Really let down by the poor mixing quality at this venue
Vacuous hall. Often long queues to get in, not enough staff scanning tickets. Does have good comedians.
Seating in disrepair, ridiculous bag policy, issues with sound quality and seats will only fit children - if you're planning on going then lose 8 stone and bring a cushion!
They have a fabulous selection of take off groups .
A Bit dated. Not a cheap place but the ice skating is good family fun
Watched Plymouth Raiders Vs Leicester Riders great game amazing entertainment!
Just been to see Riverdance at Plymouth Pavilion. Well worth travelling up from Cornwall. Would recommend it 100%.
Unfortunately the only seats we could acquire was on the flat and the seats to say the least, I had a numb bum.
One word of warning and this refers to bright lights and flashes of lightening which for me was okay but for others!
I didn t see on booking form or tickets stating this, so be warned .
Great venue for having a couple of beers and cheering on the Glasgow Rocks to victory
The bar manager was so rude. Why close the bar 15 minutes after opening the doors? Not enough time to buy a drink and he even tried to stop people entering the bar area
Great show if it wasnt for the drunks seated in front of us who talked and laughed all the way through loudly, fell over onto us and into us cos they couldnt sit still !
The dirty dancing live show was really professional, the sound lighting and stage sets were amazing. The Mrs loved the half naked lead actor just a little bit too much tho..
Plymouth pavilions has a nice sizes seating copasoty. Frendly staff that has helped me when I got lost, theres plenty of nearby parking thats open to late around and nice and centeral location with pubs and clubs if making a night out after watching a show or event.
Great atmosphere, loved the show, staff very helpful, but drinks a little expensive.
Love the pavilions always looking for the next thing to go and see! Staff friendly, facilities clean, good atmosphere
Great act but not suitable for all seated who wants to sit down at a queen tribute night ! Not me
Came here to watch Michal McIntyre! Was a brilliant evening out. The venue is very nice and has good bar and plenty of staff so it keeps everyone moving. Only downside is parking but plenty of places very close to park your car.
Great show and small venue means you feel closer to the entertainment. Seating could be improved
Good venue but the most uncomfortable seats I've sat on
The ice rink is great, although kidney bean shaped and hence unsuitable for ice hockey. The arena is great for basketball, and hosts various comedians and events etc...
Excellent well organised venue, easy to find. Helpful, friendly staff, storming presentation of Rocky Horror. Loved it!
Nice little english town. A lot of nice shop with a lot of charm
We had an awesome time seeing Jack Whitehall... Great night out
Went for the ice skating - I would definitely prebook though as it was very busy!!
Went to see Sarah Milican live venue seemed good although organised a bit chaotic. Snacks and drinks expensive but so where the tickets bought on viagogo. Stay clear of viagogo which is a site I was sent to from Plymouth pavilions. Paid More
No decent rum. Apart from that Coolio thank you xx Pixies Yay xx
Dreadful sound quality, can't purchase tickets from the avenue itself or over the phone. Phone line keeps you waiting enough to spend all your phone credit and I STILL didn't get through to anyone to be able to buy a ticket. Totally hopeless place. Knock it down and build something bigger and better!!!!
Came here to see Brian Cox on his Universal tour. The show was brilliant, however the seating was old, creaky and after nearly 3 hours - uncomfortable!
Went for basketball, a good night out but looks like it would work perfectly for comedy or music.
Always seems closed during daytime hours can't get in to access information desk to find forthcoming events typical council run facility dreadful
Everything was great except for the seats which were extremely old, tatty, ripped and uncomfortable and looked like they were cheap to begin with judging by the thickness of the foam padding.
Everything was spot on this time, had a great seat up the back and could see and hear everything perfectly. Even found a parking spot outside. Thanks to the staff who handled the crowds too.
I bought tickets for the front area just 5 rows from the stage and I couldn't believe the poor quality and state of the seats, they were incredibly cramped and I wouldn't go to a seated event there again based on this experience.
I've been to standing events and it's been great but their seating arrangements need a massive overhaul.
Johnathan Pie's show was hilarious and only marred by the fact we were packed in like sardines.
Daughter loved this the first time. Will defo come back
The show was brilliant the seating is awful! They need to stop trying to cram people in and think about the discomfort caused by seats that only a child should be sitting on.
A great place for all kinds of events, but parking was limited on site.
Brilliant Show but the seats were too close and you could not move your legs and as I have arthritis in back and knees I couldn't move
As well as the seats were too close together I couldn't move as my legs as they were too close together with the people in front and had to have help when going down the steps after the show as my back knees were very stiff.
Run down and the soundquality for concerts is very poor.
Long wait for drinks inbetween show need ticket too get out an in. Felt like cattle market.
I suppose we should be grateful that we have a performance venue in Plymouth. However, it looks SO dated and needs a serious revamp.
We went to see Bill Bailey and he referred to it as looking like (paraphrasing) "A muster station in the event of a civil emergency".
It was a showpiece when it opened several decades ago but due to a lack of investment, it has suffered and I would question its mid to long term future unless Plymouth City Council/private investors can see its value and decide to help save this much needed local entertainment venue.
Great venue, bar not very well stocked, no dark rum, otherwise excellent amenities :-)
Great place, sound system excellent, staff very helpful
A very nice venue for concerts or anything else. There is also a very well maintained ice rink here which is set in an old Alaskan village creating a lovely atmosphere. Great service good for all the family.
The chairs in the auditorium were rubbish. They are old, tired and uncomfortable.
Always easy but bar takes a long time to get served
Great venue with good lighting and comfy seats. Bar prices reasonable as well. All the staff was great.
Fantastic venue for music, came here to watch two door cinema club in october. Sounded amazing standing near abouts in the middle. Not too overly crowded, theres a bar outside by the toilets and theres also a bar bear the stage, was not too More
Nice Ice Rink bit limited refreshments and a little tired
The show was brilliant. BUT the venue was dirty, run down , shabby. Our shoes actually stuck to the floor in the seating area. I don't think the floor had had a good clean in months. The chairs were ripped and dirty. The cost of 2 tickets was 62 pounds and for 2 single G&T was another 10.60. For that sort of revenue you would think some money would be spent on decor, repairs and cleaning.
Not very good at getting the beer to the people in the interval
Or the coffee and drinkies
Although Jason manford was brilliant and didn't detract from his session
Good large arena with lots of seating. Small bar meaning lots of queuing. Not easiest place to find seats and entrance not clearly marked.
The place is looking a bit tired now , and the carpets in the arena are so sticky I was afraid to stand still for to long !
Catfish and the Bottlemen were insane and I loved the venue :)
Shame about this place. Needs more to happen here... Shame about pool closing..
Good venue for concerts - easy access to multi-storey car park (5 min covered walk). Drinks and food pricey.
