One car broke, another had to be bought. We saw online a 2011 Terrain at an attractive price. We went just to look at it, and it was as close to new as it could possibly be, and loaded. We cannot believe how good a car we got for our tight budget. Everybody was polite, helpful and effective, but Yianni especially treated us like family. Excellent experience.

They are scammers! Vehicles are priced good until ...

They are scammers! Vehicles are priced good until its time to make the deal. They add almost $6k in accessories and fees but when asked for a breakdown of all the fees... they can t provide. I feel sorry for someone that really needs a car and don t have the knowledge to know that this is wrong. Who would buy something over $30k and not need to know what they re paying for. The accessories they provide should be an option. This place gives you a buy here pay here feeling. They also used my name to write a good review for their own company! Who does that?? I m guessing the other good reviews are them too smh

5 Stars but not for the dealership... Since I can only leave one review, I will give you the BAD and the GOOD in this review - 1 STAR for the dealership as a whole / my overall experience and 5 STARS for the folks that went above and beyond to be sure I was happy & satisfied.

Overall the service I received during the entirety of my purchase was aggravating & frustrating. Do not get me wrong, I love my vehicle now but the process to get to this point was difficult. The lack of communication at this dealership is terrible. I felt as though I was bothering certain employees when I would call and check on the status of my vehicle. Several times I was told that a certain employee would check on the status and call me back to let me know and that employee would never call. Not only was the service not up to par, the building is in need of repairs. I was there when it was raining and there were buckets out where the building was leaking and exposed ceiling tiles in the main lobby and the ladies restroom. Management needs an overhaul and the building needs one too.

It is also frustrating to me that in order for the sales team to receive their full commission on my sale, a Google Review is necessary. I am not sure if this is how all dealerships handle their reviews but to me holding a commission over someone's head to get a google review is ridiculous. One other thing I should point out is the online pricing is only honored if you use their financing and if you trade a vehicle. Ex. if the online price is $28,000, if you do not use their financing $1,000 is added back in to the sales price and if you do not trade a vehicle another $1,000 is added back into the price so you would pay $30,000 for a car that is listed online for $28,000. This again might be normal protocol but I did not see any fine print stating this.

Now for the good...
I cannot speak highly enough of Hadley (Sales), Mrs. Joy & Mrs. Carolyn. All three ladies went above and beyond to be sure that I was happy and informed. I also cannot speak highly enough of CJ in the Paint & Body Department of their sister dealership at Chiefland Ford, he was super informative and asked that I call him at noon the following day, he beat me to it and call me at 12:08 to give me an update.

It is refreshing when employees communicate, do what they say they will and provide great customer service, this is something the others at Chevrolet Buick GMS of Quincy could learn from.

I must say i wasn t impressed with the GM or the salesman that helped me. I went in to buy a truck that was listed for 8995.00 and they jacked the price up to 12995.00. The truck was a 2008 Toyota Tacoma with 89,000 miles. If you look on the internet on there website you will see a bunch of used vehicle listed with a bunch of discount for varies things. It s not so true because if you don t go with all the options they add all of it back in to include dealer fees. My salesman went to the GM and another man behind a glass window and came back and said this is the price. i told him i could do better and he stated he can t do that . I left it was clear that this dealership and salesman and GM ain t in the business of selling cars. I would never go back to this dealership for anything!!!!!

Don t waste your time here or there other dealership in Arcadia. I inquired about their pre owned 2018 suburban with the Plattner price of $50,900. It took a few days working with them and their sales manager Pete who sent me the purchase order of $63k for it. From that moment I knew this dealership was a joke and it s no wonder their sales numbers show for it.

They said a pre owned vehicle had $1700k of accessories added onto it, that was a lie as I saw the video and it was all factory options. Secondly, they raised the price to $56k when working out the deal when their website clearly stated $50,900.

I wish I hadn t wasted any time with this joke of a dealership and it s employees. Take your business elsewhere.

Awesome Dealership i was a little nervous to try dealership after reading the reviews, but after actually meeting these people and purchasing a vehicle and getting service done, i can honestly say none of those reviews are true! Honestly just try it because my experience has been great and i honestly believe that since its a smaller dealership you get better customer service.

Amanda is a great sales associate! The entire process was fast and efficient. The finance department was helpful and applied discounts without me asking....they try their best to get you the best price! I would recommend going to Plattner s Quincy Chevrolet for better prices.

My family has bought cars from here for generation...

