PROGRESS WEST HEALTHCARE CENTER Review

I was seen promptly by triage and put in a room. The nurse said they'd be back with some medicine for nausea and a pain medication. X-ray came in and took me right away to X-ray and the pain medication and nausea medication didn't come for another hour and a half. I had three nurses during my 5-hour stay there. I had to beg and plead for anything I needed. There was no consistency. The doctor finally came in a little bit after midnight for at least a minute and a half. She said she would look at my x-rays again and come back but never did for another hour so it was very confusing to say the least. I was finally discharged in more pain than when I went there. I followed up from the Saturday night ER visit with a specialist that was recommended on Monday who ordered another test. I'm not sure why that test wasn't running the ER. Because the x-rays did not show what the other test revealed and I was left in pain without any decent instructions on how to attend to my condition. I do not recommend this ER or the hospital for that matter. After 8 years of experience with this hospital it's always been careless unorganized and very poor service from the doctors. Most of the nurses have been very kind but as with any hospital there are a few that should go back to school. I am sorry that BJC has this kind of a hospital in their system. It does not do justice to their name.

Took my husband in on a Friday for severe calf pain. They did a blood test that showed a possible blood clot but refused to call in a ultrasound tech to verify. Told us to come back in the morning and get one, and go to his regular dr with results. Its Monday and we still dont have any results. Call his regular dr and they never got any info on his visit from friday night.

I would avoid going to this hospital. I'm not really sure what exactly they do treat. Each time I take my kids they transfer them to children's. They couldn't even do a broken bone. Don't waste your time, just go to Mercy or St. Luke's instead.

The staff at Progress West was amazing! We were there to celebrate the arrival of our son. From the moment we came through the doors, we were treated with respect, compassion, and understanding of our needs. The nursing staff was top notch, and this was by far my best experience with a hospital. Highly recommend!

I came in to the ER at the insistence of mercy urgent care due to two blows to the head. Dr Kent Sutterer did no neurological testing on me (which mercy had done and was what prompted them to send me to Progress West), literally the only time he did anything was check my heart. Ordered a CT and took almost 1.5 hours to tell me the results. Ignored all of my symptoms (dizziness, light/sound sensitivity, mental fog) except for the headache. After 4 hours I was diagnosed with a headache. The doctor and nurses were condescending and disrespectful when I questioned why no neurological testing had been done, and asked, well what did you want to be diagnosed with? I will never return to this ER. Go to Mercy hospital, I wish I had.

It was a busy night unfortunately so the wait to get in was significant. The care I recieved was top notch. Dr. Weston and the team there worked quickly.

We just had our first baby girl on 3/6. Everything was top-notch, from doctors and nurses to housekeepers and meal services. I would not hesitate to recommend Progress West to anyone for OB/GYN, labor and delivery, and postpartum services. We were treated with so much respect and patience that I would really want to leave a 10 star review.

Amazing! Online check in at the ER is a lifesaver. I was able to wait at home. Got right in. They listened and were very caring. I just wrote a 1 star review for a competitor. Waited at the competitor for 4 hours. Here they were nice, knowledgeable, quick and caring. Thank you.

I m not sure why this ER has such bad reviews. I came on a Friday night I was seen quickly & everyone was very friendly. The pediatric side is phenomenal too I d recommend anyone to go here.

Seeing the negative reviews for this facility made me want to share my experience.
Progress West has AMAZING services. When we had our baby, my wife was very comfortable. We had a private room, the food was ridiculously cheap for what was provided, and care was just a buzz away. Once our baby was here, the staff was attentive and made sure we were comfortable. They even offered to care for our infant for a few hours at one point so we could catch up on sleep (dads, the sofa folds into a comfy bed for you)
