One of the best resort, where you can relax, with white sand beach and pools. Jacuzzi is also available. There is also a room where you can play billiard. The staff were accommodating. The food were served on time. However, the downside of this resort, weak or no signal of internet either smart or globe. The hotel did not provide internet service ( no free wifi) for their customers.

Almlost perfect but their restaurant service really sucks. They have to upgrade the F&B to offer especially their customer service. Corkage fee is too much! They don t have good choices of alcoholic beverages, and drinks. If you bring one they will charge you double. Hope they can be more accommodating.

If I could give this resort 0 rate I would because this is the only resort I d ever stayed without courtesy or respect with their guests! We booked 5 nights to have a relaxing holiday and on our 2nd nights they have wedding event but they don t even advice their guests in this event that will gonna disturb our relaxing holiday! I came to the front desk and asked until what time this event will gonna create a noice and they said till 10pm and I said why they don t even giving an advice to their guests for this kind of event? And they don t even apologised at all! Their food is everyday the same cold buffet. I expected their dish could get hot meal but when you put on your plate it s cold! They should put microwave on the side to warm their bland food! The beach is too shallow you wouldn t be able to swim you have to walk miles away on the rough rocky water to get in a bit deeper area. This is the only resort that they don t have room wifi you have to go in front desk or in their restaurant to connect on wifi but it s too slow connection! Housekeeping it s not automatically coming on your room, you have to call them every day. Most facilities videoke room, play room area need to pay! Everything is about of money! The room has so much mosquitoes and you should have your spray for you not to get malaria or dengue!! I will not recommend this place or even give them good rate review!! This is the worst ever holiday we d ever had with my family!!

The place provides a good bonding time with the family. It has lots of activities to enjoy, from kayaking, strolling in the shoreline (lowtide or hightide), beach volley, picturesque views of the garden, indoor games such as table tennis and billiards (however, no badminton courts as advertised) and their newly opened INFINITY POOL which is very relaxing and enjoyable. The rooms are neat and clean. The staff are very polite and should be given commendations. The parking area is well secured though it is a little bit far from the resort itself. I agree with the other comments reagrding the salinity of the water in the shower and faucets, limited wifi connections. Security within the area is excellent. Great shoreline. _REYES FAMILY of Sta. This resort s online photos do live up to their expectations. The beachfront is decent. If you re caught in low-tide, I wouldn t call it the most picturesque; however, the pool is very well designed for its look and comfort. I cannot speak for the outlook if you happen to be caught here during a storm. And I wouldn t think all that much of the place if it were fully-booked. I think we had luck with both during our stay. Their game room is a little depressing. The sea-view restaurant is worth a couple meals. Don t expect the best WiFi. And do have patience with the service. Things are very laid-back here. It s a wonderful and worthwhile getaway that I d do again for a weekend out of Manila.

Not worth the price.

Not worth the price.

We stayed for one Saturday night with phone reservation.

- booking data disconnected between their Manila office and the resort office.
- as a result the room was not ready when I got there and had to wait for more than half an hour before the room was ready by about 5pm.
- not running a proper spa despite the premium prices for spa services. The message center is quite open and less than 10 meters from other guest rooms.
- no WiFi in room, and WiFi cannot connect to internet in the public hot spots, allegedly due to too many guests, so basically no WiFi.
- with so many operational problems front staff is always distracted and tense.
- so many rooms and buildings have been put in to expand capacity, but in general the infrastructure and service could not adapt to the increase.

Place is clean and the beach is awesome. Was able to fly my drone without restrictions. Food can be improved but overall, it's good! My second time to be here but the surprises are endless. Staff are awesome... Will definitely be back soon...

We went here for our company department team building. I recommend their Casitas room which has two rooms and a living room, perfect for family or barkadas. They have their own beach side but we didn't swim there. Not impressed with the food (this was lunch) but I guess it's ok for a buffet style catering 200 people.

Great place...upscale...higher standard of living and service. Great food. Spectacular view. 10 minutes to the lighthouse and souvenirs, and 45 minutes to 100 Islands. If you are US military, use the Armed Forces Vacation Club for great pricing.