My family has bought cars from here for generations. My grandfather purchased two vehicles from them. My mom purchased two vehicles from them. Therefore, I was told to try them first. But, there was a problem; I don't like Buicks, Chevy s, GMC s, etc. I ended up there due to carguru.com and its search. There on the lot sat a 2016 Dodge Durango limited in the color I wanted! Excited was not a fitting word to describe my feeling. Talked to Ms. Michelle (R.I.P) and drove off the lot with it including free oil changes for life.
Now we are at the point of the why for the one star rating. On Friday August 17, 2018 I dropped off my truck for its routine oil change. I was scheduled to pick it up later on that Saturday afternoon on August 18, 2018. The service department attendant was more than friendly. So I pick up my truck on Saturday, signed the no charge for service and went on my way home. On Sunday, I went to get gas and run two errands in town (I live 12 miles from the city of Quincy). Got in town and my truck starts to alert me that my oil pressure is low. So I pull over and try to reset the system, however, the light continues to register as oil pressure low. I had to leave my truck behind a building for the night because I was too afraid to drive it home. On Monday, I stayed home from work (I work in Perry, Fl.) to handle getting my truck towed in to the Platters dealership. At 7:30am sharp I call the dealership s service department, spoke to the nice attendant who puts me through to the service department manager, I tell him the story of my how my truck ended up behind an abandoned building all night. He then begins to make excuses. He displayed the worst customer service experience of my life! He goes on to tell me that if I made it home then it was not their fault and if the oil life is still registering 100% then it may be a sensor. What took the cake and burned down the entire building was when he specifically stated, If you don t change your tone of voice with me I will tell you to have a nice day and hang up this phone. Mind you, I am off from work (which I don t get paid when I m not there), my child was in the vehicle with me, and so was my elderly handicap mom. That statement alone made me call into to work and tell them that I have a situation to deal with. After hanging up with the service department manager, I called back to speak to the general manager. He was super apologetic and stated that the situation would be handled. Asked me if a tow was coming and proceeded to find out how far away he was. Meanwhile, I had already spoken to the tow truck driver who was super nice and asked if I were in a safe location. Followed the tow truck driver to the dealership. Got there and was told that the vehicle had a faulty oil filter that's the reason why all the oil ran out. Then the general manager told me vehicles now in days can run without oil. As a medical professional, if something is not written down it did not happen. If that statement were true, then he should have put it in writing and signed his name so in the future if I have any other issues with my truck then I know what caused it. In the end, it was a faulty oil ring. However, I feel I will never know the truth from them. What they don t know is that my truck runs self-diagnostics when I send the signal for it to do so. These will be used for future points of reference. Oh and not one time did the SERVICE DEPARTMENT MANAGER APOLOGIZE TO ME FOR HIS RUDE RESPONSE. Generational buying form here stops with me. I will never nor will my family members buy anything from this dealership again.

I bought a car as is from this dealership, and of course it never feels great dropping thousands of dollars on anything, but Jake, Kelly, and Tony all made the process feel like I was making the right decision. After driving the vehicle for a bit, the as is part of the deal doesn t worry me so much... the vehicle works perfectly and I attribute that to the great service team who got down and dirty to make sure the vehicle was road ready before I got to the dealership. I was shopping around before I landed on Chevy, Buick, and GMC of Quincy, and I am glad that I went with them. Great vehicle, great price, great trade in, great experience.

I would not recommend this place if your looking t...

I would not recommend this place if your looking to buy a new or used car. I was in the market for a car and found a nice one online. When I got to the dealership the price on the window was 1000 dollars more. I asked the salemen if they could lower the price and he agreed they would to the internet price. When they returned with the write up offer. They started the car at the higher sticker price, then they added on about 2000 money, in fees & taxes including money for oil changes the say are free. Short story I didn't do business with them because they tried to use slick math to screw me out of money. Two weeks after I was there I saw the same car was now on thier website and had been reduced in price by more then 1000 dolars. This place will try to screw you. Stay clear.

My issue is their shady pricing. Don't believe the internet price for a vehicle is accurate. It's only accurate if you qualify for all of the rebates. When you look at the list of possible rebates it is nearly impossible to qualify for them all. I went and looked at a truck that was around $26800 on the website but the actual price was about $3500 more than was listed on the web. It's a bait and switch approach. Now that being said there was positive to my experience. The sales people are not super pushy like most dealers. Unfortunately with the pricing scheme they are just shady.

**Follow up** I received a response to my review from these guys which is a generic automated response. The GM's email is included in the message with a request to contact him. I tried to email him and the email address posted does not even work.

I must say that I was Leary at first due to all of the bad reviews as well as me reading on the website, Facebook page, and online that they were open on Sunday so we drove down with our 3 young children and they were closed. However things took a turn for the better on Monday when we returned. I bought my car for a great price and Melissa was very kind! Although there were a few little kinks along the way it was a very good car buying experience considering how stressful buying a car can be!

I can not recommend this dealership. We knew what we wanted and were all set to buy it. It took over 5 and 1/2 hours to buy a car with cash. We sat and watched people walking all over not doing anything. There's one person doing the paperwork. It was just one excuse after another, because we were buying a used car and not a new one
If you have all day to sit and wait then go for it.

On 3 different occasions I have reached out to this dealership because they had the vehicle I was looking for at the best price. Each time I made contact with their office, I was pushed off, never received returned emails or phone contact. I would call the office to speak with the salesman I previously spoke with and he was unavailable so I was transferred to someone else. I'd have to start from the beginning and explain what I was looking for. I'd be told I would be called back and wouldn't. Once again I call the office and back and when I spoke with the salesman, he acted like he had absolutely no idea of our previous conversation. Yet, again promised another return call and nothing. I simply gave up and have had to reach out elsewhere.

