Sorry I'm not a fan of there chicken its just not for me .
I admit it...I'm in love with the spicy chicken and red beans and rice
I mean if you're going to have popeye's... have popeye's in NOLA
Chicken was fresh. Cajun Rice was delicious and the staff were pleasant.
Great staff. They moved the line pretty quick without any issues. Food was hot as expected. Will come again.
My husband and I visited the restaurant today and the night manager Rodney and his staff was very courteous and served us with a pleasant smile. We were served fresh food. I really appreciate him and his staff for a job well done. Especially being short staffed!!
The staff is horrible! It was like a scene from the movie "Don't Be A Menace..." My husband ordered a ten piece and they charged 1 biscuit to each piece, they were loud and inattentive, and very unprofessional. The manager should be reevaluated for allowing such behavior. Plus the whole set up is dumb. It allows for too many mistakes. You should be able to order first, pay, get a receipt, then take that receipt to where they prepare the food so there's no misunderstandings. I'll NEVER go back again!
The Chicken is good. But the atmosphere is hostile. The management allows people from off the street/homeless who are not buying food to occupy tables and utter all sorts of profanity and drink alcohol inside the premise. This sort of behavior is unacceptable in a restaurant-or any place of business. If it wasn't for this type of atmosphere this restaurant on Canal st would get a four star rating from me. I m thinking about never coming back to this popeyes on Canal st. Don't get me wrong I love New Orleans and it is a party town but inside a place of business this sort of activity should not be allowed.
THEY WERE REALLY SWEET!! EVERYONE and the food was fresh and didn't take long at all
Limited menu and no specials. Biscuits over cooked and the chicken was dry. Didn t have shrimp. And the staff was not pleasant and the fact that you have to walk to the back for a to go bag while the associate moves like a turtle to pick up the bag and then move like a sloth to put the food items in the bag.
Pure heaven. Had it the same day as a $40 dinner at hipster restaurant. The Popeye's was better.
Customer has her dog eating off the table. The staff walked by and did nothing.
The manager didn't want to take our coupons talking about she can't see what's was on it, but besides that me and my hubby had a wonderful time
We were desperate after an all day festival. Popeyes did not disappoint.
No parking is in a downtown area in the down town of Nwu Orleans fast food
Friendly staff, but slow. A lot of things on the menu were not available. Otherwise good.
Food was okay, but some members of the staff are a joke. I wish I got the cashier's name, because I dont want to bash all of the staff. But, her attitude with the customers was spicier than the 3-pc combo I ordered. I love that chicken from Popeye's, though.
Way too many steps to get your food and the staff is RUDE! They send you to way too many counters....one for your drink, one to pay and one to have the staff box and bag your food. Who thought of this set-up? You need to be fired!
Rude customer service, we got half the things we asked for. Nasty bathrooms, walked in and there were cans and food on the counter and trash all over the floor. Would not recommend.
All the food I ordered was prepared correctly and came out warm and fresh. It did however take quite a while even though there was no line when i ordered.
The chicken had a very strange smell which was aversive to me.
Want some fast food that is actually good? Popeyes it is. This location is clean and although the service can be slow that is to be expected as it is just on the edge of the French quarter and drunk people slow down the line.
When you want Louisiana cooking why pay tourist prices? Right on Canal Street within a couple of blocks to Bourbon Street.
It baffles me how this place doesn't have at least one Michelin star.
Food was ok. My sweet tea wasn't good at all. Staff seemed unhappy and annoyed to have to serve me.
Ehh. Cafeteria styled service to accommodate the crowds, I guess, considering it was Mardi Gras. Subpar food and service. Any other food option would've been a better choice.
I had to wait 25 minutes for food. All of the dining tables were filthy.
This is probably the flagship of Popeyes. For $5, you can get 4 large pieces of their bonfade chickens. I already had two dinners and three drinks tonight, but I still couldn't resist coming here to visit the born place or Lousinena fried chicken since 1972.
There was a manager there that always kept the place clean and chicken hot and fresh. Since he's no longer there, the quality of the food isn't good. The lobby area is always sloppy and the supplies are never restocked.
Food was fresher.New york has nothing on the new Orleans popey
The chicken was delicious and full of spice & flavors. Moist not dry. Fresh tasty food.
This Popeyes was so clean I didn't believe it was a Popeyes.
Considering the location, was nice and clean and service was good. Food was as expected, delicious. When you ve been enjoying Bourbon St and need to get some grease in your belly to keep you going, then stop here. I will always come back here.
Very disappointed Not only was the staff rude but the chicken was undercooked
Rude, argumentative and indifferent staff. Time to automate and let those who hate their life and jobs find someplace else to be miserable. Most everything is in need of maintenance and a good cleaning. Most of the windows offer a beautiful view of the grimy overflowing dumpsters just outside. The chicken was unbelievably hard and dry. It has been sometime since I'd eaten at Popeyes and it will be a long time (if ever) before I give them another chance to earn my business.
They were out of all 6 of their sauces and the sweet tea. My favorite thing about Popeye s is their blackened ranch, but this one was out of anything to dip the food in and then nothing delicious to wash it down with. Super disappointing. Really slow service and rude/disconnected staff as well.
Chicken taste better than any popeyes I have ever eaten at
The process is very different from what I'm used to in Canada. You order with one person, you pay with a different person, and then it gets back by different person. The food is fresh well cooked well done. Very efficient. not the friendliest stuff but happy with experience. Initially I just really wanted to try it because I know that their original Popeyes is from Louisiana I wasn't disappointed. Also fairly clean restaurant
The staff is clueless and trying to actual pay is convoluted. they are so confusing and the menu was hand written with only 2 options. when you ask how something else is they say you can get it but don't know how much it cost you would have to walk over to the cashier after you get your food.
Horrible service, and I dont know if they changed there grease when frying the chicken but after eating there I was on the toilet for the rest of the day.
I thought by it being for new Orleans the taste would be better but no it like the same one by my house in chicago lol
Great place to ger dood after drinking while waiting for the uber!!
Tasted like the Popeye's in NC...everyone says the locations in Louisiana are better/different. The staff was nice. It served its purpose so that's what matters.
U would think you would get the best Popeyes in New Orleans.. not true..the original chicken wasn't seasoned..this place wasn't appealing to be on Bourbon Street.. confusion from workers about orders..just a hot New Orleans mess!!!
Quality Popeyes restaurant. Setup is conducive to the busy area.
I know what u need but u gotta tell me what u want.
Good food, greater service. The employees are very nice and considerately help you
Popeye's Chicken is fried chicken at its best red beans and rice is the side I like plenty of options on the menu plenty of brake options at the drink machines always friendly fast service