Nice, quaint resort 8 hours out of Manila. People are friendly but every meal took so long when ordering from a menu. Also no one ever asked if you were ready to order more than once and often only took a couple peoples order at the same table. Staff were too shy by what it seemed. Not a great beach as well. Also no Wi-Fi in the rooms and what was more annoying was that the Wi-Fi barely worked at the hotspots if not at all.

Puerto del Sol met and even exceeded our expectations, the long drive to the resort was totally worth it. Room was clean and well maintained, staff are polite and customer service oriented. We didn't get to use the kayak however my son really enjoyed the beach because of low tide. We will definitely go back.

At full published price the hotel is not cheap. However, we secured two twin rooms at a discount making it good value for money. Quite a nice hotel with polite staff and good food. The management attitude though was frankly bizarre. We were rushed into choosing out evening meal at 5oclock and forced to finish it before 7pm when all the staff left, only the rather zealous security remained,. No bar, no room service(only dire warnings against food and drink being brought in). Extraordinary. Despite the nice surroundings, I wont be going back.

As in "WHAT A HELL OF EXPERIENCE"!!! My wife and I together with her brother and sister bravely drove 4-5hrs yesterday just to take a glimpse of this resort. We decided to go there to be able to view it in person and book 30adults and 10 kids for our next month's vacation for 3days. Excited to see the place we immediately went to the reception lobby and asked for our booking and room rates. However, when we asked them to accompany us to check their room, the lady at the reception did not allow us because we might disturb some of their guest...We said its ok if that's the policy. But when we asked if we can just check their pool, we got the same response from the lady...Seriously? we are willing to pay that much but we are not allowed just to see their pool? The management should revise their rules regarding this...I will definitely not recommend this anymore to any of my friends and relatives...you guys deserve a "0" score in terms of guest hospitality!!!

Everything about this resort/hotel is great. The l...

Everything about this resort/hotel is great. The location is the best, it is really beach front, the beach is wide and clean, there is a long stretch of shallow waters with a natural breakwater far from the shore making swimming safe even for small children. The beach is very private, no bystanders nor peddlers. It is a gated resort with security guards manning the beach and the grounds 24/7. It has a big fenced, gated and guarded parking space but located across the street, only a short walk from the resort. They have driver's quarters too within the parking area. I just don't know if there's a fee for staying there. The lawn is well manicured with walking paths making it easy for senior citizens. There are flowers all around, great for photo ops.
They have lots of indoor and outdoor activities free for some time after which you will be charged with manageable fees. Our reservation came with free buffet dinner and breakfast. The dining area is very nice, also beachfront so it comes with a view and is open-air, you get to enjoy the sea-breeze. The food is at par with 2-3 star hotels in Manila, with enough choices for main course, you get salad, soup and dessert. For breakfast they offer a variety of bread, not just pandesal nor pan amerikano, served with their own strawbe ry jam and orange marmalade(which i liked because it has a tinge of bitterness, but they don't sell it, too bad) there's an omelette station and usual choices for breakfast such as fish and corned beef and champorado, fruits and desserts, free drinks, too. This resort is very clean, from the reception area, to the dining area, the pool areas, the beach, esp the rooms and the bathrooms. You wont see insects and cockroaches crawling anywhere, which is what I dread when staying in provincial lodgings. We stayed at sitio amore and per request during reservation they gave us the room nearest the beach. The stairs leading to the second floor is steep, just one flight with no railings, a little difficult to manage for seniors and maybe small children. Another drawback is that the beautiful villas and bahay kubos are a little close to one another. This will be a plus factor for big families but not for those needing privacy. Don't get me wrong that there's no privacy, while we were there, the aura there is serenity, the place is not noisy, although there were plenty of guests. The staff are courteous and attentive, easy to call their attention and there's always someone to call, room service is fast. I will not end without mentioning the beautiful sunset, after all, that is the name of the place. The setting sun there looked bigger and you have unobstructed view until the sun gets lost behind the sea because you're facing the West Philippine Sea. Lastly, the budget, i think the price will be higher than the usual provincial rate, but for all I described above, what you pay for is really worth every cent. We would definitely go back and recommend this place to friends and even enemies, haha.
By the way, in going there from Manila, unless you're passing by Manaog, follow the route they're recommending because the Camiling way is the fastest way.