They were charging me a 600$ delivery fee when I had gone out of my way to pick the car up.
Also I was buying a used car with no new accessories and Steve added another 500$ of accessories and when I asked what it was for he had no answer.

Steve also lied to me on the condition of the vehicle. He said it had 3 services. 2 alignments and an oil change. When I checked the car facts it was actually serviced for brakes, accelerator and air bags. Steve was lying to me to make a sale and then almost doubling the price.
The vehicle was $1,650 after all the BS fees Steve added t was at almost $4,500.

They're condescending and treat people like idiots. And apparently are willing to endanger ones life for a sale.

DO NOT SHOP HERE!

After purchasing a used truck we had to return it for an oil change that had not been done. When we got it back the truck had been cleaned very good but we had to go back the next day because they forgot the oil change. One of the doors will not unlock with key and we will have to pay to have that done. A bed liner was in the deal and we are still waiting on it. There are several other issues but you get the idea..... We purchased a new vehicle 10 years ago and was very unhappy but since management had changed gave them another try. We won't give them another try.

Purchased a SUV in December 2017 and by the the end of January the check engine light was on. I got the problem fixed only for it to happen again and again and again. Spent out so much money within the first 5 months of getting my SUV. I was tired of putting my money into it so I tried to trade it in only to find out that it has a savage title(Never Mentioned). Which is why every time I got it fixed it didn't last. So please be careful when purchasing from these people. I wish I could leave 0 stars!

I cannot stress how shady this dealership is. I went in for an F-150 that we talked about on the phone. I had to drive an hour to be told by the manager that this truck had been in the shop for over a year with transmission issues. Then they tried to sell me a different F-150, the final out the door price added over $9000 from their website price. The website price is a complete lie and they add random $5000 fees that other dealers do not. On top of that the salesman was in a t shirt and sweatpants and they did not have A/C working on a 90 degree day. I would give 0 stars if I could. Stay away.

Worst dealership we've encountered while car shopping - they tried to add nearly $5000 in bogus "Dealer Fees" to a 2018 low mileage vehicle, would not provide us with a written explanation of how the price of the vehicle went from 20K to 25K after trade in. Would only say that "the price is the price". We went elsewhere and found a 2019 low mileage car the next day, advertised at 17.4K and with taxes and dealer fees of 2.2K was out the door priced at 19.6K! We are so glad we listened to our gut feelings, and walked out.

The absolute worst car dealership I ve ever interacted with. They advertised a price online, and I called to confirm that price for a vehicle I was interested in. I spoke with the manager and one of their sales associates to confirm. A few days later, the listed price increased by $2k, so I reconfirmed the initial price with the sales associate.

Upon confirmation of the price, I drove 3 hours to the dealership to look at the vehicle and make a deal. The manager then informed me the price indeed had increased. With no acknowledgement of their error, I was told the mistake was from some unnamed folks who run their online sales.

They had zero intention of working to rectify their error and just assumed I d make a deal at the increased price. I walked from the deal and noticed a few days later, they had adjusted the price back to the original list.

At the very least, they re giving the appearance of using a low online price to get folks interested in a vehicle, then changing the price on the spot. I d be wary if traveling from distance.

I have to say my salesman Jeff white in quincy is defiantly one of a kind!
He really cares not only about making a sale but also the customer. He was very kind and sincere. I'd definitely recommend everyone I know to do business with him or michelle she was wonderful and definitely knows her job well.
I have to say I didn't think I'd leave that day with anything if it wasn't for such caring wonderful people like Jeff and Michelle I would have left empty handed, but because of the knowledge and heart they have for there job and customers I left with my 2016 sonic.
I will only deal with these two in the future.
Jeff also personally called me to check on how I liked the car and if I was happy and that's says a lot about a person. I was blessed to have met and did business with such amazing people. Thank You all for all your help and patience.
Because of how amazing you all were especially Jeff I named my car miracle
Thank u both for helping make that day special and a day I will never forget.

I would not recommend purchasing your vehicle here. We found the vehicle we wanted online at this dealership, called and made an appointment to come and purchase since we had a 1yr old we wanted to have something scheduled, when everything was said and done we were there over 6 hours, left alone while our sales associate did I don't know what, and there was another couple who drove up from Miami that was there longer than us. We left with a pit in our stomach because we knew it was a bad deal. I was supposed to get free oil changes, so I made yet another appointment and had my toddler with me and it took THREE HOURS for their service center to change my oil. Now, a year later we traded in that vehicle and purchased new from Stallings in Cairo (AMAZING EXPERIENCE! WORTH THE SHORT DRIVE) and needed to cash in our warranty on the Equinox we bought last year. I won't go into all the details but basically we turned everything in to Michelle (the financial manager at Chevrolet) on July 29th and after so many lies, receiving the run around, and her being very disrespectful, she didn't send the paperwork off untilthe end of August. It is now the last day of September and we have yet to receive our $1500 check. I emailed both managers at Chevrolet for help with the issues I was having and neither one replied. After speaking with a few different dealerships, I was told this process should only take 7-10 business days. I have never had an experience with a business like this and I will never recommend anyone to this dealership.
