Do NOT use PW!!! During my auction last month to sell air movers and dehumidifiers, etc., I cannot tell you how many bidders told me they had been locked out of bidding--during the last hour they could NOT place a bid. They expressed sympathy over the fact, I lost thousand of dollars. I was told by PW that they were experiencing new website problems; that yes bidders were LOCKED OUT. I was their guinea pig for their new website??? I would never do business with these people again!!! And their communication stinks!!! They never return telephone calls when promised!!! I would tell buyers and sellers--BEWARE and STAY AWAY!!!

if you cant personally inspect dont buy ibought dozer only had one bad car battery have had one indivual want to charge me 100.00to load an air compressor will be returning to regular auctions

Purple wave was easy to navigate online easy process for online bidding. And the customer service is second to none.
Very friendly to work with and gets everything done in a timely manner. Looking forward to my new work truck.

i bought this for my dad, when he was inspecting he noticed oil underneath the owner said he blew a hose, but it was fixed everything was working, (just a weak Battery)
when my dad wanted to pick it up he couldn't get it loaded because the hydraulic pump was leaking and wouldn't go on the incline of the trailer!!
also had more problems
owner admitted he knew of the issues but didnt tell my dad,
i reached out to purple wave and told them the issues and was told they would get back to me, didnt hear back from them so my dad hire a local trucking company with a telehandler so he could get it home.
i called purple wave again and was told they would get back to me,
couple hours later they emailed and ask where this item was and when i told them my dad had it picked up they joyfully said (Thank you for this confirmation. The fact that you took possession of the item knowing its current condition doesnt leave room for talk of any possible resolution)

Did not protect honest bid. I bid on a truck from 6000 to 15000 and they emailed me later that day. Said there erroneous bid so they sold it the next day. I didnt see the email till after they resold it. The high bidder should have had to pay 15500 plus 10% buyers fee. They should have called me as soon as there was a problem with the other bidder. Felt I should have won the auction with my legit high bid. I have to boycott purplewave as they are not to be trusted

We will definitely be using Purple Wave more in the future. the process so simple, fast and easy.

Don't buy Purplewave! They are not trustworthy! Do not trust description, pics and videos! Items are misrepresented! Truck was listed as mechanically functional and was shown to start and run in listing. Drove 3 hours to pick it up and batteries were bad. $450 for batteries, then shredded belt, because alternator was bad. Wasted a day and had to spend my funds to get it in operating condition.
I asked for a full refund or that the item be repaired back to represented condition at their expense, but they declined to reimburse me for my expenses. They told me that the videos in the listing were from 4.5 months prior and that it had been sitting, but the listing represented them as current.
Any other online auction company would allow a refund or require that items be represented accurately. Buy n sell alot here. Friendly staff, always available to help. Which says alot in today's world.

Ok well we bought a h2 from them.. when we got there they didnt have the title, they said the needed a power of attorney to get it after we gave them the money.. said it would take up ton2 weeks no more, ok. 2 weeks went by after calling then many times and emailing them.. finally we got the title "3 weeks later" and it was filled out all wrong.. the iowa dmv voided the title.. called them back said they would call us the same day. Of course no call back. We've been doing this ever day now it's been over 5 weeks now and still no title.. or even a call back.. we paid 10,010 cash for it.. plus 3,300 in parts and labor to make it drivable.. about ready to get a lawyer involved..

I don't want to see Canada West items on any of the equipment auctions. They should sell though a separate sale date. Also I have stopped selling and buying on Purple Wave due to high fees without much publicity. Auctiontime, RB Auction, and Iron planet are much better places to buy and sell.

I wouldn t waste your time trying to sell anything with them. I tried to sell my car twice on their auction and both times it sold but they never made the buyer pay for the car and they ended up waiting to long to go to the next bidder to see if they wanted the car. I wasted several months on them, stay away!

I have now sold my boat and this last auction I sold my truck. I have been very pleased with Purple Wave and the staff is wonderful. My account is an old number so I have been with them for many years and I see people complaining about PW when in fact while reading their post it's plain to see they didn't do the research on item or items they are bidding on. This is NOT PW's fault it the fault of the bidder for being lazy. I and many others know that we would never bid on something with out putting hands and eyes on it first!!!!! If you bid and didn't get what you thought you were getting THEN IT IS YOUR FAULT NOT PURPLE WAVES FAULT!!! I will say it again best auction site that I have ran across and the staff are the greatest !!!!!!!!!! No certain order but this is the staff I worked with, York, Rachael, C.E., Charmin, Wanda and all the staff in the front office.

Our auction went great. What we appreciate most is the integrity.

Purchased a truck without an in-person inspection. Video showed it running and no issues listed on the auction details. Contacted the seller and double checked that the vehicle could be driven to my location (Several hours away). Got there, and the truck could not get over 35mph. The owner had a lackey meet me, you can see why. I had to get it towed at high expense. Once I was able to inspect the truck at home, there were multiple issues: Transaxle problems, brake problems, shifter issues, electrical problems. I'm already $3000 over what I paid for it trying to get it functional. For sure I was ripped off as I could see where some things were recently fixed so it looked like it was fine.

