This is the largest Popeyes I've ever been to and they were impressively efficient. Can't complain at all about the service they provided our students (group of 55).

Stopped by there after gambling. I got the munches, i stopped there on the way back to the hotel.i waited a few minutes and once i got to the front, i said hi can i get the number 7, she looked at me like hate and didnt want to be there. She went to get my food and coughed loud while she reached for the food. She didnt cover her mouth, i told her don't cough on my food . It disgusted me and left the line. I live in dallas , the same thing. We don't go to our neighborhood popeyes. We got over cooked chicken stuck to the bone. We ordered to go and thats what we found when we got home. We didn't complain , we just decided not to go there again . And now I'll never stop there again or any other of their franchises.
Order the blackened chicken. It was a sorry excuse for food.
Employees were rushing people through and seemed irritated when we asked for drink refills. Chicken was a bit hard. A man (customer)approached us and was upset we were throwing away food the kids didn't finish, told us how people were hungry on the streets. I'm not going to hand over half eaten food. That's an insult. But I did box up what was left over that we were going to take with us and gave it to the man to give to the people he thought needed it. Dont think we will be back as we dont live there. But it wasn't the best POPEYES we've had either.
Best Damn Chicken in the South,We ate there twice in two days
The chicken I did not like very much, the pieces are very small and they use a lot of spice, which likes the idle can visit this place
Food is good. However, the place is not very clean.
I ve been to a lot of Popeyes and this is hands down THE WORST one I ve ever been to!!! They need a Popeyes rescue team ASAP!
To say that they were extremely busy everything was great!
Popeye's chicken is better in Texas. I expected it to be great since we were in New Orleans but it was only average.
Worst experience ever
Don t eat here. Service could not be worse. Waited over 45 minutes and order was still wrong.
Ok, we went for a Saints game (before the 2019 bad referee call...). Anyway, after having not been there in 25 years, I was surprise to see Popeyes still on canal street. I was really suprised to see willie's chicken( name correct?) also. We read online about who has the best chicken. So we did a two store fried chick crawl. Willies was first. The chicken took a while to get to our table. It was right out of the fryer with not drip time, put on our fries which got soggy. The chicken was ok. We went to popeyes, went through the line and got our food and fries, organized appropriately. The chicken was good and spicy and the fries crisp. We don't do fast food often, but Popeyes on canal was easily better tasting than Willies. They are more organized too, maybe because they have been around quite a while. I will note, the canal street popeyes chicken tastes must better that what popeyes serves in the austin area.
Mediocre and is used as a hangout for shifty people. I was not even halfway through the door that a guy asked me if I wanted some drugs (I wish I was joking).
Their biscuit was next to inedible and they had no po'boys. The whole time (around 10 pm I guess) there were people "hanging around" both entrance door, making the location feel pretty unsafe compared to the rest of the French quarter.
To avoid. If you want fast food there is a Macdonald about 100m from it on the same street.
The Best Popeyes in New Orleans, La.Keepers of the taste.
As i walked in the entrance door to popeyes me an my wife an 3 children were greated by a man named brian he was so kind to us an greated everyone who entered. He gave us directions to order at in the building. As we got our food order an walked to the area to get our condiments. Mr. Brian was so nice he had a wonderful smile an hos attitude was fantastic. As we ate we heard Mr brian greet everyone who entered in to the building. He was up on it all .Matter of fact he was the only one greating your customers in the doors . NO ONE ELSE WAS .YOU NEED MORE PEOPLE IN THE WORLD LIKE HIM .MR Brian is an amazing man. He kept cleaning an doing more work than the other lobby workers . We live for away an we will love to go eat there again an hopefully tha man will be there so we can again thank him in person an buy him a gift cause he has so much love for his job an his surroundings. Again we want to thank Mr.Brian for his kindness an for being so understanding. He spoke an mentioned that he loves working there an he spoke highly of his manager Mrs . Amanda. Thank you Mrs Amanda for giving us the best place to eat at in New Orleans. An for Mr.Brian he is the light of your popeyes
Different experience than back home (MI) however the food was good. Place was clean
Service is a bit slow. Staff is friendly and the store is usually clean.
It's Popeyes! Consistently good food. Service at the counter this time was very friendly...except for the girl packing up our to go bags. Don't expect excellent service at this location just great food.
It's late, you're hungry, and on a budget. Fast service with a few semi-healthy options. Staff could be a bit friendlier.
