We visited about two months after Harvey decimated the area. They are definitely working hard to get the place repaired, but they left a lot of debris laying around the pool area and in the parking and in the parking lot.
The staff are SUPER friendly and the rooms are really nice with all tile flooring. The Jacuzzi tub is a little worn but still nice. The bed is VERY comfortable and the pillow is wonderful. Overall, I'd definitely recommend it - but don't expect a perfect place until they've had more time for flood recovery.

Great hotel for a weekend getaway. The rooms were nice and well equipped with 1 shower and a working toilet. Very close to businesses. Would do this again.

Excellent place to sleep for a day or two. Doesn't break the bank.

My trip is scheduled for this friday my aunts and my best friend booked because they allow pets and since the hurricane i spent 2 days trying to get an adequate place on air bnb but when i went down in may the town is still in a surprising amount of disrepair....and when i say place, i mean the entire town. If your not from texas and not familiar with this small town, you may have unrealistic expectations. This town that we know and love was annihilated by harvey. The places that evryone know and love have been torn down and most of the condo complexes are still boarded up. I was very happy to get a condo here and that they are pet friendly. Reviews on sights tend to be hyper critical especially from people from the golden coast who are used to a sterile environment. I called today and spoke to a man at the front desk who was extremely courteous and extremely helpful. Sometimes our southern hospitality is wasted on those unfamiliar with it.Will of course leave an updated review but am very optimistic seeing as there are so few places to stay and they are still so accommodating and helpful.

Nice rooms and front desk was helpful in suggesting local restaurants. They are still working on hurricane remodeling, but they are well under way and the current construction didn't create any issues .

The grounds were dirty with cig butts and paper problems. Plenty if cig disposable were available but customers too lazy to use them

Services were minimal, dog park was a small fenced area, breakfast was not very good.

Great all around! This is where we ll be staying for all our coast trips. But make reservations ahead of time, works out better

Rooms had been redone and were better appointed than expected. Problem was hotel was extremely loud late into evening and early next morning. Thin walls.

Breakfast was good if you cold get some. The place was so crowded it made for a horrible breakfast. No coffee,no eggs no bacon. The waffle batter was never full. Syrup was out. There was a nice kid who was in the navy who was nice but on Memorial holiday you think they would of plan ed better and had food out. The oatmeal was gone and dried out. No milk for cereal. It was a mess. The hallways were smelly and ceiling was peeling from a flood or just being old. Overall not that bad. I would stay there again but not on a holiday.

I realize that our visit to this hotel was at the peak of summer, so the price was almost understandable until we got inside our room. Very out of date and needed much upkeep. Paint and drywall pealing off the walls. Some kind of permanent stains on inside of bathroom door...don't even want to kmow what that was! Room came with a jetted tub that was probably 15 to 20 years old! I did NOT get in it! My husband did and when he turned jets on, black stuff and who knows what else came out!! He immediately got out of it. I wore my flip flops to take a shower the rest of the weekend. Will not ever go back unless they do major renovations!! On a good note, the pool area and front desk person were nice.

Very nice room. Comfortable beds. Only complaint is that there needs to be outlets near the bed so I wouldn't have needed to leave my phone to charge across the room.

Have yet to be able to check in. Poor communication.
I booked for 4 adults in a 2 Queen bedroom. We aren t able to check in but we had to sign and get our paper wristbands to wear on the premises and now the other couple are paying an addition charge for extra people.
My confirmation does not even show the amount of people so we are basically paying again for extra.
Mind you still waiting for a clean room after driving overnight.
We also asked for military as we knew they offered this. He said yes but you have to call.
NOT STAYING HERE AGAIN. Our first visit was great.. but it has definitely changed.

The hotel is nice however the house keeping service didn't listen to our do not disturb sign

Nice place great prices, the only thing I didn't like was that at the cafeteria the fan was on, so it made the food get cold right away the room was very cold, so I asked if it could be turned off & I dont think that was possible idk why maybe so you leave faster and get out idk but I wanted to enjoy my stay for what I had paid for & have breakfast there at the cafeteria with my kids but it's okay I guess :/ over all everything was great room , pool expectations, front desk, cleaning ladies offered great kindly service thank you we look forward to stay there again*

Floor so dirty it ruined my athletic socks turning the bottoms black. Went to make coffee in the morning and the coffee pot still had an old coffee pack in it that had a quarter inch of mold on it. Toilet leaked and although I told them about it they did not fix it. Room smelled of strong disinfectant and seemed to be covering the smell of puke. After I complained and they cleaned the room? there were no replaced cups and coffee packages. Security latch was hanging on one screw and would not keep a baby out. All in all a terrible stay. I will never stay here again.

