Staff were really helpful and did a good job explaining the features of the mattress. They were perfectly willing to let us lie there for as long as we wanted to help form an opinion about the mattress. The only thing that might be improved would be moving the showroom to a more private location. It's currently located in an active office space, so I felt a little bit like I was intruding the whole time.
Absolutely horrible customer experience. Still paying on a bed that was returned 2 months ago. DO NOT DO BUSINESS with them especially if you're going to finance the bed - Their finance company, Affirm, is the worst. There is not coordination whatsoever and more than likely they will not even read this post or do anything about it. STAY AWAY please for the sake of your finances.
The lady working the showroom was very friendly, and answered all of my questions. The beds, pillows, and seats felt amazing. You won't regret stopping by.

The mattress took some time getting used to. At first it almost seemed too hard! But in reality it was our bodies readjusting to a mattress that supports. After two weeks it was perfect. We also noticed that our arms no longer fell asleep while sleeping (we are both side sleepers) and best of all we were sleeping cooler than ever before!! It gets hot where we live. But with purple we don t wake up sweating.
Glad we bought one. Glad we were patient as our bodies got used to the new support. Highly recommend.

This is a review for their pillow after my first night of use. The pictures I posted are the pillow itself, no pillow case. One side has a zipper to expose the inside of the pillow.
I laid propped up for awhile watching TV first. This pillow felt amazing. It's soft and squishy yet still supportive and doesn't flatten out. I eventually rolled over on my side and almost immediately fell asleep. I didn't wake up the entire night. When I woke up I had no neck pain, no ear soreness from sleeping on my side, and I felt rested. I sleep on my side a lot and have an arm under the pillow most of the time. My arm never fell asleep and I never felt any sweat or heat. This pillow is amazing. It comes with an inflatable thing to elevate it but I didn't use it. I bought two of these. I had another pillow under it but not the other purple pillow. I may try the inflatable thing but I'll probably just put the other purple under it when I sleep on my side since I think putting my arm under anything inflatable will block circulation. Time will tell. My conclusion is this is the best pillow I have ever used. I even like how heavy it is (9 pounds) but it makes it a little awkward to move.
There cannot be any nicer to deal with. When I say being in the service industry for over 50 years; this company, Purple could not be easier to do business with. From my initial purchase of the Purple sitting pillow, which when received since I was just so small and bony it did not work for me and I had to return it. No hassle in the return process and they could not be more accommodating. Many companies treat you well for you to buy, but when you need to return you are treated as a second class citizen. When I tell you they treated me and spent the time to hear my issues. What a team and their Philosophy to donate rather than return is a great concept. So when it came to buying a new mattress Because I could not deal with our tempurpedic mattress any longer, I was waking up with back pain and sciatica pain every morning time to replace the mattress. I love my Purple mattress!!! Everybody is different and of course has different preferences obviously! Some people might not like the purple mattress but I know that I love it! They give you a 100 night trial so you can see if it works for you, if it doesn't they'll come pick it up. Best purchase I ever made!!

This sounds so cliche, but our Purple 3 Mattress really changed me and my spouses life. We were sleeping on a bed that we had just bought 4 years previous, and we were always aching. After switching to the purple, we have had the best nights sleep in our entire 11 years of marriage. We are no longer sore, and even better when we may strain our back doing something, it s almost as if going to sleep on the purple heals us each night. We are past our 100 days and absolutely love our mattress! This is in no way a paid review and we paid full price $$$$ for our mattress, but it was worth it!

I was excited to get the pillow, and I m very disappointed. When I first got this pillow I thought to myself that there is no way it could be that shallow, I went online and found out that it used to ship with an inflatable base. I called the company and the rep recommended that I stuff it with a blanket! I can see stuffing a $5 pillow with a blanket, but seriously? I guess most of the inflatable bases were leaky and the company got sick of dealing with customer concerns so they just discontinued it. The $100 value on black Friday incentivized me to make a $1600 purchase (bed+frame), but that technically made it free so I guess I m out of luck. What was more concerning is that I submitted this very review on their site, go ahead, try to find it. I have to admit that I'm a little concerned regarding my entire purchase. Company's efforts seem to be trying to hard to be too cute, so far I haven't seen any signs of credibility.

