We visited on a Monday in the summer. The Plantation is really well done. You work your way through a Native American home-site and a craft area and then into the English village. The staff in the home-site are descendants of natives and were incredibly informative. They spoke about their people but were able to connect to the current world. The craft area has people creating pottery and textiles who can answer questions about the crafts of the time. The English village has a much different feel. These "actors" are all portraying villagers. This means they speak in an English accent and cannot relate to modern terms. For example, if you ask about Massachusetts the state, they will be confused and ask if you mean Massachusetts the tribe. The biggest downside to this is that it can be hard to get all the information you desire. There are no information signs so anything you want to know you have to ask about. Otherwise, it was nicely laid out and a thoughtful depiction of the time.

We really enjoyed visiting this area while we were Rving in the Boston area. It was interesting to see how people would've lived back then. They have a great living museum going on, but you'll want to bring your sun screen with you!

Disappointed. I kind of expected more for the price tag.
It's a lot smaller and less content than I thought. There were maybe 5 attractions and all of them were like a 3 min stop except the village. When we were there, the Mayflower ship was not there so that's a point off. There's way too little histories between the first settlers interaction with the Native Americans. Overall, I felt like it's a nice place but definitely has more room to expand. Needs to add trails off the main attractions for sight seeing. I mean it's a mountain and I didnt see any scenic view spots closer to the ocean.

Interesting experience interacting with "actors" here. They all talked like they actually live back in time. It was the day of Royal Wedding so they had a wedding event here too.

The Plimoth Plantation is a living museum where you get to travel in the past and interact with history. They have a Native American section that was fantastic. It was amazing to see how they used to make canoes and how big they where.
You can then stroll down the pilgrim town and ask settlers about what it was like. Everyone was nice and was willing to pose for photos.

What a treasure of American history! Both the Native American village and the plantation village were remarkable to see. We especially enjoyed speaking with the Native American men as they worked on burning out a tree trunk for a new canoe. The plantation homes and gardens were an eye-opening and interesting experience to see, too. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly. A must-do for all ages!

We thought this was excellent. From the Indian Village to the mock village of the first Pilgrim settlers. All the staff are dressed up and dont break out of character while being very informative. Great experience would definitely recommend especially if you are interested in American History

I've been here twice and I absolutely love this place! Nothing beats learning about the first colonists in Plymouth and the Native Americans like seeing them in action just as if it were the 1600s. If you're just left on your own to look around, about two and a half hours will do it.

Everyone should visit, regardless of nationality or citizenship status. I had a fascinating conversation with the person portraying one of my ancestors. Also wonderful live demonstrations by members of the Wampanoag tribe in and outside wigwans, with the opportunity to ask questions. If shopping is your thing, the gift shops are well stocked.

Plimoth Plantation is the place to visit for anyone who is interested in the history of the first European settlers. My favorite portion of our visit was visiting the Native American camp to hear the story on how the land was settled from the native's perspective. Everyone is in character and are doing things that would be relative to the daily existence during the time period they are representing. Meaning if you ask them any modern questions, they will not answer them. It was a good experience and should be something people should do during a visit to Massachusetts.

I had great memories of being there as a child with my mom. I was so excited to incorporate it into our New England vacation so my husband and kids could experience it. We bought ponchos before we headed there because ABSOLUTE downpour, but we had a blast despite being drenched and it was awesome that we weren't the only ones there. The employees that were in costume never missed a beat when they were conversing about life on the plantation, even if someone mentioned newer technology, airplanes, etc.

Such an amazing place. It s like you stepped out of a time machine! The staff and historians who run Plimoth Plantation are do dedicated to preserving where we started as a civilization! They have preserved our history so well. This is a must for everyone to visit, experience and see how we as a country started on this soil. How we lived, without running water, electricity, basic amenities is one thing. To really understand how we survived the first winter and why the Mayflower landed here is another! Go visit this incredible gem! It s perfect for all ages, all levels of history buffs and anyone who is curious what it was like in 1620!!!

What a fantastic place! Nice museum, film, hands on tour for yourself. The people that are there do their very best to show and explain how life was 400 years ago. The native American hits, the fort, the pilgrims housing all very authentic! From building dugout canoes, making arrows, construction of the long huts. I learned a lot. Things I didn't know. Like 1692 the Plimouth site was dissolved!

USA at its best. The living diorama of people and houses was well presented. We were impressed that the actors stayed in character, including their English accents, despite our stupid tourist questions. Loved the Indian settlement. Lots of activity. We spent 2 hours and thought it good value.

Very interesting and historically correct place. Went here for a field trip and had a good time and learned a lot! I love how you can talk to real Native Americans who are descendants of the actual tribe who lived in the area. Talking to the colonists is fun since they speak in character the whole time. I reccomend going here for the cool experience!

Our day was fun, informative, and great for little kids to stretch their legs. Only issue was in the arts and crafts building. I'm thinking the woman with pink hair and poor English accent doing pottery was having a bad day. While holding my two year old and asking questions pertaining to her craft, she rudely cut me off, gave me a nasty look and said, "If you stop talking and listen, I will explain this to you." I get it, actors do a fantastic role in the Native American exhibit and Pilgrim Village, but last time I checked there was no pink hair and tee shirts in the 1600's so my guess is being rude is just who she is. Take the family, skip the pottery.

Really talented people that made the plantation come alive and take you back in time. The true efforts and focus on researched details was noticeable. All ages can enjoy. Took me about 2 hours to see the whole park at a leisurely stroll asking questions to each of the role players.

Great piece of history. Very authentic. The tribesmen and women are very patient in answering any questions. The pilgrim actors do a great job of role-playing back into the 17th century. Highly recommended for ages 8 and up.