Place isn't close enough to walk, so, you will have to drive the mile to sand. $12 for annual beach parking permit. Rooms are clean, staff were really hospitable. Breakfast was good, eggs, sausage, English muffins, toast, waffle maker, apple juice, orange juice, coffee, fruit, milk, cereal.

It was okay but employees where smoking cigarettes and not wearing face mask while cleaning rooms

The room was a decent size, they made arrangements to get us in the room early due to scheduling error we made, but unfortunately I did kill a small roach of some kind that came out from under the base board. Our door cards had constant problems, for the amount we paid, it Should have been a nicer place in my opinion.

The air is good, there is swimming pool, and hot pool. Those receptionists are nice they helped me with the local direction

Do not stay here. Rented a room and rebooked it to only find out the next day to be woken up to them telling us to get out that they were full and we didn t book it.

Rooms were clean and comfortable, breakfast was good, and the front desk staff were all friendly and attentive.

I paid $70 for a room with no hot water, unfinished carpentry, a dirty toilet, a non-working fridge that smelled like something died in it, and the fluorescent light in the bathroom flickered and buzzed constantly creating a horror movie type environment. I was unable to shower due to lack of hit water so our checkout was extended until 12n which has never been an issue at any hotel I've ever stayed at anyways. We were told by Mitch that we would receive some sort of reimbursement or compensation upon checkout but we were told otherwise due to the fact that we were given an extra hour and hot water was turned back on 11. I have never written a bad review in my life and this is the first one and well deserved. We were not even extended the courtesy of a simple apology.

The Internet was terrible. Our phones did not work while there without the WiFi. We had to keep our WiFi option on, but yet theirs was working awfully slow and just not worth the hassle to try. We had to leave just to use our phones away from this hotel to get information on places to go and locations to eat. No prepreparation was available.

Inexpensive and I think, good value. An older facility that's been renovated some since Harvey. Its pet friendly meaning, if you have allergies, your room may have been occupied by a potential allergy source. We're dog lovers so pet friendly is not a problem for us us.

Loved the hotel and the room size; but the Jacuzzi Tub would not work right and the pricing was a bit high. The complimentary breakfast is pretty good.

Great stay for the price. Excellent accommodations for a fishing party. Amenities include boat parking (very rare) and a fish cleaning facility.

They've tried to update since the hurricane, and honestly I really was fine with the place until we went to bed. The walls are paper - thin with no insulation. We heard the person in the room next to us snoring like a bear all night, and then a family with small children were up by 6am making all of the noise in world. Kids and people snoring are definitely not plantation suites fault, but insulating and making sure doors close are. Good start to reno, not sure how they can fix the sound at this point.

Just stayed got bit up by possibly bed bugs. Probably won't be staying there again.

Comfortable place to stay with good breakfast which is hot. Nice hot tub and pool area. Nothing fancy but close to the beach and shops, etc.

Upon our arrival, the parking lot smelled of rotting seafood from a nearby dumpster, the room had an overwhelming presence of fragrance, but at least the room was neat and tidy. The breakfast experience was mediocre, with food seemingly short in supply, and limited seating.

Staff was very helpful and kind. Room was clean. Could use a little updating, but is priced accordingly so no complaints

Customer service was great, the room was nice and clean and comfortable, and the pool was clean.

Motel was ok except for the weird stains on the bathroom walls. The front desk lady was rude. Overpriced and probably won't ever stay here again. Not a great experience for the price!

We always stay here for our "quick" stays in Port A. The staff is amazing and always goes above and beyond. I've never had a single complaint.

Great place and very nice. I didn't particularly care for some of the stayers, but the hotel can't do anything about that. The pool and hot tub is nice and a wonderful little area. Overall very happy with our stay.

This motel is amazing, the location is beautiful, the local beaches and restaurants are great, best place to stay in corpus on a budget.

Fair priced motel. Mostly a good visit. Only complaint was we were greeted by a couple of drunks mouthing off first night outside our room. No other problems in our two night stay. I would recommend for a stay off the beach and priced much cheaper than beachfront. Just be prepared to drive everywhere.

Clean, spacious, just outside town and easy quick drive to the beach. Breakfast is dependable and the pool is warm and clean. Overall our go to for price and convenience.

I most definitely enjoyed my stay. The room was nice and the staff was very friendly. I asked for some extra amenities prior to check in and they adequately delivered it to my suite before I even got the room. Breakfast was good and the pool was rather small. More than 2 families it can feel a little to busy but we were there for the beach. If I were to make a suggestion to the business I would say you might want to put a door stopper behind the laundry room doors. Being in the bottom corner I did here the door slam open quite frequently in the morning. But over all my stay great. I appreciated how the staff gave me a phone call when our room was ready for check in as well. I would and will book here again in the future.

