One of my favorite experiences ever! True farm to table! The ribeye was spectacular! Such a special place!
One of my favorite experiences ever! True farm to table! The ribeye was spectacular! Such a special place!
Beautiful setting for a meal - Los Poblanos is a historic inn set on 25 acres of lavender fields. Loved everything - we ordered the smoked brisket and chilaquiles. Our favorite place to stop in ABQ. Don't forget to check out the gift shop to pick up some lavender infused souvenirs.
The food is always perfection! The ambiance is so comforting but I wish the servers and bartenders were more friendly, prompt and helpful. Small place with great food and style!
Amazing food, great service, and a gorgeous setting
It is fair to say that Los Poblanos is one of my favorite destinations, for rest, on earth. I have traveled extensively and it confounds me that this place rivals anywhere I have visited, anywhere. It helps to have a great bar and excellent restaurant on site and an excellent Mexican food restaurant a few blocks away. Staying a few days reenergizes me, every time! Go! You will love it. The gift shop is fun too....and the breakfast is the best in town, bar none.
What an amazing place! We stopped by for drinks and ended up getting dinner because we got a table. Scott was helping us today and he was terrific. He was able to explain the cocktails and go into the gin profile.
We had such a great time and we owe Scott for that! He talked to us about the farm and we took some pictures afterwards. The menu changes but we recommend any NM style dishes!
Matt, Joseph, and Autumn do a fantastic job at the bar. They are so knowledgeable and very well versed with the menu and artisan drinks they create. Amazing service and beautiful food and drinks. You can get the full restaurant menu at the bar and enjoy watching Matt, Joseph, and Autumn work their magic.
I love everything about this place! Food, nature, people, facilities
You must eat here. It's a bit spendy, but worth every cent. The food is cooked to perfection, and absolutely to die for. Farm to table with a New Mexican flair. You're invited to tour the kitchen, which is a truly unique experience.
Great date spot. Really beautiful property and very romantic. The food is great as well. Had the rib eye and never had anything like it, with green Chile s and blue cheese. Will go every time I m in ABQ.
Excellent service, fantastic and delicious food and relaxing Valentine's day.
Delicious and warm atmosphere. It was so nice to spend our anniversary dinner at Campo. They serve an abundance of local foods, and our waiter shared a story with us about each dish we chose. To top it off, we left the restaurant and were bid farewell by three adorable roosting guineafowl!
Our table, dinner, service and ambiance was simply amazing. The best dining experience in 2019 by miles. Campo at Los Poblanos is the standard by which all others are measured. Can't wait to try the breakfast!
I was in ABQ for two nights and discovered this gem the night before I flew home. Great food in a very relaxed setting. The staff was very good but at times a bit rushed. I can't wait to go back with friends.
Great atmosphere and not the same old thing. Excellent food.
Second time here for my wife and I. It's a great place for a night out! Try their wine-based cocktails before dinner and then enjoy some very good dishes. Their sommalier is very helpful (we discovered a new favorite varietal from him).
Upscale with a cool farm vibe. Food is a little pricey but so good! Great experience!
First time I have ever disagreed with a James Beard award winning dining experience. The service lacked any finesse, and salt should not be the first and the last taste in my mouth. What was a nice setting turned into a dismal experience. One star, and not because I want to.
Good Morning Son the food was awesome at Los Poblanos
What an absolute gem! Farm-to-table and fresh interpretations of wonderful Southwestern dishes. We are going to try to make this an annual pilgrimage!
Crab and grits for breakfast. Incredibly delicious!
The food here is amazing. The steak was done perfect, nice sear, awesome flavor, probably the best thing on the menu. I have to say the rice pudding with pomagranite and pistachios was also fantastic. We got lucky and got in for dinner. From what i hear its not uncommon to make a reservation 2 weeks in advance. Well worth it. I also tasted the pork chop, heirloom tomato salad, smoked trout, chapa grilled trout, hush puppies, lamb angolotti and chocolate cake. Everything was so good. Farm to table done right.
