Data breaches, glitches...this is terrible software. Often it'll let you fill out an entire long and tedious acord app but at the end it won't allow you to save it or print it, forcing you to fill it out again. The To Do List is always having problems. Our agency contact information changes on its own causing forms to be printed with incorrect info...Costs too much for so many features not to work.

so i dinged you guys one star because you use to be the BEST and the CHEAPEST option. You guys are so stable now but I actually have some of your competitors (ITCrap) who literally give away their product for free if I will switch.
So you know what? in a perfect world you would be the cheapest and the best but I am not going anywhere because even though it costs me a little more money (ok not that much as like Applied) it is worth the peace of mind.
If you're ever in Midvale and can call ahead, see if they will give you a brief tour of their datacenter. I was blown away at the security they take for my agency. Super cool!

After Using Quomation For over 10 years I will admit they customer service is superb. The platform is dated.
I m dissatisfied with the fact they want to charge me almost $2k for my data because I m moving to A new service.
The worst part is the fact the quoted me$500 before when I wasn t moving. It will them 6-8 weeks to process it.
Service and support are top notch, hard to believe i can say this with a software company but its true!
The insurance management system is 4 stars as long as you are not on the cloud.
My company attempted to transition to the cloud and it has been a disaster. The basic daily items included in the management system of attaching emails, opening old saved emails, attaching saved and scanned docs have become impossible.
Despite trying to reach out to the company 10+ times we have had zero help with the transition other than the initial call to install the cloud. We have made them aware of these problems but have not been helped with any of them. On top of this we now have duplicate contacts for every one of our customers in the cloud.
We are canceling the transition to the cloud and would not wish this experience on any of our competitors. Horrible customer service. Terrible transition management. Sales team told us it would be "seamless". Do not use the qcloud. Its a disaster.

Our agency used this companies services for about 15 years. We were informed by two of our major home insurers that the new rating models would not be included in the Quomation comparative rater. Because of this, we decided to change comparative rating vendors. Quomation could not provide us with the comparative rating capability we required. When I contacted them to cancel our service they responded by telling me we owed an additional 3 months service fees by contract. I tried to appeal this decision via email as our request to cancel was due to their program not being able to provide us with a product that would rate home insurance with two of our major insurers. They never even responded. I think given the longevity of our relationship and the reason for parting was beyond the control of both entities, they should have waived the contract penalty but they obviously feel differently. Buyer beware, if you are considering them as a comparative rating vendor, I suggest adding a section to the contract stating that if for, whatever reason, Quomation cannot provide comparative rating capability for your main insurers, the cancellation penalty be waived.

what a difference a year makes! went from legacy PowerQuote rater to the new web rater, AgencyStream. Not even remotely close to the same experience. It is hard to believe it is from the same company. I called in to ask what changed and I talked to the head of the programming department. He told me they rebuilt everything from the ground up. I believe it. If you're an agent and need a reliable rating tool - run to AgencyStream. I quote on the phone now all day long - was afraid to do that before...
Agents didn't want to move rater and mgm systems but once they saw the demo they all were on board. Thanks guys!

This system is inferior and is very frustrating to operate. Primarily because the system is usually down and it wastes a lot of time during the course of a busy day. We are shopping for a new system and this transition as you know is a daunting task to move our business to new a vendor. We just are not going through the brain damage anymore. I do not recommend working with Quomation/Agency Stream so called Insurance Services.

Beware of any contract you sign with these guys! Learn from our mistake and have an attorney look it over before signing. Even if they have a data breach and the system is down with no ETA, forcing you to switch to another rater, they will enforce it to the letter and sue you. Also beware of how many users you sign up on the contract because they will not let you reduce users.
The CEO of the company acts like a nice guy to get you to sign up but will do a complete 180 if you ever want to leave. Stay away!

Absolutely the worst customer service we've ever dealt with. Make sure you read and reread your contract with these guys. They breached there contract by getting hacked, and not having enough security to stop them. They were down, and we were forced to change rating systems in order to keep writing new business. We never received a call or email stating what was wrong. No ETA when they'd be up again. They sue us for another 3 months of service even though it's 100% there fault we had to change, and could not use them anymore. We did business for 18 years with these people, and we'll never speak again. I will let every agent we know, and every agent thinking of changing over to agency steam how we were treated. You can get way better software for the same price if you shop around. Save yourself the headache and stress and go with a company who actually cares about their customers. One with better security to stop from being hacked, and going down. Also, be prepared if you buy the management system to pay him if you ever wanna get your information back. Even though it's yours, he feels entitled to charge you to get it back.

Switched to AgencyStream from ITC and OMG what a difference it is! no more answering a ton of question at the end of each quote. So much faster and user friendly. Glad I made the switch and will be adding all 4 offices soon. I also love your customer support - best out there.