Close to a beach entrance road, nice amenities on the grounds like a BBQ grill and horseshoe pit. Room was clean and presentable.

The breakfast was great. The pool is nice. But one of the ladies at the front desk isn't very friendly. I was yelled at for saying "freaking". She also told us that our room was booked for 2 people (when we had a group of 9) and she got mad when we asked to borrow an air mattress

Great place to stay and have your wedding reception in Port Aransas!

This was our first trip to Port A and we were a little nervous about getting a nice quiet hotel away from the teenagers. Plantation Suites was a perfect fit for us! The front desk was always attended, we got two free soft drinks upon our arrival, we never had to ask anything from housekeeping as things were replaced almost as soon as we used them. We had a king sized room with a full kitchenette, there were even pots and pans to cook omelets in! The room was also free of bugs and had jets in our bathtub which was very relaxing. I never heard the people next door, above us, or people at the pool. A full length mirror and almost 900 channels were a nice touch! I will definitely be staying here on our next trip! My only compliant was that housekeeping was trying to get into the room 30 minutes before our checkout time, but they apologized and that was pretty much the only inconvenience that happened on our stay. A+

Stayed over Mother's Day. It was a super economical place and really cute.will stay there again! Only reason not a 5 was mosquitoes and broken broom vanity

Very pleasant. Large rooms, excellent pool. Family friendly and all the amenities you need... Laundry, breakfast included, ice, parking. Rooms aren't super clean but are OK, no baby cots and tiled floors made it a bit more interesting with a crawling baby but all in all excellent value

Nice place to stay, nothing extravagant, but great place for the price.

We stayed here last summer and I would not stay again. Had little bugs in room and teens were at pool the whole time with loud rap music. My daughter said pool was dirty and I believed her so didn't go in. Breakfast room is not very nice.

Clean pool area, nice breakfast attendant, housekeeping nice as well. smell of cigarettes and dog linger in 2 different rooms!! Overwhelmingly!! Will not stay here ever again. Unfriendly front staff.

This place has done some remodels but is still out dated. Good luck trying to get sleep at this place. You can hear the TVs through the walls, and people stomping around, not only in their rooms but out on the cat walk. Not enough parking and dont even expect to use the pool cause it's small and filled with kids. Worst experience I've ever had at a hotel. Save your money and stay somewhere else.

Wifi was on and off, which you needed because you didn't get good cellular signal. Rooms were nice but there was still stuff left over from the previous guest. Breakfast was good.

It was a dive hotel. Maintenance is needed real bad. Foriegn owned family and they are less than knowledgeable about the hotel industry. Beds are horrible. The towels ripped when you used them to dry off. I was with guys so I dealt with it. I would never take my wife there. She wouldn't stay there.

An Amazing place for a getaway. Some Island time is what I needed. Perfect location. Dollar store right next to it. And a short distance from a beach access. The most friendliest and knowledgeable staff. And always available. I will be returning based on my experience.

I stayed last month and was not impressed. Our rooms were not ready and we were switched from upper floor to downstairs. Room was decent just to sleep and shower. The floor was sandy (when we arrived) and walls are thin (could her our guest next to us. Towels and bed sheet had stains (wife though maybe blood and was not caught). Freezer in fridge was not clean. Not enough chairs pool side. Cigarette buds everywhere including the front entrance. Breakfast was decent but not enough tables and chairs for all guest to sit. BBQ grills were not clean after use and one was on the ground (I guess it was damaged), Laundry room - 2 washer & 2 dryers, both dryers were out of order! AC unit was loud every time it came on to cool the room. Less than a minute drive to the beach and 10-15 minutes walking. Emailed the GM (they send a email after you leave how your experience was) and NEVER seen a reply back. Will rent a condo closer for the same price we stayed.

Was in the room for only five minutes and due to the smell got a headache. Manager would not refund the money and had to go down the road to Days Inn. Manager was very rude saying if we have so many allergies maybe we should stay home. If I could have given 0 star I would.

Only reason for the 1 star is because it is located in a good spot but unfortunately room was extremely dirty. Before putting my belongings in the room I wiped it down and so much filth was on my disinfecting wipes. Bed sheets were dirty as well. Also employees were rude and need help with customers service.

Typical hotel room only complaint is that my room wasn't cleaned the whole time I was there from Friday to Monday or at least no clean towels were replaced

Simple check-in, checkout, and about a one mile drive to the beach. Rooms are clean, and the breakfast was delicious. Would definitely recommend and stay here again

Didn't even get to check in. I'm 18 and apparently you have to be 21 to stay there, I paid in full, they took my money, and when I asked for a refund when the kicked me out they refused to give the money back. We're filing a dispute.

Would definitely come back! Enjoyed our stay thanks to the friendly staff, and super clean environment.
