Beautiful views and a lot of fun finds for souvenirs. Affordable prices (especially considering tax free!) and you're usually able to negotiate for an even better price. Overall a fun place to explore!

Shop after shop then shops behind the shops! If you want to do some inexpensive touristy shopping this is your place. Belize offers little else in the short time the ship is in port unless you opt for the ship's excursions. Many photo ops and since there are no beaches near by, enjoy the shopping.

If you're not on a cruise, you must exchange government ID for a pass. There is some paperwork you will also have to fill out, but it's not much.

There is more variety here than outside in the town, but at a higher cost. If you have time, I would suggest comparing prices here from The Golden Bay store. Some of the stuff is the same and cheaper.

We were just there and very hectic with beggers and non ligit workers and your scammers , then we realized how unsafe it was to leave the gated port area , no kidding , just on the other side of the double tall steel walks and gates with Barb wire there were scammers yelling through the wall trying to barter tourist to take there low cost tours with NO Security , and Carnival had there ship staff on every tour , tour bus going into Belize excursions with groups for safety , so BE CAREFUL !!! Research your areas if you go , but lots of rival gangs in there own civil war , so very dangerous

Grifters and Hustler's in the inner gate area , High gates for a reason , everyone at dinner that went into Belize said it was very dangerous and they wouldn't go again , but we didn't go outside the high Gates of this inner port area and after 15 minutes we went back to the ship

One of the many typical port terminals found on all other Caribbean islands. A few shops with souvenirs, a few nice little bars invite you to linger. Nothing special. But nice. The people there are very helpful, but we were already warned when leaving the terminal to pay attention to the things. The people are very pushy. So Holzauge be watchful.

Very pleasant staff at all the shops I hit. But it has seen better days(or I would hope that's the reason). Food was good, not as over priced as one would expect at a major transport place.

Great little shopping village for souvenirs. Definitely could use some updates and repairs but overall everyone was friendly. Only a few standing out front yelling as you walk by. That never gets me to come in. There are some good waterside bars...the thing not to miss are the conch fritters. They are a specialty of the Carribean.

Hassled constantly by different individuals to buy something. I want to take pictures of the area but being chased by 20 individuals. We just turned around and went back to the boat. Sad because I really looked forward to seeing it.

We found some nice shops there in Belize, with some really great prices as well these people wasn't as pushy as in trying to make a sell as some of the others were. Here's a tip for you to use if they're not being pushy trying to get a sell then go into their shops but if they are pushy keep moving all they are trying to do is sell you some high price low quality junk.

It was a great place where you could got a little taste of Belize City. I especially loved the boat ride to get to the village. I was disappointed though because we arrived on a Saturday and all the shops weren't open. Nevertheless, my family and I had a good time taking pictures (especially on the swing ), buying memorabilia and making good memories together. I would recommend it to anyone.

Likely the most upscale shopping place in the whole country. Offers a happy and bustling atmosphere of a country fair. Ride the tender and visit the place even if you don't plan to venture out into the city.

To be honest, it will be rare for me to score one on these higher than 3. Lots of typical shops. Tours seem to depart out of building 4. You can get a local tour for $25pp right at the tender pier. Note on tendering, you are anchored about 5 miles out, plan an hour for queuing, getting on, transit and getting off.

Special note, there is a pharmacy that shows some US prescription medications as apparently available over the counter.

Went to the same bar at the right end of the port on 2 occassions. Never got any help. People in every shop we went to were just down right rude. The city was very nice as far as what we could see on the bus tour. Dont care to go again.....one and done.

Fun experience. First time on a tender boat. Lots of great shopping. Even splurged and did something out of character by getting a tattoo...henna, lol. Look forward to next cruise and stopping here again.

If you want to experience Belize/Belize City then walk straight through the `tourism village` and out the other side ! These `villages` are for lazy cruisers and bring next to nothing to the locals. They are owned by the cruise companies and only make them more money ! We went straight through and hired a local taxi for the day - we had a great time !!!

There were some shops here, so if you like that kind of thing, it s just the sort of thing you would like.

I wanted to see the city, but all the taxi drivers seemed a little too pushy, so I was a little afraid to go with any of them. There was one older fellow that was not pushy, so I went with him, and he gave me a nice tour of the city and told him about all of his impressions.

He said that in his younger years he used to go all over the world and worked with Muhamed Ali. Ask to see his picture.

His name is Roy Craig. His phone number is 610-2037 or 203-3340 or 223-0371. Who knows why he has three telephone numbers.

He was a nice guy and did a great job, so I want to share with others.
