Portillos Rockford, ILL Review

You can't get a bad meal here...at any Portillo's really. I had a hamburger with grilled onions. It's pretty big, and very messy but oh so good!

Well worth the time and money. Tasty food, generous servings, cleanest place in town, and affordable. Plus super friendly. All adds up to 5 stars!!!

Food is always great. Try to avoid the lunch rush, it can take a little bit of time during peak time to get your meal.

Great food. Hot dogs, burgers, Italian beef and sausage and much more. Drive thru process keeps things moving even when the line is long.

Chocolate cake shake awesome. Salads italian beef yummy. Lived in another state for few years. We had to stop eat here every time we came home. Stop bye you have taste of Chicago

Grew up eating at this place. I love it. But not the Rockford loxation. Very slow to get food. Not sure what happened to the Chicken fruit walnut salad. I ordered it all the time and now it seems like they use canned chicken. Disappointed.

Chicken Caesar salad...yum! Great food, great atmosphere, different themes for each location, and they have the drive thru thing down to a science. Love this place.

It can get super crowded and busy, depending on when you go. The great food is definitely worth the wait.

Portillo's is an institution. Great Chicago style hotdogs, outstanding Italian beef and sausage sandwiches, and a fantastic group of employees, all combined for a great dining experience

Food is always burnt. Using ketchup to cover up burnt food.

My order was wrong, the people at window two were goofing off and eating food at the window,and the hot dog was terribly under cooked. Hope it's better next time. I would love to right a better review and I would love to enjoy more hotdogs....

Service is fast, though it can be noisy, and food is consistently good. It's a hot dog and sandwich place, not a fancy steakhouse, but the chili cheese dogs are fantastic!

Had the chili cheese dog and a slice of chocolate cake to share with my husband. Perfect meal!

A very well-run restaurant. Also the food is fantastic. I love their hot dogs I love their hamburgers if they're Italian beef is out of this world. I highly recommend it.

Best fast food in the area. Love everything. Top choices: burgers, chili cheese dogs and the Italian Beef. They make a delicious chocolate cake and you can even get a slice mixed into a shake.

I had moved to a small town, I had to go to Rockford, il., and there was Portillo's! I have not had a Portillo's Italian beef in a year and a half!
It was wonderful! Good service, in fact the lady who waited on me was so helpful. My daughter does not eat meat, but loves Portillo's beef gravy. Got a container and a bun, she was so happy. The young fellow who called our numbers was so entertaining! Thank you, Portillo's!! Wish I lived closer!

They have good Italian beef sandwiches most of the time. Chicago dogs are great. The chocolate cake is yummy. Haven't had a salad yet but they look awesome. Seating is usually easy. Sometimes, well most of the time, you wait for awhile, quite awhile, as food is prepared mostly fresh. Usually worth the wait. 4 stars as they get things confused bumping into each other and the cash register folks need to be friendlier. How's that?!

The food is always amazing and they had our food ready for pick-up before the estimated time which was phenomenal!!!

Best place ever to get a hot roast beef sandwich!! The hotdogs and polish's are just as awesome!!! They have great salads and desserts too!!
