Suffers the fate of coexisting in quaint Langley with the king of island restaurants down the road. The food is average Italian. The ribeye was fatty but then I had kobe steak for lunch. The highlight: real raclette!

We've dined at Prima Bistro many times, and keep coming back for more. All the staff are marvelous - efficient, knowledgeable, and friendly. The food is terrific, and many selections change with the seasons. The Friday/Saturday night specials are hard to turn down. The wine and beer selections are wonderful, and the cocktails are fabulous - best Moscow Mule I've fund anywhere. I've given up ordering one unless I'm at Prima.

I was at Prima last weekend. The restaurant was super clean and the servers were friendly and on top of it. The food was delicious as it has always been for me. So nice to be out for a great meal and to feel safe. Bravo!

This is a pretty nice place. Outdoor seating with a nice view, blankets and heaters when it is cold. Seafood is fresh; the trout, clams and chorizo, and crab were our favorites. While the food is certainly of high quality, it is priced to match and is by no means the best seafood. Service is friendly and we did not feel rushed at all. Beer selection is limited to 5 or so taps. Wine selection is extensive.

Went here for dinner, and though we had more people join our party midway through our meal (who were a bit difficult), the staff handled it without even a hesitation. Incredibly accommodating. Our dinner was quite good as well. Really enjoyed the rooftop view and ambience. Would go again if ever back on the island!

I was expecting something amazing from all the great reviews. I wasn't overly impressed with the food at all. There was also a strong cleaning product smell in the restaurant which is good that they clean, but bad for the dining experience. 2 stars only because staff were friendly.

If you want great service and great food. The food at this place speaks for itself, then add amazing cocktails, chill-friendly service. They are doing it right at prima If Caysie is working order a martini, you won't be dissapointed.

Great service and stellar food! We had to wait a bit for our table to be ready on NYE and the owner bought us a round of drinks. Everyone was very knowledgeable and friendly and the food was DELICIOUS!! The menu is both creative and comforting, highlighting classic French bistro favs. We ll definitely be back!

Fish & Chips were good. .lightly breaded and great taste. Almond prawns were the best thing we ate. The service was so-so, we felt like the waitress could have been a little more helpful with suggestions on the menu, we had to Google some of the items to see what they were. Apparently there was an ice shortage because they gave us no ice at all with our water (the only drink we ordered). I don't think i would return, not incredibly impressed.

Walked by this place with my family and grandparents and saw the name Prima Bistro on a door right next to the Star Mart. We wanted to see what this place was all about.

Upon walking in it's a quaint little bistro above a busy market. The staff was able to get us a seat and even accomadate my grandfather who is not able to walk to far.

We ordered a selection of appetizers and found that there was a very interesting selection of items.
(Fried pig ears, bone marrow, escargot.)
We decided to try some of what was mentioned above. As well as some traditional favorites like French Onion Soup which was served in a cast iron pot, and a bistro burger which was cooked to perfection.

All in all it was well worth the price and will definitely be the first place I think of when I want a more upscale and elevated menu.

High price. Food was ok but hard to really tell with how small the portions were. They were out of just about everything I went to order. Ended up paying way too much for some hard bread and a pickle. The Staff was pleasant though.

I've never had a bad experience there. Beautiful bar, the food is fantastic, they are not a french fry place but their fries are my absolute favorite style, not to mention delicious. The service is always above par they know their menu inside out. The deck is killer in the summertime that you've been give the ladies blankets when the night chill comes in. Outstanding restaurant.

My girlfriend and I were re-seated 3 times. Then finaly offered a seat but by then we figured it would be in a back room closet. Very rude, we obviously didn't fit into their white pant suit tourist quota (my girlfriend is asian)
So embarrassing to us in front of everyone there to be treated so poorly

We had the chicken liver pate and house made pickle for apps. The pate was really good. The pickle was as close to a Mrs. Neusihin's pickle as I've had in years, though a bit more peppery!

Trout was smothered in capers (not my wife's favorite) and my wild boar ragout was very tasty if lacking any 'boar-ness' over beef. We finished with an ice cream sandwich which was about 5" in diameter. Tasted great but a little gauche to eat in a restaurant!

French inspired pacific northwest cuisine that has us always coming back for more. The clams and chorizo are great (and spicy!), the escargot comes in a wonderful sauce, the bread is fresh and tastey, and the salt-crusted fish is mouth-watering. They also have a large wine selection, including from local wineries.

I can't help myself. When I'm in Langley I check out the other places and am drawn back to the tasty food and hospitality at Prima. The last visit was no exception. The fried oysters were savory pillows of joy!

Had a very average experience that was leaning toward disappointed. We came and had some drinks for happy hour and fried and the fried cauliflower. Our service was average, the waitress didn't seem like she had or wanted to take the time to give us service. We got oysters, trout, and the rock fish. The rock fish was bland and the oysters didn't taste fresh but the trout was fine. Overall wouldn't come back

Good! We ordered take out and everything was delicious. We had steak frites and the shrimp pasta and both were great! There were a few things on the dine-in menu that weren't offered as take out which was disappointing - we just weren't ready to dine in yet. Portions are a bit small but overall tasty.

$$$ An excellent meal with excellent beverages. Quite French. Phenominal view of "the Sound". If you are travelling Whidbey, the Langley town center has a lot of accessible shops, views and stroll so you can make your Prima Bistro visit complete.
