It was a fun place to be in to look around and prices arent that bad

Very friendly and nice people. Don't buy at the first place you stop in. Compare prices and know the exchange rate. Some of the shops will haggle on the price with you.

There are tons of shops to choose from, no doubt. Unfortunately some of the bathrooms were closed.

Starting point to visit the Maya Lamanai site, really beautiful because it is immersed in the rain jungle

Small area for number of cruisers. Several interesting spots for pictures. Prices vary from shop to shop for same items.

Tourist shops and the usual cruise ship tourist fare. There were NO GATES keeping us in. We left the area and experienced the city, coming and going at our will.

Carnival cruise for birthday.. loved the port of call at Belize...

With so many Americans coming here on a Carnival cruise, everything is very Americanized. It is offered what Americans expect. Lots of aunt, lots of beer and lots of frills. Nevertheless, the village has its architectural and atmospheric charm. The colors are pleasant, the music puts you in the mood. However, this village has nothing to do with the living conditions of the people in Belize.

Very busy dock area; lots of shops to buy souvenirs and open restaurants to for local food. Transportation to various areas a bit hectic but friendly and helpful people. Would love to go again.

Wish the government would invest more in keeping up the downtown area.

Beautiful ,clean and relaxing are words to describe the good time you will have shopping and eating,drinking here and tax fee purchases of name brand items like purses diamonds and souvenirs

Very well organized especially for tourists seeking tours or meeting their tour rep.

Nice place. It rained like crazy, but my trip ended well. Good shopping too.

Belize port was ok. Was there April 9th 2019 on a cruise. If shopping be sure to check out outside craft market first. Prices are much cheaper for same items and they are willing to negotiate $.

Ported here on a cruise. Tons of places to shop for goodies. Also had a bunch of places to grab a drink and food at.

This place has a few shops to where you can buy some souvenirs from Belize. This is where all the cruise ships port to let tourist off to go do excursions and shop.

Nice shopping plaza . Lots of stores to get all your souvenirs. After a couple stores is the same items over and over. But it was nice area to walk around and get a drink.

Great day tours available from a host of ground operators. Make certain that you get what was promised, that is leaving on the time advertised, type and condition of transport and personnel who actually know something other than just being "nice".

Tourist place, but they have a pharmacy and other stuff if you need to get something.

This was my port landing to begin an excursion to Lamanai. Fun shopping and searching for souvenirs plus some waterside restaurants for dining. Belize is 'Unbelizable' and an interesting place to explore.

belize is nice we took a guided rum tasting tour . the tour was ok i guess .

Ok I'm going to give 3 stars because I did find some local wood crafted souvenirs there is one shop that has local made stuff everything else seems to be imported probably from China. I did not make it very far out of the port security area due to the fact that it did not seem very safe of an area. I would not come back to Belize unfortunately. Pretty sketchy outside of the port security office.

I know this is a very poor area, but where the tourism area is, where a lot of money comes in, there should be improvements made. Docks / tender boarding locations are just scattered everywhere. Finding the right one can be tricky. Waited in line forever to get on a bus for our tour because there is simply no room at the dock areas and on the streets, buses lined up after buses, single file. Tour guides were very nice.

Tourist trap is putting it mildly! In order to get back to our ship we HAD to go through the mall they funneled us through, BUT the discount prices were worth it.

If you are on a cruise ship go ahead and go if you are not I don't think it's worth it. In fact the whole of Belize city you can be passed if you are going to have dinner placencia or some other area

A great place for shopping... you can walk and see the sea.

Nothing to see... only some shop for turist and tons of people who try to catch you

Hang out at Pelican Breeze bar for local beers, music and free wifi. You can catch local tours outside the building.

In Belize, this area is perfect for visiting the areas by boat, there are many shops and bars, the place is clean and nice.

Great experience and great place to visit and shopping pleasure.

Basically a flea market where cruise ships drop you off and your locked in. Without paying for an excursion your not allowed to leave because of gates,fences, and guards

Not much to see, shops, boutiques and shops. Carriage rides offered with miserable horses.

Good place for tourists to book tours and do a little shopping

It is ok. Souvenir shops and bars with inexpensive but nice belizian beer.

The past nicest port we visited on our cruise. Not bad but there were better ones.

Excursions were a little unorganized. ALOT of waiting. Nice little shops. Restrooms were okay.

Quaint and pleasant, prices are a little higher than elsewhere but normal.

Good pier but can not dock any cruise, we have to go down in boats to the port, many shops, WiFi and bathrooms. There are the letters of Belize and a large chair with its letters to take pictures, disappointing that there is no exchange house. Take the tour of the city and I do not recommend it, it looks like a town and not a city, nice places but many that give a lot to be desired.

If u wanna get bothered every 10 or so steps with people asking you to come I to their store. This is place. However we were looking for a specific excursion once we arrived off our cruise ship here. We wanted to visit some sort of ancient ruins or temples. When we got off the ship. We were prepared to be bombarded with locals trying to get us to do their excursions, but we just wanted one specific place. If it wasnt for this one guy approaching us, we would have never found the one we were looking for. He had a variety of different excursions. I'm sure all the locals have some sort of variety, but this guy was scary looking. His eyes were red and yellow. Looked like he was super high, or he just had severe jaundice. Made him more interesting and disingenuous. I adore those guys. I wasnt sure if we were gonna get murdered on our trip or have a chance to see some ruins. I love my life. Taking chances and such.
