Nice staff, very clean, big room, just lts far from from the beach and very weird hotel name.

Disappointing. Not worth the money. Rooms and bathroom nor cleaned well. Someone's old soap on tub. Some kind of film on Jacuzzi jets. Will never go back.

Very bad experience. I met one of my friends to go fishing. We dropped off my truck at the hotel and hit the water Friday morning. When we returned that evening my truck was gone. I asked the hotel worker and they said it was towed. I was very upset since I was a paying guest, just not checked in yet. I went over to J.R.'s or something like that and they told me they give the hotel a kickback from every tow they do. I told him that was very dishonest and he said he has to pay the mortgage. Very Shaddy!!!!!!!

Our favorite Hotel to stay at while we enjoy the coast.

Restrooms were dirty! I asked if we can get rooms together like 2-3 weeks ahead they yes and called earlier in the day and when we checked in were all separated !! .

We booked at the last minute for the Sand Festival. We were able to get a 2 queen bed room to accommodate our party which was nice. Everything was descent and clean and the service was good. Our problem was the shower. The way the shower is built there is no way to keep the water from flooding the bathroom floor. We spent a lot of towels and time mopping up the tile floor. Thank goodness no one slipped and fell on the wet floor.

It's always average. Friedly staff and great for parking your boat. They are not very personable, meaning we have visited several times and never remember us. The inside is old and dated, the floor is always dirty with sand.

Really neat hotel w chairs outside of room to sit in and BBQ grills.

Best place we've stayed at in a long time. Staff was great, bed was comfortable, best of all no noisy neighbors.

Don't stay here if you like family friendly atmosphere, they let kids book rooms and allow under age drinking! Just spend a few extra dollars and stay at a reputable hotel chain.

Cute place! It had a nice kitchenette with fridge, sink, microwave, toaster oven, hot plate, utensils, dinnerware, etc. I like no carpet for beach area rooms ... but, they still need to clean the floors!! My clean white socks were black after walking around for just a little while in the room. I also was looking forward to using the jacuzzi tub, but it was dirty, as well. We would consider staying again, just hoping for a little more detail to cleaning.

This place is pretty decent. The room had a small kitchen area and bathroom was good size. Clean, cold ac, cute place.

We booked a room with breakfast but no breakfast. I understand that recent hurricane damaged their building. So exclude breakfast from the ad. But they did sell the room With breakfast. And when I was checking in lady just mentioned about limited service. But didn't mention that no breakfast.

Staff was great, we initially booked the 2 bedroom condo for the weekend and decided to stay another night, they gave us a discount on the room. I have always liked this place, the location is perfect, you are less than a mile from the beach. The only downfall to the trip was my son wouldn t go into the pool because it was to dirty and not cleaned once during our stay, the hot tub was clean and relaxing.

Great place to stay. But please replace the iron and ironing board. Was really old and dirty. Some people still iron.

Everything was clean. It was comfortable. The people are friendly.

It was the Thursday prior to Labor Day weekend. We saw a post on Facebook from Plantation Suites saying they had rooms available. I checked there web page and liked there King room with spa tub. (We have stayed at Plantation Suites numerous times so we had an idea what the rooms looked like.)

I called there number and spoke to a very nice person. Her name was Katie. I told her that I saw her post on Facebook and wanted to come down for 1 night with our pet. She said no problem. I booked the room. We arrived that Sunday and when we checked in to the room it WAS NOT the room I THOUGHT I booked. I was given a 2 king bed standard tub and wanted the 1 king spa tub room. Well, Kimberly (Another very nice person at check-in) explained to me that my reservation was a 2 king and not the one I was stating. She said the rooms are all sold out so there is no way to switch rooms.

The manage contacted me later and I said it was MY fault for not verifying the reservation that came in the email. This was not Katie's fault AT ALL!!!!!

This is where it gets GOOD!!! The manager took 10% off the room for the inconvenience. JUST AWESOME!!!

At Check-out, we noticed that the 10% was not taken out but the pet fee WAS!! Which was HIGHER then the 10%!!!!!!