I love this place, excellent for a lunch, dinner, mini vacation.
Food was excellent, service ok, one person at our didn't get their meal till everyone was also done eating. Chef tried to make up by buying one dessert. Dinner took 3 hrs not sure if they were short staffed that night or it just takes that long to get your meal there? Seating was uncomfortable especially for that long of a dinner service. Hard to rate Campo because food was so good, but everything else was sub par.
Amazing food and people! I was visiting Albuquerque for work and one of my colleagues recommended that I check out Los Poblanos and the restaurant, and I m so happy that I did! I didn t have a reservation so I arrived early to grab a place at the bar for dinner. I was alone but I quickly made new friends since the bartenders and other people at the bar were so open and friendly. It s a great spot for community, and the farm is beautiful. The small shop sells wonderful local foods, crafts, and the beauty products made at the farm! The drinks and menu offerings were made with fresh, high quality ingredients and were fun and delicious. I had the cochinitas ravioli which were shaped like potstickers and topped with a beautiful and flavorful sauce. One of the other patrons recommended the lavender honey cake, which was moist and creamy and just the right amount of sweetness. I ve eaten a lot of amazing food in my life and this is one of my favorite meals of all time!
What does Campo have in common with the scarecrow who won the Nobel Prize? They were both outstanding in their field... (sorry) Dad jokes aside, this was even better than we could have hoped. The atmosphere was wonderful and each bite of the food was incredible. We decided to order several small dishes, tapas style, and each one was delicious. The service was top notch, and we'll certainly be back for special occasions. Now our favorite special treat restaurant in Albuquerque! Thank you for a lovely evening!
Amazing restaurant, great food, staff and a curated wine list
Absolutely amazing. The lamb ravioli is phenomenal.
A historic landmark. Do try the lavender cocktail.
I was really disappointed in the food here as we're my 3 companions. Everything was really rich and not very distinctive or just bland. I had the pasta Bolangaise, which tasted more of cream than milk. It was really too rich for my palette. The blue corn hominy was good but also too rich. For dessert, we shared a chocolate cake, which was good, and a rice pudding, bland. My friends did like their wines. I much preferred the food and atmosphere before they upgraded the restaurant and property. Simplicity was the key then. Los Poblanos used to be a very distinctive NM home, by renowned architect John Has Meem. The old home is still there but they enlarged the restaurant into something that looks like it could be a farmhouse anywhere in the country. And with that change, came tasteless food.Ive heard that brunch is pretty good, so maybe, I'll try that. The service, however, was excellent. My recommendation for fine dining is to pick another restaurant in Albuquerque. There are many other good ones that are not as pretentious or as expensive.
I know I'm probably in the minority when it comes to the restaurant and it's food but my Santa Fe friends were also unimpressed. We used to love this place and would visit often. Now it's meh.
Very friendly and knowledgeable waitress, great service, delicious food and drinks. Highly recommended!
We got married here at Los Poblanos, and had our anniversary dinner at Campo - lives up to the high standards, exemplary service, and just delicious food we experienced previously. What a lovely place to come back to.
Extremely impressive property. The restaurant uses live pit fire in the kitchen and creates world class food with indigenous ingredients. The menu is incredibly creative and every bite from table bread to dessert was inspired. Service was of a scale expected from high end big city restaurants, but the atmosphere is spacious and relaxing. A great mix of old world tradition with modern amenities. To me there is nothing better than to see the love and care that goes into not only preparing the food but watching it be nurtured before harvest. Large windows overlooking their crops bring a warmth to the dining room usually reserved for the kitchen table. I will return again and again.
Phenomenal! Prepare for a party in your mouth! Can't specify anything to eat because it was all good. Will most assuredly eat there again.
Beautiful place, food is underwhelming.
the sea bass dish came recommend by the waiter and it was very bland. Other items were better but not great.