Food was not good and it was warm there attitude was bad
A lot of pieces of my chicken was batter, rather than actual meat. When placing my order, all employees I encountered were rude. When I got to the counter (after waiting in line a while) I looked up at the menu to ensure my correct order number, one of the male employees repeatedly yelled, "I know this customer didn't get the front of the line and look at the menu!!" Other employees laughed with him. The employees were yelling and had an attitude when handing me my tray of food and cashing me out. The chicken and red beans and rice was not worth the long wait.
Definitely the worst service I've encountered so far while in NOLA.
Great fried chicken mashed potatoes and sweet tea. Yum yum
I always like popeye's so it almost comes down to employees and cleanliness of the restaurant. Everyone was friendly and the dining room was clean, even as busy as they were.
Even though they where super busy they got the food out in no time
meh. food tastes amazing but it actually kills you. But still, that chicken...
Not tastefull, personal yet motivated, 1 time experience
Its very clean in the inside. They take your order real fast, because they don't want anyone to wait and all the employees greet everyone that comes up to the counter.
Without a doubt the BEST Popeyes Chicken I ve ever eaten and the vibe and decor is great as well- long lines but well worth the wait
My first taste of Louisiana chicken and it was very good. Plenty of room to sit and eat even with the street merchants at the first couple inside tables.
Idk why this Popeyes was the best I'd ever had, maybe because I've only had Popeyes in California. I'm sad they didn't have any honey for my biscuit.
Staff was stressed and disorganized when one register had technical problems. It took 10 mins to open other registers and pay for food.
Food was ok
Different from Florida
You would think that a Popeyes, in the middle of the most famous city in the state that Popeyes was born in could at least have good chicken. You would unfortunately be mistaken. Nightmare to even get in the door, cold chicken and just as cold staff.
Visited this location while on vacation in New Orleans. This Popeyes has a great process in place, thus no matter how busy they are you are likely to get your food fast! By far the freshest food and overall best service out of all the Popeye's i've been too.
Place is very clean overall, including the bathrooms. Very happy, courteous, and helpful staff.
TIP: It's a little unusual for a fast food joint, but if you want your order "to-go" you have to get it bagged by the hostess in the middle of the store. This is also where you'll get ketchup, napkins, etc.
The chicken was good but the cashier lana never gave me my change. They owe me 15.00. Called manager and no results. SMH.
Popeye's was delicious in New Orleans! Especially since the Founder of Popeyes (Al Copeland) is from Louisiana. So if you like Popeyes where your from...your gonna really love it in Louisiana.
Why can't all Popeyes.tase as good as the ones in New Orleans, or have the Cajun spices. I live in Atlanta and have never seen the Cajun Spices offered
Was very nice people and a clean service area in the restaurant thanks for the wonderful staff
I would give 100 score to ur staff when u walk in its a clean environment ~ Jackie harvey
My fav location for tasty Chicken. Good place to relax and unwind. I will be back with my friends.
Rude staff members. Stood in line for a long time before anyone asked to help us,because they were too busy laughing and talking amongst themselves. Poor customer service.
I was always told that Popeyes in new Orleans was the best that's a lie
I've received less efficient meals in a mess hall. This location is unreal and I love it.
Everyone has a great personally and their Chicken is always Fleshly Fried plus no long lines Nice Dining Atmosphere
Horrible just awful! Horrible service, the staff had terrible attitudes. The set up was extremely strange and all our food was cold. I definitely won't be going back.
This has been the wrost spot ever to eat food was normal
The employee or Treyvon or whatever really was racist to my friends just because they weren't colored which is very ignorant we left fast kept staring and whispering under his breath . Employee at cashier had no emotions or cared of being at work. I understand its not resturant but respect and treating the people spending money should be treated just as human and quit with the ignorance or find another anti social job
Food was well cooked and tasty, however, the service was friendly but so slow, four people walked out because of how long it was taking to be served. My food took an extra 5 minutes which was fine because they had run out of spicy chicken for the sandwiches. The cleanliness was not very good with previous customers food on the seats and tables whilst some staff just stood around talking to their friends. Would I go again? Maybe, for the spicy chicken sandwich but I would get it to go next time.
Staff were slow, unenthusiastic, and mumbling curses under their breath. When my wife received the wrong order, they were very slow and unapologetic in fixing the order. I'll avoid this location in the future
The only other time we ate there was when it first opened. Service was horrible, three people ahead of us and we waited 20 minutes just to order. Girl was new and the manager didn't want to give her any help because her shift was over. We finally got our order and it was wrong. Roped off area in the seating because of a broken window that hadn't been fixed. I would not recommend.