Now the following I'm not saying because of the above treatment, but we comeback because of the Pet friendly, GREAT rooms, OUTSTANGING pool and hot tub area, OUTSTANDING STAFF, GREAT breakfast, GREAT location to everything in Port A!!!!

We will be back!!!

Lastly, A BIG THANK YOU to the Manager on duty This Labor day weekend 2015. :)

Cool place. Convenient location. Our bathroom looked like it was still under construction, but it was clean. Fair price

Rude front desk staff. They didn't honor free drink policy. Rowdy neighbors. Weak breakfast. Stickers in grass.

The Plantation Suites is excellent, we always have a delightful stay. The pool is open till 11pm, the breakfasts are delicious, and the staff is always very nice. We prefer to stay here when visiting Port Aransas.

Roaches roaches roaches, air condition would work only when it wanted to, the beds were hard, their was a steady stream of water from the ceiling in the middle of the night, the manager said she'll have it looked at after we checked out but a guy showed up at our door waking us up, you have to be in your room at a certain time to get towels, no made service, you have to bring your own cleaning supplies and clean your room or else you'll be charged extra, you can here people next door and above you, lights only work when they want to, the grass had allot of stickers, bad for my dog, parking lot is too small, had to park around the corner, breakfast was mediocre, pool and spa was nice, the guy at the front desk asked if their were any problems and after I told him he said he would fix the problems but he didn't offer to fix the problem with us, the paying customers, lucky to get a 1 star rating, I'll never be back and I suggest you don't waist your money on staying at this place...extremely disappointing...

Wonderful old hotel in the process of being refurbished. Our room was recently refurbished and it was very nice. Dog friendly, though they charge $35 for a pet. Nice hot tub and pool.

Nice place, obviously they just had a hurricane here so damage is rampant. The rooms are missing finishing touches, there is no breakfast, hot tub doesn't work. Drains are not working properly in tubs, sinks and there is debris pretty much everywhere. The pool is slightly heated and the staff is pretty friendly. The beach is really nice and we all had a great time.

The hotel holds no surprises, with rooms following a similar format to other hotels in the area. The stay was comfortable with all amenities that you would normally expect. The hotel was undergoing a face lift after a busy summer season so things externally were a little tatty. The main concern for me was the rather frosty greeting at the front desk after a long drive to the coast.

Dirty!! Customer service was fine. I wiped everything down as soon as we walked in and found dried food on counter top. Hair on bathroom mirror, and dried blood or food on the bathroom door. The dishes had food on them and found food particles in the fridge. It was creepy and gross. Will never stay at this place again.

Can't beat the price, but majorly in need of a good deep cleaning. The front desk staff was helpful and dollar store next door is conveniently within walking distance of the hotel.

Love it! I enjoyed the pool, breakfast, and the relaxed atmosphere. There were NO bedbugs (I have a huge bedbug fear). But we did see 2 small roaches, just 2 tho. Over all I loved my stay. Friendly people and beautiful place. Would come again.

Room 38. View was less than great but the room is clean. Housekeeping is very kind. Jet bath is cool.

Plantation Suites: Overall, not a bad place considering we went out of season. But, the 3 stars was because of 2 things and 1 being major. Check out the photos of the security lock on the inside of door.This was major. It's a hinge that just flips over and supposedly that should keep anyone out!!! I almost left for this reason alone but this vacation had sentimental meaning . The 2nd was the tub.Again, no way I was even going to turn the thing on let alone sit and bathe. Showers it was.
To be fair, everything else was nice. Pool area clean and well kept, Nice beachy colors and very clean room. The minor funny things was the phone that didn't work, a rusted bottom coffee pot , I just had to place it next to the sign that lists cost if you take something and the door to the bathroom that got a quick one coat. Boy was it obvious!!!. Husband wasn't impressed with breakfast and we were there a week. Overall, Iwould go back but not that room unless they changed that door/lock. I also took into consideration that a hurricane had made damage and they were still cleaning up things.

Very nice place. My only concern, it was a week before spring break. 70.00 a night went up to 199.00 a night.