Amazing. Historical. Long fields of lavender; provincial restaurant. Inn. Amazing.
My birthday dinner was amazing. The food was exquisite with the delicious honey cake as the topper. The ribeye is to die for. Wonderful staff.
Great service, fantastic atmosphere, amazing food, and fabulous wine selection.
The most deserving of 5 stars I've ever given. We had 3 courses of appetizer, main conner and dessert, I tried all of what my friends and I were having and it was all amazing. I can't imagine this place doing any meal wrong. Seriously the best meal I've had in New Mexico and worth every penny. Also a shout out to our awesome server, Makenzie, she was the best.
Albuquerque's A list place! Sure, we used to say if you want pretentious fancy, drive north to Fanta Se. Now, we sidle up to a bar stool, farm table, or patio, and pinch ourselves that we have this deciduously delightful diamond all our own.
Upon arriving, my husband and I were impressed with how well-maintained the grounds were. We were greeted by a gentleman at the entrance (unfortunately, I didn't catch his name), and shown how to follow the roadway to arrive at the restaurant. He was friendly, upbeat, and respectful. While driving down the path, you can see the lavender field and huge trees arching overhead. The scenery is lovely. You would never know it was there, as it feels quite hidden from the city surrounding it.
As you walk up, you can see two large silos, as well as quaint buildings with details reminiscent of farm life; such as old tractors, and wooden push carts. You have views of all of the gardens as you walk through the property. We arrived at sunset, and the colors of the sky against the fields, was a picturesque setting for a delicious meal. The decor is simple and elegant, and the scents hanging in the air were lavender on the breeze, and wood burning in a nearby stove; all elements that added to the magical landscape.
Jacob assisted us at our table as we were seated. We were placed close to a heat lamp, and upon asking him if we could move away from it, he promptly lowered the temperature, and moved the lamp away from us, so that it wasn't an issue. He showed no hesitation, and there was no indication from him if it was at all an inconvenience. He was respectful, kind, and especially efficient at taking care of our needs. He checked on us frequently, refilling our waters, making sure we were comfortable, and clearing debris from our table as the wind blew leaves from the above tree. His service and level of care made our night particularly special. Thank you, Jacob.
Landon was our server. His congenial attitude was a pleasure. Upon hearing that it was my husband's birthday, he joyfully expressed his well wishes for the special occasion. His attention to detail, and timing were especially memorable. The level of care in presenting the menu, suggesting items to taste, and descriptions of the meal added to the wonderful experience. He suggested drink pairings, describing how each one paired with a particular menu item. When there was an issue with the glass that I was drinking from, he removed it promptly and assured me that it was taken care of. He frequently checked in on us, ensuring that we had whatever we needed as we continued the meal. His quality of service made our night. Thank you, Landon.
The food was outstanding, and visually lovely. The details of each dish, and flavor combinations were wonderful. Thank you to the staff, for creating such a fantastic birthday experience with exemplary service for my husband. It will be a favorite memory for some time, and we look forward to visiting again when we travel through New Mexico.
The grounds and ambience are gorgeous, especially in the early morning or late in the day. The menu is outstanding. I ve eaten breakfast four times; everything I ve tried is fresh and creatively prepared. The breakfast prices are no more than at comparable restaurants, around $20 with tax and tip.
The wait staff is uniformly excellent: attentive, polished, good customer service, and efficient. Sometimes the hostesses and bussers are inexperienced. I hear the wait staff used to be more racially diverse than it is now.
I highly recommend this place for breakfast.
For a restaurant of this caliber, the service is sub par. The waiter was condescending and obnoxious and the food was so so.
Interesting variety of cuisine designed for the slightly snobbish palette. Be prepared to separate yourself from considerable amounts of cash.
Great customer service! Love this Gem.. wonderful dessert..
Clean,clean, clean
.oh so Sanitary!
I will return
.
Delicious food, wonderfully professional waiter (James) who made the experience special for my wife and I.
