were nothing like this disaster dealership.

I ve always received the best customer service at ...

I ve always received the best customer service at Racine Honda...Which is hard to say about most dealerships. I had one minor issue. My window suddenly stopped working...they checked my warranty and fixed without delay.

They care about my car like the smaller mom and pop places but you get the professionalism and experience that a dealership offers. It s the only place I trust for my Honda.

I was very unsettled with a deal I got at a different dealership, I called them to see what prices they had and to offer advice to me about how to go about getting out of the bad deal - if that was even possible. Everyone I talked to on the phone (and email) was nothing but helpful even though I wasn't actually in the market yet. They were open and transparent about pricing and were prompt with call backs and email responses.

If anyone out there is looking to buy a car - email and internet is definitely the way to go. The staff at this dealership seems honest, clear about pricing, and are genuinely nice people. Give them a call or email.

Came in to just take a look at a Civic I was curious about and ended up talking to a manager who was very abrasive right off the bat. We made an offer and ended up walking out because of him. Received a follow up call asking to work with us but never got a call back after that until we came back in to look at the car again. The manager remembered us and was incredibly rude again. The salespeople we worked with were all pleasant and helpful but the manager put an awful taste in our mouth, we ended up buying from a different dealership.

If I m going to spend a significant amount of money, granted it wasn t a brand new car, I want to feel good about the purchase. I don t want to feel written off or like a 20,000 purchase is a waste of his time. I work customer service and if I were to ever act like that to any of my clients I would have been fired.

I went in due to low tire pressure. In a timely manner, they found the problem, noted it was under warranty, and fixed it in under an hour. I didn't even have to ask about a warranty; they came back to me and said, "It's done and it was free."
Can service get better than this?

It was a purchase for our son and it was a difficult process and We were there for a very long time but Axel never left our side!! He made sure we were completely satisfied before leaving! I really appreciated everyone's help with the whole thing! I definitely would recommend anyone looking for a nice and reliable vehicle plus great customer service to got to Racine Honda!!!

Went in with a price range in my mind for trading in my Civic and leasing a new one. Xavier helped me pick a new one. He kinda knew what I wanted and showed me two cars. The first one was a winner. He made it easy. Then Will in financial services stunted all over the paperwork as fast as possible and made getting into my new car seamless. Racine Honda will be my new dealer in the future.

I was thinking going in there and going home empty handed but David S. Was able to get me aprooved in 15 minutes. Didn't even get a chance to finish the water bottle they offered me. I would highly recommend buying from this place. Go in there and ask for David ! They will get you aprooved when others don't.

So happy with my new CR-V and the purchase experience! I was pre-approved quickly by Jamie at Educators Credit Union and she provided names of people to work with at the dealerships who had the cars I was interested in. James at Honda in Racine was very responsive, friendly, and provided excellent information. We never felt pressured or frustrated. My husband and I appreciated that James directed his attention to me about the car -- unfortunately some other car salespeople still defer to the man, even if it's going to be the woman's car.
The purchase details were handled so easily via email. Tyler from Honda delivered the vehicle to Educators Credit Union and talked through all of the settings and features.
This was by far the easiest and most pleasant car buying experience I've ever been part of! I'll feel very comfortable contacting James or Tyler with any questions and am glad I'll be taking my car for service to a local dealership who clearly cares about the customer.
Thank you James and Tyler at Honda Racine!

This was a bad experience for me. I was told my car needed a timing chain and a vtc 1600 bucks .i get my car back and the car does the same thing i took it there for in the first place. So then the guy says it needs a vtc solenoid he tells me its a 750 dollor job but he'll give me a break and charge me 450.i call another dealership and its a 320 dollar job.this dealership has ZERO integrity beware of this dealership.

I recently helped my mother find a new car to replace her 2010 civic she felt was "like sitting on the road". Being retired she wanted to sit up higher, feel safer and have overall features which would suit her for the next 10 years. After doing online review of the CUV class vehicles we settled on the HR-V AWD EX. We picked 3 dealers to shop with and compare.
Our first visit was to Racine Honda and we immediately met Robert Woods. Racine Honda had the car she liked and Robert was very gracious in walking through the features of the vehicle and also representing the value of the dealership and their future plans, Robert and the team were very open, accommodating, and flexible to get to a fair price. He moved things along quickly and helped coach the team to help us take delivery without any upsale or pressure, as that's what mom wanted.
Robert made the final paperwork and delivery very painless, friendly and speedy. In fact, I think it was the fastest delivery I've ever experienced. Mike the finance manager had the paperwork ready, accurate and was a very straight shooter.
In summary mom was very happy with the experience and her new car, the team at Racine Honda is working hard to have great customer service and they did a very nice job.

No hidden fees, delivered over an hour away, stress free buying experience. Bought a certified CR-V and love the car already. Will be recommending to anyone in SE Wisconsin who needs a new car.

