Pros: Staff are very kind and approachable, passionate about their clients and efficient when it comes to finding them jobs. On the same day as my interview with my contact, she found my first interview for me on the spot. They will sell you to your interviewers even when you aren't so great at selling yourself, as was definitely the case with me. I will forever be grateful to this company for helping me get my foot in the door.
Cons: At least with me, there was very little follow-through from Primary Services after I was offered a job. They had me fill out some paperwork, handed me an employee handbook which only pertained to Primary and told me to make sure not to do anything that would reflect poorly on them, which was expected. What was not expected was that, upon further inquiry on how payroll worked, instead of an answer I received a prompt to fill out this review.
The 4 stars is because the follow-through was the only aspect I found lacking, and because I don't have experience dealing with other employment agencies so I can't really compare Primary to any others. I highly recommend bringing up the subject of payroll and Primary's hand in your employment when you get the chance to talk face-to-face with one of the staff members, to avoid the issue that I had with it. Overall my experience was good and I would definitely recommend Primary to anyone looking to work with an employment/temp agency.

I applied for a position on LinkedIn that Primary Services had posted and was immediately contacted by a recruiter, Colin O Bier, and he went more into depth about the position and was striving for me to get the position the entire time. This place has a lot of people coming in to fill jobs. They have you do an assessment/ general skills test on the computer. I was told by two separate individuals that I was a shoe-in for this position. These guys actually scheduled me to go to an interview during a time when the company s HR manager was scheduled to leave on vacation. The company ended up going with (probably) an internal pick since I didn t really get a fair chance to make an impression with the right person. After weeks of waiting and being told that they pushed back, primary services finally let me know it wasn t a fit. I m pretty sure these people get paid a part of their contract based on how many individuals come in and take that assessment. Just something to keep in mind if you hear that you re a great fit, or a shoe-in.
I worked with John Han at Primary Services and cannot say enough good things about him. Not only did he go out of his way finding the best job to place me, he did an awesome job selling my skills and services to the potential employer. And may I add how quickly everything happened.
I also want to mention how welcomed I felt at the office during the on boarding process. This is company definitely provides a white glove service to their recruits and it s a breath of fresh air.

I was very nervous going into Primary Services on Monday morning. However, when walking in I was immediately greeted by two very kind front desk receptionists. I was given instructions on how to take the required assessments before I met my recruiter. First, I interviewed with Liz. She is GREAT! She made me feel very welcome and my anxiety completely disappeared. She had such an enthusiastic attitude and was able to bring out my best qualities. I had a second interview with Carlos and he was just as kind and helpful! I would 100% recommend Primary Services. Not only was their facility clean and modern, the employees were outstanding too! Was emailed a job interview to attend , I show up, and the client had the incorrect resume, no one apologized for wasting my time my gas, etc..my background didn t perfect match what that employer was looking for, but then again it was only for customer service , and what job these days don t have CS involved? Like you have to deal people no matter what job you have mostly. I have 15 years experience in Collections and believe me customer is always involved. This staffing agency looks somewhat okay but is highly unprofessional and unorganized, if I could give a 2 thumbs down I Would!!

I came in Saturday for an interview with Carlos at 10:30am on time. Primary Services was a nice place from the beginning. The Receptionist was very nice they helped out alot. I also enjoyed myself talking with Tony and the other lady about this new position they presented me with. That they also said I was a great fit for and for sure I will be able to get. Espeacially since how close it was around my area. Which was only 15 minutes away. The last interview which I was waiting for was with Carlos was great, he even told me that I might be a great fit as well and told me to send in a email to basically secure my position. The following Monday I get an call stating that Im hired and that they wanted me to start Wednesday. I couldn't been so happy because finally someone saw something in me to get this type of opportunity that has better pay and is close to my home and give me a chance to be able to really provide for my family. So Tuesday I come in to sign my Onboarding.And like life situations that I know people have I was late to my 8:30 appointment due to traffic. So while on the way there I called to let them know. So I get there its 8:58 And I am Nervous and I feel horrible because of how late I was to meet up with Ms.Merlene. So I meet up with Ms.Merlene and the interview that basically went sour because I was late and some supposedly (feedback.) Which I felt like I was being judged based on a life situation that I repeatedly apologized for. And to think I was originally supposed to just talk with her about the position and basically sign the onboarding papers to start my position. I am very disappointed at this experience because I felt like I was sold a dream and that I wasted my time, money and gas as well. I was really looking forward to start today Wednesday like they said I would. But unfortunately people there like Ms.Merlene must have it way too good in life to the point where she just cant understand real life situations and that things happen. Primary Services needs to understand that people arent always perfect and just because we make one mistake that doesnt mean someone should hold it over your head of the reason why they dont want to give you the position. I also tried later through out the day to call Carlos and no response back which is very unprofessional. I left a msg to see why and to see If I didnt get that position is there also a way he can help with me finding another. Because of how I need a Job. I am very disappointed into this company very dissapointed.
Very relaxed environment and great way to start a relationship with a potential long term employer. A very current company that focuses on making it easy to start your career. I would suggest all college grads at least come and see what they can do for you.