Don't trust the video that only shows the vehicle going forward and back for a short distance..

Add bad axle seal and bearing to the list..

Zero customer loyalty - they are neither fair nor honest. Fortunately there are several better options for virtual or on-location auctions in the Midwest. If you need to buy or sell equipment, steer clear of purplewave.

I've really had a mixed bag on this site. I've had some good stuff I bought, but a recent purchase I didn't feel was represented honestly, and their response was that I should have personally inspected it. Now I am stuck with the item that was three hours away. I understand purplewave didn't misrepresent the item, but they should have been more responsive when they found out.

Purple Wave has seller agree to a full discloser agreement however Purple Wave doesn't enforce or follow up with it. It is just a technicality. I bought a piece of equipment that had several issues with it. None of which was disclosed. The worst problem was that they welded the spindle nut on so the wheel wouldn't fall off. That way the equipment could drive long enough to sell. Purple Wave acts like they couldn't do anything because they still had to make money. When you make 30% (20% from the seller and 10% from the buyer), there is plenty of profit to make things right.

If you can't fully inspect the item to be purchased, DONT buy it. It looks great with all the pictures and videos but none of it can be trusted. For all I know, the seller takes the pictures and Purple Wave mails them a sticker to put on. The tractor bucket displayed in the video wasn't even the bucket the company gave me when I picked up the item. It was a much smaller bucket.

Best of luck for potential customers of Purple Wave. I can't afford another loss like this.

Easy to navigate. Easy to pay. I won my auction and can t wait to pick up my son s new (to him) car. Can t imagine why I wouldn t use them again.

Seller told me a bucket would fit the excavator I was purchasing. When I went to pick up the equipment it was clear that I bought a bucket that was worthless to me.

I understand that PurpleWave is not at fault here, my problem with them is the complete lack of customer service from them. I contacted them 3 times in regards to the situation and was completely ignored. My total purchase was just over $35,000, any other business would have at least returned a phone call when spending that kind of money.

Auction process was easy to navigate. It's always important to read all the instructions so you understand all terms and conditions such as the 10% buyers premium and where the items are actually located. But my overall experience was great. Everyone has been very friendly.

Great SITE! i have bought 10s of thousands of dollars of items on this site. I know what questions to ask sellers, and can tell which ones to stay away from. Every car, truck, equipment piece, and other items have been at least as good as described.Looks like great place to sell as well, just hasn't happened yet. Purple Wave has good people. HINT: follow it for awhile, to see how things work. That great one of a kind thing will have another one like it later. Figure the costs of buying, inspecting, and picking up your item. NEVER NEVER NEVER PUT IN A MAX BID. Set on it during the auction so the price isn't automatically inflated! Get it for a better price, or just wait for the next time. Remember that there is always a reason for that low price. You just have to figure out why.

My experience today was terrible . I had been bidding on a truck several times and in the last 10 minutes it locked me out . I called purple wave and they told me that they could do nothing. I asked if they were letting the sellers know that they could of sold the item for more and they said no. I think that wrong sellers beware.

Just had a single w/female driving a white SUV with A purple wave sticker on window like a company vehicle. Steal a pair of 511 slim jeans 29 /30 which i know she can't fit into. Just walked out of Dillards with theses jeans and not pay. We have L.P. N. Too. Just so u know! LJT.

We've bought a hand full of things and have always had good luck. Accurate descriptions and just as promised in my experience.

Bought a Telehandler from purple wave and felt like it was misrepresented, had many issues that were not mentioned in the listing. Ended up putting 6500 dollars worth of used parts into the machine just to get it usable. Contacted purple wave and they refunded us 1000 dollars and said we should have looked at it better before buying. Buyers beware purple wave is on the sellers side.

Whomever drives your company pickup trucks in Tulsa need to pay attention to traffic lights. Flipping folks off is very unprofessional.

This company is horrible. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM! The will rip you off and then ignore you when you raise issues. This is the worst company I have ever experienced in my entire life.

Well, used them once and never again!!! Purchased a box truck through them, drove up to Decatur, IL to pick it up, yesterday. While driving home it out of the shop and heading home, I immediately notice, the truck spurts oil everywhere from just about every darn seal there is and it has no 5th gear. ALL things NEVER mentioned on the AD. You got me this time Purple Wave, but never again. My attorney will be in touch.

Most things there selling are junk, descriptions are misleading, customer service is terrible. I cancelled my account but regret ever opening it!

how do we know that Purple Wave is Not upin the bids on items we bid on theres allways some of the same Bid Numbers bidding on autos, Vans, Etc, I feel like we need to be sure that this is not Happening, How can you make sure that you do not do this. Allso we we get a Title From You It is signed by the seller and you Fill in our Name as Buyer, I was told that this is not legal by the state its called swiching Title is this Legal for this to be done. Please let me know the ansers to thease questions. Although it is very clear that facebook marketplace doesn't allow business listings. They don't care and list everything they've got on there, trash move.

Once I got called back I had great service. Just getting the initial phone call took a while.