Had a great experience working with Dave and Mike at Racine Honda! (Also shout out Tyler for keeping us properly snacked up!) The team at Racine Honda was so knowledgeable and willing to work with me to get me into a brand new CR-V. Dave was fantastic, able to explain in laymen's terms all the differences between the models I was looking at. Mike kept us laughing and made sure our process was efficient and we were getting exactly what we wanted. I appreciate the team's transparency, they were honest from start to finish regarding price and never tried to push me outside of my budget. No stereotypical car salesmen here! The team worked quickly, handled my prior Toyota lease, and made paperwork a breeze. I am now happy in my Honda and look forward to working with Racine Honda in the future!

They do not play any games here. This dealership maintains honesty throughout the entire process. He kept things moving along. I would recommend seeing him and would not hesitate to recommend to others coming here. I wouldn t hesitate to purchase from Racine Honda again.

Just picked up my 2017 Ridgeline RTL-E this past weekend. Nate Haggerty my sales associate was a true pro! Extremely responsive and worked with me to get the accessory options and price I wanted. The rest of the team in both finance (Amos) and parts/service were equally amazing. There are several other dealers closer to me but Racine Honda was head and shoulders above the rest at every part of the buying process. I would recommend them to anyone and will be bringing all my service/warranty work their way despite the distance. Best buying experience ever. Thank you guys!

A disappointing interaction with them.

The salesman was great. The manager who was brought at what we thought was getting closer to a deal was rude. All he did was tell me how the other car we were using as a reference point would be full of blemishes (sic) and to badmouth his competitor (which I believe is his arch rival). Then he went on to explain why his prices where what they were. At the end all I asked him was if he could get to the price it worked for me, if he could then great he had a deal and if not, no problem, we moved on, no hurt feelings on either end. He didn t like that and kind of went in circles again. After I asked again if he could get there yes or no, he said no and we said thanks and indeed moved on. Literally, no big deal.

So not an unexpected experience while trying to buy a car. Sometimes you won t get to to where the dealer wants and viceversa. But there s no need to talk like that to a potential customer and to badmouth your competitor. When he started going that route I knew I had gone to the wrong place.

Funny enough, during our continued search another promising option came up. But it was at Racine Honda, so I passed. No need for that.

The only reason for the 2nd star was the salesman.

I did get a call / message from both the salesman and the general manager to apologize (I guess I wasn t exaggerating, since I didn t call the place to complain at all). They were nice in their note and offered a generous discount to make it right. However this wasn t about the money so I took my business elsewhere. But still, at least they cared a bit about it.

Drop off was quick and easy, the problem was diagnosed and appears to have been fixed. I did take off 1 star for some cosmetic damage to my steering wheel, but my service rep Zack was quick to order a new one so it could be replaced free of charge. I will submit another review after that replacement occurs.

Update: Steering wheel was replaced free of charge and in a timely manner, overall I've been extremely happy with Racine Honda.

Great service! I dropped in to ask about a problem that needed fixed. They took care of it within the hour. I was at a different Honda dealer who (I felt like) was raking me over the coals. This issues ended up only being $50 dollars. Now I know that my son can take his divers test and there will be no problems. Thanks Rodney for your help. I will be back.

Purchased a very nice, clean Ram 1500 recently... and overall, I am happy with the vehicle. I got a decent trade offer on my vehicle, and worked in a full detailing (free of charge) which was done earlier this week. Although, a full wax and buff was supposed to be included... I do not believe it was done. I can tell when a vehicle has been waxed (should feel like silk) and this does not. Not happy about that.

Had a great experience with the salesman (Nestor), as he answered all my questions... was very polite, no issues there. Sales manager (Bruce)also very courteous/helpful. Chuck in Service called to setup the detailing and even took notes on specific things I wanted them to tend to (scratch on the side), a pen mark on the visor, etc. A+ to Chuck for his willingness to get problems resolved and his politeness.

The buying process was rather easy, but when it came to dealing with Finance and the 'Customer Relations Manager'... we did not care for the amount of pressure that was applied to us, not only to purchase and extended warranty (thru Racine Honda) but also to purchase 'extras' for the vehicle (i.e. bed liner, cap, running boards, etc.) respectively. I get that they are told to offer these, but after us kindly replying with a 'No Thanks'... they didn't leave it alone. We were asked about the extended warranty at least 3 more times. This sort of thing gives dealerships a bad name. Doesn't 'No' mean 'No' anymore?!?

So, if you want a pleasant buying experience... I would recommend Racine Honda, but be aware of the pressure to buy extra items after the purchase agreement is worked out. Hope this helps others out there. Take care.

The staff was friendly and the price listed on the vehicle was below average. I thought that I had finally found the car that I was looking for, a clean car at a great price. However, once I sat down to discuss the overall price, they added $1.5k+ for additional dealer fees, most notably for the vehicle being certified. I was disappointed that they waited till the very end of the deal to disclose additional fees that should have been included in the base price. I ended up purchasing a certified vehicle at a dealer that did not attempt to hide additional costs.