Me and my roommate moved out here to Houston from Jersey exactly one month ago. Within our first week, we both received interviews from employers. Even in the COVID economy when the job market was scarce, the folks at Primary Services were able to place me at an excellent company where I am able to gain incredible experience as a fresh graduate. "Better to be slapped with the truth, than kissed with a lie." That was a quote once shared in a morning email by the CEO. I can t help but reflect on this quote now because Primary has literally flagged my honest review on Glassdoor to the point of removal. I guess you rather live a lie after all. Where is the I in integrity?
Pros: The office itself is nice and modern, large enough to contain the irrational behavior that goes on inside. You develop grit and self-efficiency because you re essentially asked to figure everything out by yourself. The only operating engine in this organization is the payroll team and that s because the CFO (only person with business acumen) manages this group. If you re calculating enough, you can influence upper management to perceive you as the future of Primary, which ultimately can get you to be a part of seminars and training that can benefit you long-term. They have a rolodex of Fortunate 500 clients who send many payrollers Primary s way which keeps business afloat. IN addition, you get foster and create associations with some genuinely nice people who are in the same Primary boat of despair.
Cons: Primary is a business with potential to multiply in size if it was led by a suitable leadership team. There are zero standard operating procedures when it comes to recruitment and human resources, so either you know how to Google, or you ll be looking for a job shortly. The leadership team is aware of this but 31 years later, here they are wondering why everything is stagnant or worsening. Every morning there is a senseless staff meeting held to start the day. Ironically, you leave the morning meeting feeling like your day just ended. At first it seems nice until every day passes by and they show you a new layer of evil behind every morning message. Think of an onion, the more you peel it, the more likely you ll cry soon. There is no clarity on hierarchy, so you ll never get a proper one-on-one or any type of counseling. The only time I ever felt like there was any type of support was with the former VP who was let go because she went to Mexico. A lot of the staff like a solid 90% are new entry-level recruiters who don t know what they re doing and don t know who to go to for support. It s depressing because some of these kids (very young crowd) are eager to learn and grow but instantly realized that s not what they re going to get here which leads to the turnover rate. Turnover rate is garbage. Make sure you ask this if you re interviewing for them. Internally, they ve had 56 employees resign and or get fired due to not being a culture fit . How many times do you have to do this until you get it right? Isn't it ironic that a staffing company whose foundation is to recruit can't seem to do it for themselves? I mean it s not rocket science.
Advice to management: You need to wake up and correct your behavior. Going around calling people names behind their backs like hair washer, Gestapo, pretty note taker, sugar cheeks, ice princess, and etc. isn t influential WBEA language! Instead of paying people $5 Starbucks cards to write good reviews, make the changes you want to see, be the difference, follow your quotes, and stop listening to Attiya.
Personally what I have experienced is that the culture of Primary Services is very inspirational and easy to blend in. Specifically by the collaboration, rapport between employees and above all else how invested the leadership is to motivating and coaching for success. Especially Ms. Miriam Lopez-the vp of the company, Ms. Marlene, Mr. Antonio and Ms. Nicolette- always willing to help above and beyond and very cooperative and understanding. Mr, Antonio literally sat with me and helped with my resume. Ms. Nicolette voluntarily helped me through grooming and polish myself in the corporate world. I remember when I scheduled the first interview I could not make it because of something personal, I contacted Ms. Mariam and she rescheduled it immediately and the second time I left home an hour earlier but my bad I was 30 minutes late due to the traffic and on my way I found out i have lost a loved one. My days are not like this always but it was one of those weeksit was just one of those weeks. Ms. Marlene still managed to meet me for a couple of minutes with a very positive response even though she was on her way out for a meeting. I was so nervous and anxious that I messed up my impression and i remember I was so upset and literally in tears that I have missed a life time opportunity because HR is my passion and i was so close to get my foot in the door. Despite of my unintentional unprofessional behavior Ms. Miriam called me herself in person and gave me another chance. She is the VP of the organization, has so many other things and responsibilities to look after but still she managed to contact me herself.HR Especially the workshops that are conducted at Primary Services are very knowledgeable. If given a chance I won t even think twice to work directly with such great leaders in fact the entire team of Primary Services. They look out for their employees. Thanks to each and every member of primary services work family.

