I've been a patient for a little over a year due to my last eye doctor decided to join the Ossip mafia. This is probably the best eye clinic I have been to, everybody is very friendly and Dr. Walborn is great. I highly recommend them and only hope they don't join Ossip at some point as well.
I have been a client for years and I never leave disappointed. Great staff top to bottom. Top notch customer service, effortless scheduling, efficiency of visits, and quality care. Would highly recommend Progresive EyeCare and Eyewear to anyone who is looking for a place to have their vision checked/treated without ever dealing with the headaches that commonly come with many doctor offices!
I had phenomenal service at my recent visit to Progressive. The staff was courteous, informative, and professional. Office is very comfortable, and they did an excellent job helping me transition from glasses to contacts. Dr. Walborn was probably the best eye doctor I have been to in a very long time.

They were helpful and got me in and out super fast. I had an issue with a different eyewear store and no one could seemingly get my broken piece fixed. I contacted the company and the company sent the pieces to Progressive Eyecare & Eyewear, who then called me and told me to come in at my convenience. The whole process was seamless and I cannot thank you all enough for pulling off this fixer upper pair of glasses. THANK YOU!

STAY AWAY from this vision center! The owner/doctor is rude and unprofessional! This is the first time ever I saw such a rude doctor that treat the patients in such a way. He was anger at me after I asked some questions about the price. He is not professional, especially the way he treated people seeking help there. I will stay away from Progressive eyecare.

I was really hoping to have a great experience here, as I've been looking for a new eye doctor for awhile now. I called in to try to get a last minute appointment and let them know I could only come in for an hour due to work restrictions. They said this would not be a problem.
The building is a bit old, but decorated nicely on the inside for the most part and the staff was friendly and helped me get me in quickly. Everyone I met was professional and accommodating. The doctor I saw was very kind and helped solve my eye problem quickly, so that was great!
However, I was not seen until 50 minutes after my appointment time. After explaining I could not come back later and needed to get back to work, I was told that there is nothing that could be done and I just had to continue to wait.
I understand sometimes being seen at a doctor is later than expected due to other circumstances, but 50 minutes is pretty excessive and inconsiderate. I'm not sure if I will go back.
Eye exam with insurance costs more than Costco without insurance
Best eye care location in Indy. The staff really wants to help you maximize your benefits and get everything you need. I am a first time contact wearer, but with their guidance I was also able to get new glasses using my insurance.
They will take the time to explain everything and make sure you feel comfortable with the products. I would recommend them to everyone.
I first came here in 2015 to get a pair of glasses. I brought my prescription with me. Now in 2018, I decided I needed a new eye doctor so I went to Dr. Tim Birtwhistle. I very much enjoyed my eye doctor visit. The person who checked me in was efficient, professional, and easy to have a discussion with. She took the time to understand my questions and talked to me without distraction.
The tech who gave me the initial part of the exam also was not distracted and explained everything to me that was happening. She was very personable and a pleasure to be around.
Dr. Birtwhistle explained everything I was seeing (and not seeing) to me along with excellent explanations on why. He, like the others, made it clear that I was his top priority while we were together. I had questions, he listened and answered them all.
After the exam, I purchased new glasses and the good experience continued. The people helping me with the glasses were not pushy at all. They let me take my time in finding the glasses I wanted (it turned out that the ones they initially picked out were my favorite).
I felt welcome. Everyone there helped, did their job very well and were all very intelligent, professional, and friendly.
I would recommend this location to others (I already did)!
PS - I especially like the machine that makes it possible to not get my eyes dilated!
Very disappointment about the lack of follow-up by the staff. You can not get the staff on the phone to make an appointment and they barely respond to email. I regret coming let alone referring customers. Asking for the office manager to provide feedback or complain is like watching paint dry. The service has went downhill over the years. Take your hard earn money elsewhere. There is plenty of other options that will provide professional customer service and follow-up.
Great Doctors and a friendly staff. You will not find a better selection of glasses in the city!

One and done while looking for new eye doc. Contacts are expensive And they made me dilate my eyes. Super silent and corporate in the office. Not for me.

I like them. Always been courteous and friendly to me. Sure, they are more expensive than say costco or even some other places that offer 24 hour lenses but I assure you that there is a reason for that. Their lenses are far superior to the others and the staff is super friendly. I Went to another eyecare office in castleton mall and received lenses in 24 hours but they gave me a headache, and assured me they were the same prescription as my old ones. If you want high quality service, lenses, and frames, come here.