Quomation's system was breached and down for 2 weeks just recently. Now as of 4/11/19 it's down again. We have been encountering the same problem for at least a year and half now without the problem being fixed. When you open any of the power forms and do not save them within 5 minutes the system will lock you out for inactivity. They say it's possible that we lost the internet connection which would cause all the data to be lost. This is a possibility on occasion but not everyday. We have contacted them countless times and they basically just say it's a known issue but we need to adjust how we work and save the form every couple of minutes. I guess no insurance agent ever gets a call or has someone walk in their office where it takes more than 5 minutes to deal with. They are always pleasant on the phone but that doesn't fix the problem. There are other issues also but this is one that's gone on so long it's worth a bad review. I'm sure there is no perfect system but use caution in making your decision before using this one.

I had to pick a star to post, but I didn't want to even choose one. I have been in the insurance industry for over 25 years. I have never experienced a worse Agency Management System. Quomation is awful. They lost hours of acord forms I had been working on, and were unable to retrieve them. The closest back up they had was a month earlier!!
Shopped Azure and Amazon cloud services and had sticker shock for my small agency. Quomation has the goods when it comes to cloud. I was running my own network and got to the point I was spending more time doing updates and backups I couldn't sell policies. Bandwidth allocation from these guys is awesome, virtualized servers and in a secure datacenter. Not just the money i save on IT but the time i got back. The only draw back is it isn't free...

This system is not what it is said to be. Always having problems, outdated accord forms and old promises about updating the system. The system was hacked and was down for awhile with no credit given. I have been waiting for years for them to update and make changes for the better. I finally decided to switch systems and now they say it is going to be 8 weeks before they can give me data back up. NEVER AGAIN!

Worst experience with a company we've ever had. DO NOT sign a contract of any sort with them without having your attorney read it and make adjustments to make it fair to both sides. Their system went completely down in the spring. They weren't communicating with us and would not give us an ETA on when they'd be back up. Our major carriers pulled their rates from Quomation and didn't get back on them for months. We were forced to switch to another company because we had no idea if/when they would ever be back up (we can't function without a comparative rater with the volume of business we conduct). When we went to cancel, due to their lack of providing the product we had agreed upon, they told us we would have to pay for 90 more days of service. They wouldn't even allow us to remove users at that point, so we got a bill for nearly $1,000. We have done business off and on with Quomation for nearly 20 years, but we will NEVER go back to them and will tell anyone who is considering them to run away as fast as possible. The judge in our case was sympathetic (they took us and 6 other agencies to court on the same day, to fight us over these ridiculous charges) and admitted that the contract is not fair and that he would have done the same thing we did, but due to contractual law, it has to be upheld. We are forced to pay the bill, plus his attorney charges because we signed a contract that we never should have signed. DO NOT do business with this company.

We had the fortunate event of getting to know Quomation when we first started in 2005. We had no clients and it was just me and Randy trying to sell car and home insurance. We worked with an agent that was very successful, and proud of how many file cabinets he had and all of his success with his numerous clients. It was overwhelming thought if we were to do this long term how would we process all the paper and information that we would see in the future. After our Principle that we worked for sold his business we had to figure it out on our own. We contacted JR from Quomation and we went paperless from the beginning and started using Power Manage as our point of sale and management system. Since then we have grown to four agencies covering Southern Utah and the Wasatch front and fifteen co workers fill out the Jri Team. We now use them for secure Q cloud service and agency stream. I feel that Randy and I have benefited immensely from agency stream and all they offer. If you are needing a product that helps you stay organized and productive call the experts at agency stream. Run, don't walk away from this crooked company. The owner could care less about long time customers. He'll cheat you out of every penny he can. Look at other raters, and management systems. This one is a complete joke. Always going down, and getting hacked. Wouldn't do business again with them if it were the last rating system in the state.
coolest things these guys have is the texting feature. i have had so many of my clients tell me i was the only one who remembered their birthday and texted them happy birthday. I can also text out quotes and renewals from their PowerQuote and PowerManage software.
fast rater and great sales people. I used another rater out of india and it took me about 15 to 20 minutes to get a quote. Most of my commissions average about $100 a policy so I can't afford to pay someone to quote 10 different websites.
I worked with both Jess and Caleb on the sales side and they were extremely organized and helpful. A lady named Dayna did the training and she was excellent. Highly recommend if you need a good auto and home rater.
- Cloud is garbage.
- They'll make you pay through the nose if you try to take your data elsewhere to "unlock" it so that it can be converted into a different system.
- CEO is a crook and a cheapskate.
- That platform is built on Visual Basic 6, it's slow and inefficient and buggy as hell.

Quomation is wonderful. They are so proactive- always checking rates to make sure we have the best policies at the best prices. Seriously, when is the last time you had a technology vendor actually call you to let you know you had a bad user name/password combination? My agents literally would never tell me if they couldn t log into something. Quomation is on it! They are quick to respond whenever we have a question or an issue arises. I recommend Quomation to all my friends because I can totally count on them!
This company has been shut down for 2 weeks because of a data breach. Hackers are wanting Bitcoin to release compromised, encrypted files. If you are an insurance agency with Quomation, you're screwed. Luckily we jumped ship a few months ago, so this didn't affect us. What sucks is thousands of people's personal information is now being held by these online hackers. This is Quomation's fault 100% for not having better protective measures in place for this type of thing. Seems like they will be out of business pretty soon. I'd like to hear from any agencies how this has affected them.