First of all, I would like to thank Nestor for allowing my English bulldog into the resort and stay in a cage on the porch in front of my room. As an RCI member this resort is the only resort that gave us a 1 bedroom suite. Also NO WELCOME DRINK as opposed to all other resorts we stayed in. Being used to 2 bedrooms or a larger suite, we were uncomfortable in the room they gave us. I did not complain because of the compromise they had given by allowing my dog. We stayed during off-peak dates so there were many rooms (larger rooms) and management could have given us one with a private porch to accommodate my dog and cage, suffice to say very disappointed in their treatment of RCI members. RCI MEMBERS stay away from this resort for you shall receive the cheapest room they have, granted the amount and length of stay.
Customer service is average, house keeping services were EXCELLENT, cleanliness is very good. Pool area was clean, also given off-peak times pool area was almost uninhabited. Amenities were just average being that NO LOTION was present in toiletry kits. Rooms that charge 6.5k to 22k a night should have lotion present. Restaurant food is BELOW AVERAGE, I would suggest to eat out (Sungayan or Zillas grill or Magunguna) for you get better tasting and quantity of food. Jacuzzi was only turned on when customers are present and or asked to turn on. Parking was offsite. Security was GOOD. Overall it would have been a great stay if we had a larger room issued. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO RCI MEMBERS.

One of the best or even the best resort in bolinao (patar beach) but of course expencive special at peak season but affordable at low season ! in the restaurant they added 10 % service charge and closed early at 8 pm. the food and the breakfast was average tasting (breakfast only from 7 to 9 am) ! during my stay only the smaller pool was available as the big pool was under renovation ! they are strict on check out time ! i asked for a late check out at 1 pm but they refused even they had only a very few guests ! by the way they do not have 24 hours reception only from 7 am to 7 pm and i could not get connected to the WIFI as very poor signal in this area ! the room was big and i was surprised that the window type aircon was cooling the room enough ! all in all its a good resort and it was a relaxing stay !

This review is for the "mansion villa", which is located on the east side of the swimming pool.
Rooms - 7/10. Rooms are nice and clean. Price was fair.
Staff - 9/10. They were all polite and very accomodating. They're there when you need them A.S.A.P.
Security - 10/10. I felt very safe here. They have lots of security personnel roaming around. Pool and beach areas have their respective lifeguards on duty.
Food - 7/10. Food was good -except for the price.
Swimming pool - 5/10. The size of the pool is proportionate for the resort size. Water was clean. Tiles were clean. No algae on tiles. Tiles were not slippery. My only problem is that the pool was uncomfortably hot!!! I know i was sweating while in that pool.
Connectivity - 5/10. No wi-fi in rooms. Free wi-fi is only available at the admin office and the restaurant area. Internet speed was average. TelCom signal is also good. I had 3/4 bars on my phone while inside the room.

A terrible place to go for a swim in the sea, the beach slopes into a wide, flat area that at high tide you can walk for a few hundred meters at knee depth before reaching the edge and the vast, roiling sea that is famous for surfing waves. No surfing here however.

What you'll really enjoy doing is swimming in the warm pools and relaxing in the piping hot jacuzzi. The pools which are right outside the rooms are warm enough to swim in even on a cold February morning or evening.

The food while plentiful and good, doesn't have enough variety or uniqueness to make the stay a complete satisfaction.

Aside from the drab dining area the place looks fantastic, with lovely bougainvillea drooping from covered walkways that crowd around the center pool.

At slightly less than P7,000 for two adults it's a bit pricier than places nearer to Manila. That, along with the so-so food and the more-than 5-hour drive, not counting traffic due to construction along NLEX and stopovers along the way, makes it less appealing for just an overnight stay.