I have never been mistreated, ignored or lied about until I was "employed" by this company. The employee does not matter to this company. I was discriminated on because I was pregnant & when I put in my paper work for maternity leave they allowed me to believe that all would be well & that I still had a position upon my return-NOT THE CASE! They quit answering my calls, sending me to voicemail with no call backs and pushed me to the side until enough was enough for me. I eventually filed unemployment on them & had it not been for my emails (proof) this company's lies would have prevailed. I will not ever recommend this company for employment.

My first few interviews went extremely well. Once emails staring coming through from multiple departments and people it became very overwhelming. The background check is very extensive and requires a lot of information that some people may or may not have. In between all the calls and emails i had car trouble and was not able to meet my Drug screen deadline twice. I never mentioned the car issues because honestly multiple jobs have made me feel like outside life isn't important to them . I think jobs forget that we are human and things happen and it makes employees feel like if we communicate those minor setbacks its looked at as excuses . I really appreciate Attiya being transparent and listening to everything that went wrong as i am trying to complete this onboarding. She was very Ginuwine and open and we need more people like her in the corporate world .

I recently moved down to Houston from New York and though the move was daunting the staff at Primary Services were exceptionally cordial, professional, and most importantly supportive of my job aspirations. I mainly worked with Trish and Caroline and they were delightful to say the least. They always made sure I was advancing myself and set me up with opportunities in the right capacity for my individual goals. I have worked on and off for Primary Services since September 2006. I can honestly say that I have been placed at some of the most reputable, respectable corporations ever! I primarily worked for Primary in my early 20s. I found a few jobs on my own which were permanent positions. I relocated and went through a temp agency in Tennessee, and I hated it! Primary Services does not have an office there. Naturally, when I relocated back to Houston, I remained with the staffing agency I was with in Tennessee.
Here's the twist:
Kimberly Jeansonne was working for that staffing agency I was with in TN (transferred to TX). She placed me at a good job, and I stayed there until my assignment ended. I went back to Primary because I did not like the old staffing agency. To my surprise, Kimberly had moved on to work for Primary Services! She immediately found a job for me, which I was hired on with permanently after 4 months of temp work! I remained at that job for almost 3 years (lay-off). Of course I went back to Primary after I was laid off. Kimberly found me another company to work for shortly after I reconnected with her, and I cannot say enough about her professionalism.
I see many negative posts on here, and everyone has his or her own review based upon individualized experiences, but I can honestly give my review without falsehood, and I HIGHLY recommend Kimberly Jeansonne as a recruiter. I have nothing but the utmost respect and admiration for her professionalism and concern for my employment needs. I applied online for a position I saw posted on Indeed. I got a call back from Ornella, went in to meet with her and some of her supervisors/managers. She was wonderful, and supposedly was going to submit me over to 2 clients and I should be hearing back the next day with an interview. It has now been 3 weeks since I last heard from her she will not answer my calls or emails. She just flat ignores them. How unprofessional of the recruiter to do this.! Now let me tell you that I'm not new to the recruiting industry and know how clients work, I've been on the other side of the desk before and recruited myself . I just feel like she could have at least acknowledged my emails and calls. If the clients were not ready to hire, she could have said so as well, instead of wasting my time.!! I'm glad other job seekers did land a job, unfortunately that was not my case. Advise to Primary services- communication is the key! And like someone else on here mentioned " I'm sure you don't treat your clients like that !" Or do you???