Beautiful local food with an extensive wine selection. Very accommodating staff can adjust for dietary restrictions. Gorgeous location and restaurant space.
Absolutely delicious and beautiful. Staff was wonderful. Better thank Napa Farmstead.
This is such a cool place. I think it's awesome that they have preserved a piece of Albuquerques history.
My family went there for a celebration dinner. I ended up not getting my food until ten minutes after everyone else, and when I tasted it, there was absolutely no flavor. Our bill was close to $500 for six people and I had to come home and make a sandwich. Place is beautiful, but the food is awful.
Love this place! Ambiance, staff is wonderful, food is amazing.
This is the best restaurant in Albuquerque and it is situated on a breathtakingly gorgeous farm. Here is a picture of the best breakfast in the world:
Beautiful property. Delicious food, service was attentive
Amazing food, locally sourced, fresh. Great service.
Awesome place
Great service
Good appetizers
the main course was not edible
Good deserts the jar of pickles was the best part
Very good wine list
Had an awesome butchers choice of the week meal along with a few pints while watching the peacocks stroll around the patio. Very beautiful atmosphere in the most beautiful part of the city.
There aren't enough stars to properly rate the dining experience
My husband and I had a very nice dinner here. We had been hoping for the chefs table but with COVID it hasn t been possible. Our server was a bit hit and miss, and we waited a while to be able to put in a drink order, although he got better as the night went on. I think a little more personality would have gone a long way. We ordered the cheese and charcuterie board which was a nice start. We added the balsamic which I would t say was worth it as we got maybe 5 drops.
My halibut was overcooked and lacked seasoning but my husbands lamb special was cooked perfectly and the flavors were very nice. Dessert was the highlight with the honey cake and pistachio tart.
Overall would recommend for a special night out however for the price point I had much higher expectations all around.
Great atmosphere, can be hard to find at night due to the rural location and limited lighting. Food was very good if you like different taste combinations and lots of spices. $$$$
I can t believe we have this gem in Albuquerque! Amazing service and hands down the freshest, most beautiful, delicious breakfast I ve ever had! Our server even gave us a tour of the kitchen and introduced us to the chef! So many choices with lavender and as local and organic as it gets.
During pandemic update:
We went back yesterday for our kiddo s birthday. I love that they were able to sit us further than 6 feet away from everybody. I appreciate the staff wearing masks. They forgot to bring us our side order of potatoes that we had ordered, but brought it later after we almost finished our meal. However, they comped us for it. The area we sat unfortunately was uncomfortably hot and near the kitchen. We were able to walk out into the garden area, and the area s scent was amazing.
We tried the Alaskan halibut ceviche and it was by far my most favorite thing I ve tried there so far. The braised lamb pappardelle had a delicious balance of sweet and savory with the mint and apricot.
Spent a little over $250 for this little birthday celebration (appetizer, drinks, food, taxes, and tip). Absolutely worth it.
Best restaurant in Albuquerque.
The SW hush puppies are addictive, my friend won't stop talking about them. The lamb was amazing and their cocktails are exceptional as well.
Absolutely scrumptious food in a sophisticated ranch setting. We saw a wonderful sunset, everyone was nice, and I cannot wait to go back for food or just to wander.
We had the Breakfast Cazuela, the Cochinita Pibil Tacos, and the Lavender '99 [like a French '75] all for brunch. This was easily the most flavorful meal on our trip. I only wish that we had stayed at the B&B for even more of the experience of this little farm.
Bland breakfast, burnt croissant. Eggs that were blended and boring. Way too expensive for not good breakfast
Went for brunch and it was so good. Bloody Marys and egg benedict:)
Great service. Very organized! Food was super amazing! Drinks were even more amazing! Must check out this place. You pay for the experience, but it is well worth it. Everything is fresh and carefully made. I will be back!!
"Even the water tastes good" - cousin 1 "The plate is pretty" - cousin 2 "The syrup is high quality" - cousin 2