It was amazing. It wasn't like a hotel, or a timeshare, or anything else. It just felt like it was ours.

Great place if you don't mind rooming with the roaches and enjoy the aroma of mold and body sweat. Oh and the superb service of house keeping just pulling the covers over sand filled bedding. Save yourself the headache and stay Somewhere else

Rooms are not clean, didn t even have extra toilet paper, rowdy people police had come for people fighting, it was quite the scene .... covid 19 We were told that no pool could be used however, people were in the pool area and kids in the pool ....

Your hotel site needs to remove the advertisements that you all have food services available. When my family stayed a few weeks ago you all did not offer any sort of breakfast; nor was there any sort of food services available (although this was one of the reasons we had booked-advertised as having a complementary breakfast buffet). This was false advertising that I did not appreciate. There was no maid service throughout our entire stay however if we needed extra towels or bedding we could go to the front desk and get it. I swept and kept my room clean daily throughout the stay which was NOT much of a vacation for me. I think this property has used Covid as an excuse to not give good service.

The room was clean. Pool was dirty and full of kids, I got hit on head twice with balls. Only 2 waffle machines for breakfast and a long line of kids waiting to make waffles, so plan on eating breakfast some place else.

Stay was good. Rooms are spacious and clean. Their website still says they offer breakfast ( Complimentary Hot/Cold continental breakfast buffet) but they don't. Completely understand why but they should update their website or offer something.

All the staff were kind and informative. Rooms were clean, neat, and smelled good. I asked for an extra sheet and the host gave it to me with no qualm. All appliances worked well. House keeping did a great job. We'll be coming back for sure.

This was a great stay! Close to the beach & restaurants! Good breakfast with real eggs! Swimming pool and hot tub! Place to BBQ and a place to wash things off from the beach.

Every thing you need in a hotel room. Not to fancy hut very comfortable.

Great place, the breakfast was surprisingly good. The bed we had was a little stiff but it's a hotel can't really expect a memory foam mattress.

Everything is awesome. Seriously like staying in a mini apartment. Staff was more than amazing.

The room we stayed in was spacious and it even had a freezer/fridge combo. The biggest complaint is that housekeeping needs to clean the rooms better, there was what looked like shaved hair all on the bathroom floor, in the bathtub, and on the bathroom counter. The fridge and freezer looked like it hadn t been cleaned in a while either. Would definitely stay again if cleanliness was improved.

Beds are too firm for my taste, but was decent for the price and they allowed our fur babies

Good staff good hotel. They should do more deep cleaning ie.. baseboards, floors, cabinets etc. Maid service was good overall.

We have stayed here every time we have come. Love the hotel but be careful booking through Expedia or any other online place. They booked our room even though we had confirmation. Nice! Bring my family all the way from Austin and we get to sleep in the car!!

Very nice place, reasonably priced and pet friendly

First let me say that the young man who runs the hotel is so very nice, but that being said, the room was just too dirty. The coffee tray was filthy and the coffee was clearly old and had been wet. The silverware holder was also filthy. Also, the room was definitely not properly stocked with dishes and silverware. When we got there the floor was sandy and the beds looked like they had been slept in . They definitely did not look like sheets had been changed. Probably won't stay there next year when we go on our annual trip.

This is a very convenient location and love the room size!

The kitchenette double queen rooms are spacious, tidy, and beds are comfortable but the kitchenette lacks. It has a small fridge, microwave, and small counter top toaster oven.Beware of booking a bottom floor room for the installation is poor and you can hear if you have people upstairs feet stomping around all night. Also we happen to get a bottom room that is next to the stairs and walkway so its very noisy all day and night and being that is located right there you will here people talking and yelling outside in front of your door through out the day and night.Also its wonderful that they allow pets but not so wonderful when the owners let them outside the door to sit and bark for a lot of the day and throughout the night. I feel the hotel should have policies about that. This has not been a peaceful stay by anymeans, but instead a very noisy one actually. So word of advice if you book a room here choose an upstairs room or if you get one on the bottom floor make sure its not the one directly behind the stairs and at main entry way unless constant crazy noise is what you want to here 24 hrs a day.