We're from Montana and are only in town for a few days, so my mother didn't understand why I was wasting an entire afternoon driving her out into rural Utah just to look at a mattress. However, after seeing and trying out the Purple mattress, she no longer feels the afternoon was wasted.
We had no trouble finding the showroom, and it didn't seem like anyone had trouble either, since it was packed with customers by the time we left.
I appreciated the no pressure sales approach, but had hoped for a little more information than we received, since my mother had never seen a Purple advertisement and I couldn't remember everything from the one I'd seen 7 months ago. (Perhaps some detailed flyers about Purple, with product names and price lists would be helpful, since there were far more customers than sales staff.)
We still left with a pillow, a seat cushion, and a handful of "squishy" samples for friends, and we will probably both be ordering new Purple mattresses in the near future!
I'm really glad I went to the physical location to test out my purple mattress. I didn't know that they were made in Utah, but I was super proud when I found they were, in once I had enough money to purchase one I really wanted to test it in person. The store was a lot smaller than I thought it would be, but purple doesn't have a huge product selection, they only have a couple different mattresses to test out. there's a big difference between the mattresses. My wife and I went with the first model because we didn't really like the tubes underneath the mattress we more like the foam. However other people might like the tubes because they dampen movement.
We have had our Purple mattress for over a year now. After the initial adjustment we love it. Luxury mattress at a reasonable price. On my blog Newspapermom I detail the cost of buying everything and it's only about $1500 for a queen with mattress, protector, base and sheets! Half or less than our last mattress.
Not a fan of the pillow yet, excited to try the sheets and future products. They're always innovating!
For now the showroom is really just a section of an office. There isn't a salesperson so you can lie down on a mattress and explore. It's not clearly marked but it's on the entrance to the back...
The packaging is amazing and I know they're a Start-up but this is a factory too. Hoping someday they'll have a dedicated room separated from everything else where you can turn off lights and has signs and info for each product.
I have tried all the rest...Brooklyn, Casper etc..purple to me was the best. I love the cold feeling bed. The way the bed holds my body just can't be beat....The customer service was really good with answering all my questions. I knew I was keeping the bed on day 3...I can't sleep on anything else now. The Only flaw was I had to wait a few weeks for my purple mattress....but it was well worth it!!! Try it yourself.

Mixed review. Was really excited to try the mattress, but decided to cancel the order. At no point was it made clear to me that there was a several week delay, until I asked for an update. I could have avoided the waste of time, and gone elsewhere immediately. However, they were quick to cancel my order.

Worst matress ever. We ordered the original after reading several reviews and were very dissatisfied. This matress support is not long lasting. It was good for about 4 months and then the foam just started compressing and losing its support. The gel matrix is not cooling as advertised. We wake up nightly overheated and have never had that problem with other mattresses. Contacting there customer service is ridiculous. I emailed them with questions and concerns and got generic answer that just advertised for the bed and did not answer any questions. I would never recommend this bed to anyone. Now due to this matress my back pain is significantly worse and on the way to leading to a back surgery.

Be aware that the company will charge you for any "promotional items" you should select when ordering if you return the bed. The promotional pillow is too thin and not worth ~$100. I would advise declining the promotional stuff unless you know it's something you want or read a review that convinces you so.
The Purple 3 bed is medium firmness and not appropriate for side sleepers. I can't imagine upping to the Purple 4 would help much.
Other than than being charged for the promotional item, the return process has been smooth so far.
Terrible mattress. The buying experience was fine except they forgot to mention an important detail about the factory sale voiding any trial period. The main problem is the purple 2 mattress is awful. It's the worst mattress I've ever slept on and I've slept on some bad mattresses. I would just return it but any mattress sold during the factory sale is not eligible for their trial/return period. I didn't hear or see anything about that. If I would've known my purchase wouldn't be eligible then I would have purchased the original, maybe on a different day so I could take advantage of the trial period. Now, if I can't sell it, it's going straight into the garbage where it belongs. I think it would have been more fun to set my money on fire but you do what you can with what you get.
Stopped by to try out a mattress before we bought it. Weird location in the front of the customer service area. Crowed with only 8 people there trying mattresses....should may be get a storefront to showcase the now expensive Purple mattresses. In a positive note, I tried the mail order mattress without having to return it....

Oh Purple, you did not disappoint! We really wanted to be able to physically try out these Purple beds before buying one. Thankfully we live near enough we could take a little journey to try it out! The staff was very sweet & helpful, giving us each a little purple squishy toy that shows you what the bed is made of. Then they regaled us with stories of what they do with those squishies & in minutes our son was shooting them over the beds at his sister! But all was well & smiled upon, thankfully! We ended up getting a Purple bed & have loved it. It took a bit to get used to the bed & figure out how best to make it work us for, but we are really enjoying it! Thanks Purple!!!
The space is small, but the service is top notch. The woman running the showroom answered all my questions and let me stay to try out everything as long as I liked. I went on a weekday, so no one else was there.

RUN! They fill their beds with plastic powder and they will not take a return even though my son has breathing issues. I purchased one and then I read about the white powder they put in the beds. My son was having breathing issues. They denied my return.

