Sensing Spaces exhibition is a unique take on participatory art. It is very family friendly and allows you to explore the pieces however you want - including touching, walking on and making. Kids under 12 are free.

Recently reopened after lockdown. Excellent organisation and helpful staff ensure a smooth, safe and enjoyable visit. Timed tickets must be booked in advance. I saw the Picasso exhibition which is superb. His ceaseless creativity, skill and energy is pure inspiration to spirits feeling battered by 2020, and worried about what might be round the corner.

Hosting some of London's best exhibitions, the Royal Academy is never afraid to be playful and doesn't take itself too seriously. The Summer Exhibition showcases the best entries from open submissions and deserves a place in your calendar. So will at least one major exhibition every year!

Following my first ever visit to this beautiful museum and ready to indulge in the culture and history enjoyed by many of my ancestors, I was confronted by rudeness from your staff today and immediately felt emotionally damaged by the aloof and common unpleasantness of your staff. I had expected at least simple manners from this establishment. From a family of academicians I feel saddened it has come to this and hope it can be noted. More training in care at your entrance is required.
I shall be following this up

Quality of exhibitions have gone downhill massively. Membership is no longer worth it as there are hardly any standout exhibitions and their staff is unhelpful. They do not accept any form of suitcase and have a minuscule cloakroom so beware!

Came here for the Ai Wei Wei exhibit, which is great and gives you insight in to the artist's life, especially when he was incarcerated.
The buildings are also beautiful so it's definitely with a visit

Lovely gallery, it s a definite must-go just to see the building itself. Gorgeous architecture. There s always something intriguing to see outside AND inside!

Also the location is fantastic... right at the heart of London.

Klimt / Schiele, a fantastic exhibition. However, it was very difficult to enjoy it due to the extremely high number of people that RA let to get inside at every turn, although tickets must be booked in advance. I suggest a reflection to RA organizers about the maximum capacity of the exhibition in order to appreciate the art

I went to the Picasso and paper exhibition. The overall staging of the exhibition was disappointing.
Poor or no light design, you couldn t see the details of the artworks. Even a lot of the spotlights were out of order. Some chambers were not following chronological order; from the 60s you went back to the 50s. Children with rolling shoes and the security didn t care. Picasso s works deserved more respect from Royal Academy of Arts and art lovers will be disappointed for paying a ticket of 22 pounds.

Screenshot of the website - so much for cafe opening at 08:30....frustrating to be misled. Cafe only opens at 10. The counter and all the equipment and glass display is dirty, unkempt. The coffee is so bitter, and tastes awful - not worth the price. Bird poop on the tables, despite asking for it to be wiped. Could have been done in the hour it took to pack the croissants and open . For something that has a Royal prefix, quite embarrassing, and has earned its patronage.

Came here to see the Hockney exhibition, which was gorgeous - such beautiful vivid coloured landscapes, rich and lively yet at the same time pure English countryside, which can sometimes be quite underwhelming. Every year I mean to come back and see the summer show - I'm sure 2014 will be the year!

Summer exhibition love it been before and will continue to come every year. The variety and quality never cease to amaze. There always stuff I don't get or understand but that's art for you. Well worth going to see any of the exhibitions they have on. Better yet as I found membership is much better value

First time I visit this museum ... at the beginning it is a bit difficult to find the free access rooms and then understand how the museum is articulated. But once this stage is over, the museum has different environments, exposes different periods and the buildings are cozy. Cafes and bars to be restored, a boutique with souvenirs and interesting books ... the next one I will discover the temporary exhibitions!

Considering most of London s museum are free don t expect much for free here, but their temporary exhibitions are show stoppers most of the time. And if you don t want to pay to go in I would highly recommend to just pop in and walk around. The new renovated extension by David Chipperfield is superb and worth a visit. The poster bar is also a cool place to grab a drink.

Worst exbition experience in london ever.

Worst exbition experience in london ever.
1. It seems to be something under construction, so theres no longer any step free connection between two branch of the building.
2. It is chos in the busy time. Plus the circulation of the building is also confusing. You need to ask or tajr quite a long time to figure out the map.
3. No practical information of show which has limmitTion every day. Several peole wait with me for 20mins or more but ended up with nothing.
4. Do no come to see what is radical I cannot believe I travel half of London and end up in one cover studio careless arranged and not even bigger than 10m2. Really? Forty interest idea with several poster of buildings?? ? That is RA??

I tried to join a tour to visit the John Madejski Fine Rooms. Didn't know how to book it online so I walked in and spoke to not less than FOUR members of staff (including two in the information desk) and got a totally different information from each one of them. The last one told me that I can find pictures of the rooms online and it's easier to see them that way so I left the place quite frustrated honestly.

I was very disappointed with the Dali exhibition, as I felt that it warranted audio to explain the paintings and the objects. The subject matter is complex and we were offered very little background information.

Admission free. We are currently doing a paid Picasso exhibition, but there are also some free exhibition rooms. There are some free exhibition rooms in the main gallery building that holds special exhibitions such as Picasso, but many are in the back building. In particular, the collection gallery has large paintings on display, and there were few people to see it slowly. There are toilets for changing diapers and wheelchairs.
