Tru Skincare Review

Cynthia is truly amazing! I did my research well and was fortunate enough to discover Cynthia when I moved back to Boulder a few years ago. Her studio is clean, warm, and inviting. Similarly, her manner is caring, warm, and inviting. But really now, let s talk about Cynthia s talent - OMG. She knows her stuff.

Backstory: My skin has been a challenge since my mid-20s. I ve been through several dermatologists. Gone through rounds of accurate, tetracycline, and an absurd number of other prescriptions. I tried ProActive until I discovered that it was bleaching all of my towels, sheets, and even the plastic on my sunglasses. Then I turned to more natural approaches which involved changing my diet by avoiding sugar, dairy, etc. And I always made sure to work with a skin care professional to help guide me in the best ways to care for my skin.

Today: Cynthia is able to help balance my oiliness, dryness, and occasional outbreaks. She is fantastic at extractions and does just the right level of peel to keep things fresh and rosy. I m approaching 50 now and she is helping me to manage this new era of skin care that involves more emollient moisturizers. Oh, yes, and I would be remiss in not mentioning the loveliness of her product line. Super clean, effective, and not over the top in terms of price.

If you care about your skin and caring for it in the most natural of ways, do yourself a favor and book an appointment with Cynthia and decide for yourself. You won t be disappointed! :)

Cynthia is unbelievable!!!!!! She was so caring, thoughtful and kind. I went every two weeks for a facial when I lived in Boulder and my skin looks amazing. I wish she would move to the east coast ! She never, ever pushed product on me and when I asked her about products, she was very intelligable in regards to how the products work and what to use when. I had a million questions and she answered them with true concern for my skin health. She was also very caring on a personal level. This is five star service and ANYONE in Boulder (whether your male or female, a resident or just visiting) should experience TruSkincare at least once. Cynthia is an angel and she has changed my outlook on skincare for the better !!!!! She also knows how to extract without scarring and with minimal pain. What a relaxing environment !!!! This is truly the number 1 place in colorado for skincare (or dare I say number 1 place in the west !!!!!) and the number 1 place Im going to miss now that Im back east !

I love going to Cynthia!! I've had many facials with other providers in the past and I felt like they didn't really listen to me when it came to my sensitive skin and/or they were pretty rough with extractions leaving me with marks for a week.

I was worried about doing a peel as I'd heard mixed things about them and even had a friend who had a peel go very wrong. But Cynthia was so kind and reassuring, she truly listened to my concerns, and I loved the peel! We did a light one and my skin was just glowing afterward!

So happy I found her. I also love that it's just her in a quiet secluded space and I always enjoy our conversations!

Cynthia did my make-up for my wedding (along with my bridesmaids and mother), and she did an AMAZING job. She does a fantastic job of enhancing (not covering or changing) your features while keeping the look natural. She also uses quality products which don't feel heavy on the skin and don't cause break-outs days later. Wow. Truly as good as it gets. Cynthia blew my mind from the first time we spoke on the phone. Her caring demeanor is first-class, not to mention the effectiveness of her service! I felt wonderful after our time together and she actually brought life to my skin again! I struggle with acne prone skin and the acneic peel did the trick to lightening hyper-pigmentation and easing current blemishes. She spent a fair chunk of time discussing acne triggers and encouraged me to keep fighting to gain answers to holistically heal from the inside out. She never pushed product and answered all of my questions with ease and concern. I highly recommend and look forward to seeing her again!
