Even here where it all began, you still can't get SPICY chicken. It was hot, but not SPICY.
Always busy, but worth the line for this Louisiana staple. Nothing like Popeyes in New Orleans. Food was hot and we had plenty live entertainment inside and outside the restaurant!!!
Was in the mood for fried chicken this hit the spot
Rude cashier. Some of the employees clearly do not care about their job.
Visited here on a Saturday night. A rowdy crowd was here inside and outside. Food was ok. Service ok but not a good place to be Saturday nights.
I wish they completly open seating. Theres no way to socuil distance with the number of people who are eating here. But I always get tenders either naked or spicy with the Mardi Gras sauce. I get 2 drumsticks just for Lagniappe and added protein. The mashed potatoes are pretty good too. I think they're running a wing special now. Anyway popeyes has been packed since the pandemic, this location is no different
Fat Tuesday they did an awesome job and they were getting everyone in and out the food was hot the older guy that bagged my food was kind and polite great job guys
It was really clean and the employees were really nice
A fight broke out in the restaurant when 1 patron said another touched his bag of food... complete gong show
Food was bland, perhaps the spicy chicken is better.
Always have to wait to order for a long time and then you are pulled up and have to wait almost 20 minutes for your food
We ordered a 16 piece meal, they gave us 2 BBQ packets, and told us that it would cost extra for anymore. We ordered 5 drinks, we got 4, Ordered 5 biscuits, got 4. When we went back up to ask for the rest of what we ordered, they gave us a bunch of attitude, and then gave us a single BBQ packet. Never going to this Popeyes again, honestly turned me off from the entire chain.
Absolutely disgraceful service, very dirty, pissass rude-combative employees. Canal St store.
Can care less for their services, employees was not very pleasant or polite
Lines are always long... Beggers are always outside this Popeyes
I was told that it's better in New Orleans but it wasn't. I've had better at my neighborhood restaurant.
Food was truly delicious. I see why it was originally from New orleans
My Chicken Sandwich was on point! Thank you Popeyes Canal St NOLA. You always come thru. Chicken was made fresh. Red beans and rice could have be fresher, but overall it was an excellent price.
Good food but staff could be friendlier and more professional
They were out of fries, Cole slaw and 5 out of 6 sauces! Very disorganized (no manager on site?) This should be a flagship for Popeyes but it's a disgrace
Fast service. But, everything else was not appealing. Also very crowded, I had to wait for a seat.
Best chicken sandwich and real fast service. They get things done.
Extremely long wait for chicken and Fry's and it taste like rubber never will go there again
One particular person behind the counter was so rude. The cashiers was so sweet
Great food!!! I've had Popeyes chicken in other states but New Orleans Popeyes is the best!!!
it depends if you want a lunch where you just go in and order a meal and leave with that meal or do you want to see top shelf drama where the cashiers are yelling at the customers and kitchen staff. today they ran out of biscuits so the kitchen started giving out extra chicken pieces. When those people reached the cashier she started charging for the pieces but the customers were telling her that those pieces were instead of the biscuits. Well that is when the yelling and drama started. I didn't get a biscuit ( or an extra piece) but I have a story for the rest of the day
I don t eat a ton of fast food, but this has become my go-to place to get a quick (and reasonably priced) bite to eat before a movie at the Theatres at Canal Place. I hadn t bene to a Popeye s before this one and I m not sure if the ordering setup is standardized for all stores or unique to this one (you order like counter service at a cafeteria). I also think the napkin/sauce station is a bit funny (and seems overkill to have it staffed full-time).
Food was fresh an hot cook to perfection tenders was crispy an juicy. The customer was good.
We tried it in New Orleans. 35 years ago. The taste for spices and spices are characteristic of Lousiana. Then we have eaten Popeyes several times. Very rich.
Okay nothing special last message I got from you was
Not your usual Popeyes. the layout is going to throw you off but the staff on like any other Popeyes I ever been. They been the most friendliness and helpful to their regular with disabilities.
Would have been better if the menus were above the counter so people could see and decide while queueing before ordering. Staff was ok at best; some were rude. Original flavor chicken not that good. Spicy one was better.
Line is always long because it is so close to Bourbon Street. But it's always good.
The food is great and the place huge but the restrooms were really dirty.
Food was good the service not so much, definitely not what we expected coming to the place of southern charm.
Great location, very friendly staff. For the most part the facility is kept really clean. I am only giving it 4 stars because sometimes the food is really good and some days its not so great.
Dirty and has staff guarding condiments and refills.
Ok I suppose, I'm from out of town, loud people in the place, customers rolling up joints in the lobby, outside the restaurant also, it is what it is but kids were in there, soooo not the best look, hey I just see, and mind my own business, just shouldn't be done where young kids can see that. But it's New Orleans so maybe I'm wrong for thinking it's a little odd. Just do the Mary Jane a little out of sight of the kids please.
Most unorganized establishment I have ever been in, it has completely ruined my first second and last popeyes experience for life and I will probably never enter another popeyes for the rest of my life based purely on how this location functions way too many options in the area to ever go back there.
Store is dirty, very slow, employees seem to totally hate life, and they were out of half the food we tried to order
Rats in here. This is an unfortunate event at this restaurant. I went to eat some fried chicken. While I was waiting on my order, a mice came from the trash can to my table. I told to a couple of the employees there at 12:23pm Saturday night and these girls were careless about it. I just left my order and left the restaurant when I saw the employee didn't care about having pest in the restaurant. THIS SHOULD GET AN INSPECTION, because it won't pass.
One tour guide said the Popeyes wherever we lived, wouldn't be as good as you'd find in New Orleans as this is where they all started. We had fried chicken and popcorn shrimp. Never again at any will we eat popcorn shrimp or try another Popeyes. The fries were okay.
They had no fries and we were told it after 20 minutes of queue.
How can you run out of fries in a fast food ??
The staff was on the phone instead of doing something for the guy who dropped sauce on the floor.