Buyer Beware -- Mattress is very very firm; if you like sleeping on the ground you will love this mattress. Was also sent a used / damaged platform base -- the box was open and platform all scratched up (probably why they are running a special $100 off platform base). Dealing with their customer service in the return process is not a good experience. Slow to respond, vague, argumentative, etc. Good luck!
My wife and I had a rocky start with Purple originally. We decided that purple was the perfect matress for us. We were under some time restraints with a new home and new sleeping arrangements so we spoke with a sales person who told us we could potentially pick up our mattress.(they don't do that anymore) or have it expedited because of the time constraints. Anyhow they took our payment told us it would take a few weeks to actually make the mattress and they would call back in regards to either pickup or shipping. (We live close to their factory by the way.) Anyhow we never received a call back from our salesman and upon speaking to customer service our original estimate on when it would be ready was weeks off. After explaining our situation that we were basically going to be sleeping on the floor, to a customer service representative they shipped our mattress in less than 24hrs. Just arrived. Haven't slept on it yet but am very optimistic about the way they handled our complaints after their salesman misinformed us. Thanks for having integrity. Looking forward to our pillows in the next two months!

The Purple Mattress was not what we expected and not a great mattress. We had great service from Purple thru the entire experience (including returning it for a full refund during the 100 night trial), but the Purple Mattress wasn't everything they said it was. My husband is a side sleeper and continually woke up with shoulder pain on this mattress. I'm a stomach sleeper and felt like I was in a hole and didn't rest well. We really tried to give this mattress a chance and slept on it for weeks, but it was very different than any other mattress we'd tried. They have excellent advertising and excellent customer service, but the product wasn't a fit for us (unfortunately). I just like my bed to feel a bit like a mattress and be a place where I can prop up on my elbow without totally sinking in. ;) We ended up with a Tuft & Needle Mattress.

Bought their purple pillow. I m a side sleeper so I used the booster with it. It was awesome.. until the booster went flat. They quickly sent me 4 more boosters!! Then... all 4 of those went flat. Now that I m out of my 100 day trial period, they recommend I buy another pillow to put under it because due to their customer feedback the boosters aren t working out.... gotta love the change of customer service once my return period is up. The second pillow option is worse than the deflated boosters and now I m stuck with a $100 pillow that I can t use.

My husband bought us one of the new purple.2 mattresses for Valentine s Day, as our current mattress is really starting to cause us pain. We were told 7-10 days until we would receive the mattress, and to watch our email for tracking information. We never got a tracking number so we called after 10 days and they said the mattress wasn t done being made yet and to keep watching for a tracking number. We called again on Tuesday, (14 days later) and she wasn t able to find any information, but told us she would call us back. We still haven t received a tracking number, a mattress, or a phone call. After spending close to $2000, I expected more.

Little small and unfortunate I could not but product on site. The employee was very helpful though.
Bed is good but the sheets are TERRIBLE. Way too stretchy. With a comforter on they always just slide right off all night. They don t have enough girth to stay on at night. Honestly, our bamboo sheets from amazon fit way better and feel way better and we re $42 instead of a whopping unreal $99. They should do more research but they get you buy saying no other sheet will fit as well.
Great help when trying out the queen mattress with the power base. Super awkward because all of their test beds were in the same room as all the desks for their employees. Not very private at all when you'd want it to be for trying out mattresses.
I tried both the purple 2 then the Purple 3 both gave me deep lower back aches and when I tried to return the second mattress they would not accept because it was less than two weeks over the timeframe but did not offer any solution either! terrible product does not distribute pressure better than competition as claimed total gimmick , not developed by NASA scientists as claimed according to a sleep expert I consulted was actually a different company before it was Purple has a firmer waffle material and Purple does not last as long either , guess you get what you pay for , next trying Tempur-Pedic my experience is already better with their product!!
This place is a combination of a mattress testing site and a call center where orders are received. The service here was great! Unfortunately, we were unable to go home with a bed in the same day... but we were able to have a lot of our questions answered and test out the Purple Bed. The Purple Bed offers the greatest support and comfort I've ever experienced.
Both my husband and I have constant back pain since we got the purple mattress. On top of that, I have started having shoulder and hip pain while I sleep. Of course, it was about 20 days after the trial date that we started suffering. It has just gotten worse. We have had the mattress less than a year and we're already looking for a new one. Don't buy into the hype, it's terrible.

We purchased two mattresses and a power base. Spent over 3k. We waited almost a month and then wrote them to ask why our items haven t been delivered. They responded saying it wouldn t be delivered until August. They never said this when purchasing that we would have to wait until August or I wouldn t have purchased it. The website says 10 day delivery and that s a lie. Zero stars for their customer service.
