Portillos Rockford, ILL Review

I like the Bbq ribs so much and the chocolate cake is so moist. Of course everything else is as good too.

I love portfolios but I have given up on this location. Time after time they just can't seem to get the order correct. Its a new location but that's not the problem because it was just fine for a time. Once I was trapped in the drive through with about 20 other cars for over an hour and had to call inside to let them know that the person running things outside was clearly not concerned. They had lost so many orders that day that they actually gave me a free cake. It was a nice gesture but I have not been back since. They go through employees like they are disposable and I think that's the issue. no matter if your inside or outside its mass confusion.

Good food but a little pricey....over $9 for just a double cheese burger seemed a our $3 more than other good burgers.

Short changed me on my order even though the gal that gave me my order said everything is in the bag.

Best Italian beef sandwiches. Big beef is the way to go. Fries are okay. Fun atmosphere.

Bad day at work? Eclair cake. Your girl mad at you? Italian beef sandwich. Feel like dancing? Their milkshakes bring everybody to the yard. Portillo s is the BEST.

Well I enjoy Portillos. But like every fast food. Or made at order place they mess up from time to time. This happened with my online pick up order. They didn't seam to busy. But my order was wrong. Was I going to be upset. A little. But I had a cake shake. If you don't know what that is, then there is your reason to go. They have everything. Burgers, hotdogs, beefs, beef and sausage, chicken, salad, pasta, and desserts. Cantering. Just give them a try. But check your order before you leave.

Really good chicken sandwich, and the fries were awesome.

Advice: if you use the drive-through, it's best to go when things are slow. That's the difference between having 3-4 cars in line or 15-20. Inside, it has a very nice decor to look at and the same attentive service as well.

I mostly go here for the Italian beef and I am never disappointed; the hot dogs are good too. Compared to other drive-thru chains, it is a little bit more expensive, but well worth trying.

Got home and missing an order of fries. Too late to do anything because closed for Easter. Seemed like it was alot of confusion tonight. First time my order was messed up. But I'm still hungry

Very lively atmosphere! I ve never had a mistake with my order. The food is always great. I love the 1950 s aesthetic!

Usually go to the one in Tempe AZ when I'm on vacation. Glad there are a few not too far from me! Yummy food!

This one is always good. Sometimes the location in Maple Grove, MN can be inconsistent.

Cheap food... very delicious. The food was amazing. The service here is better than most. This place has a great design. Atmosphere is similar to a place in Columbus I loved.

I do prefer mom and pop places and locally owned as the norm but the hamburgers at this establishment are cooked perfectly juicy plentiful tasty I cant say a negative comment.The grill or flame taste is a step that brings this burger to a top tier food item that stands out in the burger world.The burger also arrives consistently delicious time and time again.

Wowsers! Order the combo with cheese and peppers. Thank me later. I drive 3 hours regularly just to eat at portillos.

It's all ways good food there menu items are very diverse so there's something for everyone even the picky ones in the family the burgers and dogs are the best in the city for fast food style setting it's better the McDonald's and Wendy's if you want a burger for sure

I have loved Portillos for years. Normally I'd give them 5 stars but the service at their Rockford location has gone down hill. Not sure who's managing this store but it should be reviewed. Had to wait 15 minutes while at the last drive thru window for 2 hotdogs and a chicken sandwich. Got home and the hot dogs were cold.

It's Portillos. If you don't rate it 5 stars, you don't deserve to eat there.

I have always loved their Italian beef sandwiches. I was so happy when they moved to Rockford.

I travel quite a bit for work, but this is my first time in the Chicago area. A buddy recommended Portillo's to me and said the local favorite is the Italian beef. I must say, that was great. I added the sweet peppers, an order of onion rings, and a chocolate shake. The sandwich was amazing. The onion rings weren't anything to write home about. But the star of the show was that shake. The thing has bits of brownie in it. Y'all know the way to a southern chubby man's heart. Next time I'm in the area, I know what I'm eating.

Haven't had the pleasure eating much from their menu. Awesome salads tho'...

AWESOME chow, great service, pretty well always busy but good stay pace. I moved out from Streamwood and a disappointment WAS that there want a Portillo's nor a Dunkin Donuts BUT now there's a Portillo's and I've got a DD in the Wal-Mart across from my subdivision, yay me, lol. Great chow though, highly recommend!

Excellent food as always from Portillos, but some of the staff was a bit slow especially the three standing near the vending machine. But overall, Portillo's has an excellent atmosphere and very delicious food!

I really liked having the delivery option. The Italian beef sandwich, chocolate cake shake, Chicago style hot dogs are a few of my faves.

This is my go to place for Italian beef! Actually I haven't had anything bad there. Oh and don't forget dessert! The chocolate cake and the Strawberry shortcake is awesome !

Friendly staff, fast service, but I didn't think the food lives up to the hype, had the Italian beef and it was bland, greasy, and soggy. I have definitely had better.

Cool joint. Good shakes and fries. Had the ribs and they were alright. I m biased as I m from Texas. I d try other stuff here though. Little more signage would be nice as it took a minute to know how the place worked.

Not impressed. The food was sub-par. Don't order the fried chicken sandwich if you don't like them to be fish flavored. They fry all the food in the same oil. Gross!

Just stop and picked up a couple of Beefs one regular and one large and a cheese fry , the large Beef had less meat than the regular the fries were Cold! This is the 2nd bad experience I've had here. I've been to several Portillo's in my life and liked them all but, This One Absolutely Sucks!!

Not a fan of carrying a big tray through a crowd..not fun.

Couldn't even get there, address in Google Maps took us to the wrong side of State Street.

Food is good but service can be improved every time we go there something is not in our order and you have to check your stuff right at the window.once we got all the way home and food was missing we ordered so we called and they offered us a gift card in the mail and its been 2 months and still no gift card.

What can I say. This is Portillo's people! A staple of Chicago brought to Rockford. It may get busy at times but they do a great job getting people in and out with their food. A must is the chocolate cake milk shake ( yes that's correct). They blend a piece of their chocolate cake into the milk shake. Also, don't leave for home without a piece of that chocolate cake for later. Enjoy;

Never been to one. Drive-thru setup was cool. I thought I scored extra onion rings, but the person took the order put down two. I found out later that I did paid for it.
